About Flame Restaurant
Flame, a Modern Mountain Steakhouse, is the signature restaurant of Four Seasons Resort Vail. Flame’s focus will be “fun dining,” rather than fine dining, as guests enjoy an interactive experience. Prepared by Chef Kevin and his team you can enjoy perfectly seared prime steaks cooked on an 1800-degree grill carved tableside, like the 22 oz. dry-aged Tomahawk steak. And share communally served indulgent sides which are locally sourced and seasonally inspired.

Flame Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Food was less than impressive especially for the price. We had it all! Appetizers, kids meals, dinner and dessert! The dessert was the worst. We had apple and vanilla ice cream something and it was watery and worst I’ve ever had! Won’t be back! Price for that meal $338
Food was great. Elk corn dogs were fun. The service was good but I often found our server about 5-10 inured behind when we needed her. However when I could decide which Pinot noir to get she poured little tasters if each which I greatly appreciated. You’re paying for good steak and the ambiance but it’s great for a special dinner.
Service was great. However steak was less than stellar. Ordered med/rare yet ribeye was still tough to cut. Steak knives were less sharp than plastic cutlery. A lot of work to cut such an expensive steak, very disappointing. Wedge salad, mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts were great.
Flame is a wonderful place for a date or a family dinner. Attentive staff make excellent recommendations for both wines and menu items. Carved tableside, the 20 ounce dry aged rib eye is great to share for two. Salads are delicious and the shrimp cocktail appetizer is also a good choice. Lovely ambiance at the Four Seasons Hotel. Will definitely be back when in Vail.
Great meal, great service. My husband realized that our waiter (French accent) was the same as the one whose service we had enjoyed about 10 years prior at the Wildflower (Lodge at Vail), now Elways. The menue at the 'Flame. has a relatively small selection, however everything we had was perfect. The bread was really noteworthy - fresh and crusty with slightly salted butter - great with our red wines. We enjoyed the special with 2 meat entrees, one appetizer and one side. The side of prosciutto wrapped asparagus was as eye catching as tasty. Great composition. The appetizer of spinach gnocchi was creamy and we both really loved it. However, both of these dishes were eclipsed by the thick, perfectly cooked pork chop (Heluka pork, not sous vide, we found out) and the very tender beef fillet. The presentation with the 6 different sauces has always been great.
My husband and I are visiting Vail together for the first time. We got in late and wanted a close restaurant to try out (we’re staying near Lionshead). Based on reviews we chose Flame and we were not disappointed! The server was very prompt and knowledgeable. We did the dinner for 2 special they had which was around $80–one app to split, 2 entrees, and a side to split. Everything was delicious but the steaks were absolutely perfect. Cooked exactly as they should be. The wine was also very good. Highly recommend!
I was very impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. the waiter called me by name, was extremely knowledgable, was attentative without being bothersome, and there were several assistants who kept oour water glasses filled and attended to the normal needs
the steak I had was excellent, and well prepared. everything about the evening was first class and I was very impressed, although not surprised considering that it was within the Four Seasons hotel
We love Flame, especially in the off-season with all of their delicious specials. My boyfriend and I shared the 20oz waygu ribeye (on special) and it was to-die-for!! A-MAZING (no sauces needed)!!! The only suggestions I would add include adding a traditional baked potato, a true wedge salad, and perhaps adding a few more delightful cabernets (by the glass) to the list. Ultimately, we love coming to Flame, and our waiter Raoul is super-friendly, courteous and accommodating!! Thanks for another great meal!! (We're coming back next weekend...seriously.)
My wife and I had a relaxing, memorable evening at Flame. Our server was excellent and went above and beyond to ensure our 1st Anniversary dinner exceeded our expectations. The combo for 2 dinner is an excellent value and very unique for a steakhouse. We will definitely come back.
Great restaurant! They had a combo offer for parties of two that cannot be beat, especially for the quality of the food. The service was good although a little confusing as we had multiple people attending to us at different times throughout the meal. But, with that being said, they were very attentive and friendly. Would absolutely go back.
Keeping in mind this is a Four Seasons Hotel... the food was good but way overpriced! I have had higher quality steaks and eats in Vail for much less. The dry-aged steaks are not aged very long, I prefer a 50+ day aged steak. I would not recommend the dry-aged steaks from this location unless you have never had one before. The service was great as it should be for the amount of money you will spend. Wine list is decent but as expected the markup on bottles was atrocious and not worth it at all. If you are a pretentious a$$ and love overspending this is the place for you. Everyone else should go somewhere else like lancelots.
Loved this Vail Steakhouse. Though I often shy away from restaurants in hotels, I am so glad I didn't shy away from this one. We were there on a quiet night and had a fantastic server who made our night memorable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the menu and knew exactly what would pair well. We of course both had a steak - which come with 6 different dipping sauces. How fun to have a painters pallet on your plate while you dine.
Although we couldn't quite get ourselves to dessert, he brought out some house made chocolates for my husband's birthday. The perfect touch to a perfect dinner.
Menu offered three different sources of steaks, and we ordered from the bottom two. My wife and I shared a very tasty and relatively lean ribeye. My son had an excellent 10 oz. filet. Service was very friendly and always attentive. Be prepared to open your wallet, though. They're expensive!
