The service here was wonderful, and we had a great ocean view. The food was just okay. I ordered a lobster tail, I like the grilled taste but had to cut the lobster with my butter knife, was a bit tough. My spouse got fish and chips, small portions and left us needing to eat in our hotel later. My son ate a hot dog, for 3 of us to dine cost $100. Only one glass of wine involved. Lol. Again, great service, overpriced food. But I guess that's what you get when you eat at a tourist trap.

Basic Monterey restaurant. Food was good but nothing special, service ok but nothing special. View is great and location easy to find.

We were on Cannery Row for a romantic getaway. I'd made the reservation a week in advance. Our hostess seated us at what was arguably the most desirable table in the house: we were over the water, with a view of Monterey and the bay. The clam chowder was outstanding. The wine list included our favorite. Our server was attentive but never hovered. Highly recommended!

We visited for dinner with out of town guests and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service was great and the food was delicious. It’s a great location on the wharf with a fantastic view.

We celebrated our birthday and really enjoyed food. Highly recommend macadamias crusted halibut.

Nice views and festive atmosphere right on the water. Food was good, particularly the macadamia crusted halibut.

My son got a kid's menu spaghetti and meatballs that was tiny for $11. You can either give a small plate of food or you can charge $11 for a kid's meal of pasta, but you shouldn't do both. It was (modestly) better quality than a can of Chef Boy-ar-dee, but it wasn't more substantial.

Perfect spot for a delicious seafood dinner with remarkable ambience. We were able to sit outside right next to the water underneath a heater. Perfection! Our server was also excellent.

What a huge disappointment! From the barely-there service, to the lackluster food, to the high prices, to the butter that was spilled down my husband’s expensive parka coat that the waitress chose to ignore... when we travel, we tend to pick one nice restaurant for a nice dinner out. Fish hopper was our choice. They clearly think they’re an upscale nicer restaurant, but the food is not up to par with what they charge, and our waitress was horrible. No eye contact, barely waited on us, we had to flag her down for everything, and I heard 3 other tables around us complain about their service as well. I didn’t find their chowder to be “award winning,” and I’ve had many a clam chowder in my day. My husband had the surf and turf for $54, and the steak was terrible, baked potato was a joke. At least the lobster tail was alright, but for the price? I had the blackened mahi mahi which was just ok in my opinion. To top it off, the waitress spilled the melted butter from my husband’s lobster tail all down his jacket and didn’t say anything!

Great selection of seafood - friendly wait staff Location at end of wharf overlooking the ocean was calming and exciting at the same time
A worthwhile location for one of your dinners in Monterey right in the midst of Cannery Row
