Flemings really does know their steak and how to cook it. The steak is always perfectly cooked and delicious. Their staff is attentive and they have at least one person who will drift by during the meal just to make sure that everything is as it should be. This time when we ate there the restaurant was never more than 70% full so it wasn't as loud as it usually is.
Great food. Attentive staff. What's not to like? The prices. I've eaten here before and will probably do so again. But the prices are off the charts for what you're getting. There were four of us. We ordered two glasses of their "moderate" level wine (large pours), four sides (nothing comes with your steak), four steaks (none of their more expensive ones), two decaf coffees, one dessert. With tip this came to $400. It's just kind of hard to justify. So before you go be sure you're going to be able to enjoy your dinner while paying at least $100 per person.

The food presentation as well as taste was not compatible with the $$$ price. The food did not live up to the description provided on the menu. We were hoping to get an intimate setting, instead we got a bar like atmosphere.

We celebrated my birthday at Flemings Birmingham. The food was wonderful and so was the wine! I can't say enough good things about the service. Everyone was extremely friendly. Overall, it was a great birthday dinner!

Flemings food has been always been consistent. Only thing I wish they put back on their menu is the veal chop. No complaints on the bone in ribeye!! I go there about four times or more a year for business and the employees that have been there a while always remembers us.. this last visit I seen a lot of new faces, but we were still treated great. Would always recommend Flemings.

We were visiting our UA student daughter from CA over Thanksgiving and chose Fleming's Thanksgiving Day menu to celebrate. We chose wisely. The food was delicious. It was a perfect amount to leave with that "full" feeling Thanksgiving is known for without being "stuffed". Problem--no leftovers for the next day. We will definitely be visiting Fleming's Steakhouse here in California where it all began.

We were there on a Sunday night. The prime rib dinner is only served on Sunday so my husband a meat lover tried it. It was just ok. He ordered it very rare and it was medium rare. The sauces that came with it were kind of bland, but the shoestring potatoes and the Caesar salad were good. The molten lava cake for dessert was excellent. It's a good value at $40 dollars when a number of the steaks are more than that with no sides. Too bad the main event was just average.
I ordered the ahi tuna small plate and it was... very small, perhaps 2 oz. at the most and cooked more than one would like tuna cooked. The ambiance was very nice and our server was very attentive . We may go back to try a real steak.

Fabulous! Steaks were perfection!! Food was incredible. Wine list impressive. Service impeccable. Waitress was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Manager checked on us as well. Great attention to detail in every way. Will most definitely return. One of my favorite Birmingham restaurants. Can't get a better steak anywhere.

Our daughter had been wanting to try Fleming's so we took her there for her birthday. The entire staff made her feel special on her birthday, and she thoroughly enjoyed dinner. The food was expertly prepared, and the service was impeccable. I typically only eat at Fleming's for business dinners, but we will be adding this to our personal restaurant rotation.

We were celebrating our 19th Wedding Anniversary and Fleming's surpassed our expectations. The receptionist congratulated us on our anniversary and the host picked a very nice, romantic table for us. When we arrived at our table, we were greeted with a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff and a red rose. Our waiter, Raj, was very attentive. Fleming's really went out of their way to make our anniversary dinner special. We recommend Fleming's for special occasions and other events.

We had family visiting from out of town and chose Flemings for Sunday brunch as we had a positive experience in the past. My wife ordered the chicken and it appeared her order was not placed or the kitchen misplaced it as her food did not come out for 10 minutes after the other three in our party had their food. When it did come out it was so tough you couldn't even eat it. The Manager addressed our concern and offered a replacement dish but my wife declined. However the manager did bring her a bowl of fresh fruit. We were informed it would be removed from our bill. After the incident the service was extremely slow and poor. To add insult to injury the waiter removed the lowest priced item from our bill (chicken & waffles) instead of the chicken plate. At point I was done and paid the bill. I would like to assume it was an oversight but unacceptable for an establishment that claims to pride themselves on quality and service. Needless to say my expectations apparently were to high and I will choose to spend my dining dollars elsewhere in the future.
