Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
Now this is what food is supposed to taste like!!! We went on my birthday for lunch and Rob took care of us - he was so friendly and personable and really helped guide us through the menu. We got the fried chicken sandwich, mushroom flatbread, and the kale salad with salmon. Each dish was amazing and the flavors were so delicious. Rob helped us choose wine and the pairings were perfect. I found the restaurant on yelp and I’m so glad we stopped in. It was such a highlight of my birthday!
Food - five stars!
Service - five stars!
Ambiance - five stars!
Everything was perfect and I would definitely return any time I’m back in Santa Barbara!
We were taking my father to dinner. It has proven challenging in the past to find a restaurant that serves cocktails, has nice acoustics so my dad can hear us, and lovely food that all of us enjoy and service that is professional and thoughtful.
All expectations were exceeded. Thank you!
Went here because we couldn't get into The Lark, and it was suggested. It's a beautiful restaurant -- very busy. Our waiter didn't seem too interested in us because we were only ordering appetizers. We asked his help staff twice for some olive oil because my husband can't eat butter. Never saw the olive oil. I told the waiter at the end of our meal just for his information. Just kind of a half apology. If he would have offered a free dessert or something, that would have made me want to go back. They boast they have homemade desserts, and there were only three offerings and not that exciting. Meh. I must say that the man seating everyone was top notch. Remembered names and very friendly.
Had been there before for our daughter’s graduation. Was good then and that’s why we went back. This time the service was lousy. Waitress wasn’t attentive. They only had 1 vegan dish which was drenched in oil. My daughter ate hers, trying to wipe off most of the oil. Gross! I couldn’t make myself to eat mine. When ł told the waitress, she just looked at my dish, didn’t offer to bring it back to the kitchen nor another option. She never apologized and she charged me for it. Below is a photo of my daughters dish drenched in oil. Definitely not worth the money.
We had a wonderful brunch at Finch and Fork. The ambiance open and airy and fun. Beautifully appointed decor. The food is creative and delicious. Be sure to try their take on Eggs Benedict, with mild chipotle hollandaise and perfectly poached eggs. I had them leave off the pork belly but they substituted avocado. The whole dish was delicious and a nice change of pace. Their burgers look amazing, though we didn't order them. Next time!
Really liked the feel of the restaurant, the food was very good. The Manager warmly greeted all the guests and seemed like there were a few regulars which is nice to see. My only criticism was our server. He took a long time to greet us and was not very attentive. I had to ask a couple of other people for things since he was not around. It was not busy so I am not sure what he was doing or where he was. Regardless, the Duck and Trout were spectacular.
We really like this restaurant. It has a comfortable but rich ambience. Bar scene is quite popular but can sometimes be crowded and noisy. Menu doesn't vary much but the food is always well prepared. Has the best sea scallops in town. Wine and food is on the expensive side, all a la carte. Menu could have a little more variety. You get free valet parking with stamped ticket from restaurant. Is convenient to downtown Santa Barbara.
Our waiter was a professional. Attentive but not intrusive. The pork chop was outstanding. We also had a great time tasting the cheese platter with yummy condiments. You have to save room for the vanilla banana milkshake. Milkshake choice felt odd but all 4 of us were lickin our spoons. We really enjoyed the evening. We will be returning.
