The food was great, and the service was greater. From the hostess to the server to the busser/ food runner - all did a great job. One minor matter... I'm "old school," and it's a bit uncomfortable for me to be addressed by my first name by someone I don't know well (or haven't invited to do so). It's just me, I'm sure... I have the same "problem" with banks, grocery stores, and on-line customer service professionals who are instructed to call customers by their first name, presumably "to personalize" the service. With me, I'm affected in an opposite way. However, that doesn't stop me from wholeheartedly and strongly recommending this restaurant (or server). It was an excellent experience, and I'm looking forward to returning.

Great service - one of the guests in our party is gluten-free, and I was impressed on how diligent they were in checking everything. Food was great, and our waiter told us about some of the great specials going on.

The filet Oscar was excellent but really overpriced at 53 dollars. A single averaged sized baked potato was $11 US! The so-called house made burrata laced the creamy silkiness that is its hallmark and was more like potted cottage cheese. A shared appetizer, the two filets and a shared potato plus a bottled of wine (overpriced by about $15) set us back well over $200 before tax and tip. No salad, no coffee, no dessert, not s complete meal! That is really, REALLY expensive. They are NOT Morton's!
And the service was not so great either. The bread was a longtime coming. They didn't have the wine as advertised. They took forever to serve the wine. Just not worth it.
Go to the Paragon instead.

We visited Fleming's for Father's Day. The brunch was wonderful so relaxing! I had the prime rib and my husband had the Egg's Benadict. Very delicious! We enjoyed our morning before visited our own fathers. We will definately go to the brunch again.

Excellence on every level -- staff (thank you especially, Paul), management, food, ambiance -- with attention to every detail. It was my birthday and and my granddaughter and I were made to feel very special. Signed card from the staff atop our table on arrival and truffles on our departure. It was a well-timed though completely relaxed presentation. We had ample time to be early for "The Lion King".
I have dined all over the world and this has to be in my 'Top 5 ' of all time!
A true gem in Dayton.

We were their to celebrate a wedding anniversary. They paid attention to every detail-from a card signed by the staff to the box of truffles when we were done and leaving. Our server was attentive but not intrusive.
Our meal was well prepared and well presented-as well as delicious.
Have u tried Flemings for Mother's/ Father's Day?
Flemings is an awesome steak place. We have eaten here a few times. We decided to go for their Mother's Day brunch. It was excellent and will attend their Father's Day brunch (offerings are the same). For one price you get a choice of appetizer, entrée, vegetables to share and a dessert. All were delicious. I especially enjoyed the sparling mimosa. Excellent service on a busy day as well. It is well worth a try.
Consistent and very good.
This restaurant is extremely consistent and of above average quality. It may be the last higher end chain restaurant worth dining at. I have given up on most Ruth's, Morton's, and Roy's (not all since a few still have notable chefs). I took my wife on a date for her birthday. The food was excellent, the service was spot on, and there was a nice desert.
We dine here at least 12 times per year.
Also, the bar food is fantastic if you can get a seat!
We usually enjoy dining in the bar area, but decided to dine in the main dining room. The bar scene is great for people watching.
I was in the mood for steak, but nothing too heavy. I ordered the Newport Filet which is a 6 oz Filet, medium rare. My husband ordered the standard 8 oz Filet Mignon. I've ordered 6 oz. Filet Mignon's from other locally owned establishments and they're usually fantastic. The steak I had at Fleming's was not a Filet Mignon. It was a combination of beef and lots of chewy fat. It was absolutely terrible and so not worth the calories nor money. I should have asked the server to describe what "Newport" meant before I ordered. My husband's Filet was good.
I think, I'll stick to the other establishments here in Dayton, who I know serve a great Filet Mignon, without robbing the wallet or dousing it in chemicals.
Always a good experience
It has been several months since our last visit to Flemings. We have had several bad experiences at other so called steakhouse. They never seem to be able to prepare food at the correct temperature. My steak was perfect, the side dishes were wonderful, the wine "CANVASBACK" was great, and dessert was really good. The service from the time we walked in until we left was top notch.
Flemings-Great Food, Wine, and Atmosphere
The Filet Oscar Style was cook just right, given you the right taste at each bite. The amount of Oscar and the taste of that and the way they lightly charred the Filet was outstanding. Hats off to the Chef. All the food was cook to perfection. The service was outstanding, friendly, informative, and right on time with each part of the meal.

I love the great steaks at Flemings! Such a nice place for a relaxing dinner date and some great steaks! Excellent service and very attentive wait staff. Going with an open table reservation is perfect. They are always ready for you and providing prompt service to get to the table and get seated. Nice experience !
Things are changing
I love a good steak and always thought of Flemings as top tier. I still consider them in that category, but the steak was not as tender as previous visits and the a la carte pricing is getting to be over the top. I might give it one more go for a special occasion, but they are starting to lose me. Service is still excellent.
