39 wedding anniversary food was out of this world had grilled octopus that was unbelievably awesome my wife had the special which was a halibut dish that was delicious melted in your mouth good. I had a rib eye cooked to perfection with potatoes and vegetables which where also cooked to perfection Ernie’s is well worth the price for a special occasion. Sorry I was so lost in the awesome food I forgot to tell you about how wonderful the service was the staff was all very friendly and right on top of your every need
Very Romantic and perfect setting for our date.
I was looking for local restaurant where i would bring my wife for a surprise dinner date for our 19th wedding anniversary..i remembered my co-worker mentioned about Ernie's in Manteca so i quickly made an appointment through open table for 8:30PM dinner. We arrived 30 mins early at the place but we were seated immediately upon arrival. It was Tuesday night so not so many people i guess. Outside does not look romantic for a date but behind the door looks totally different. The staff are courteous but most importantly the food are great. From appetizer, to the entree and desert everything taste great! I will definitely come back to this place and would recommend to my friends.
Excellent bartender very knowledgeable and good conversation. Excellent food
Food and service wonderful. Two loud drunks screeching in the bar during our entire meal. I don’t believe you should allow people like that to destroy the experience of people who are paying hundreds of dollars for a fine meal.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The specialty cocktails are great. I had the Halibut special, and my girlfriend had the ribeye special. Both were fabulous. We both had the crab toast appetizer, it was very small, but good. This is an excellent restaurant, but expensive... If you feel like you want to have a splurge night out, definitely try Ernie's.
Great food, great service! Very impressed! Lobster was tender and fresh! Steak was cooked perfectly! Bread pudding was amazing and moist! Bring back the crab cakes! I want to try those. The crab toast was amazing the tad fishy but still tasty.
Been here several times, never disappoints. Everything is five star
I was referred here by john the cook. He told me about the resterant i decided to take my wife for the night and was surprised on everything and how everything was perfect. For sure one of the best resterants ive been to all year
Great place, spendy but 5 star elegant dining with outstanding service
Ernie's is a great restaurant, located in the heart of the central valley. The combination of fresh ingredients and a highly skilled kitchen, make for some of the best food in all the valley. Their Filet Mignon is comparable to other fine dining locations in Napa, and the San Francisco Bay Area. I would also recommend the Ribeye. If you get either of these steaks, I would recommend their bourbon mushroom sauce.
I would recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood and would like a meal that will not disappoint.
Annual Valentine’s dinner with another couple. This is our third year coming to Ernie’s
The food is good not great; the service was extremely slow, disorganized, and simply lacking. The manager was helpful but the evening was ruined by then.
This was our first time at Ernie’s. The service was outstanding from the moment we stepped in the door to the time we left. The food was delicious and our steaks cooked to our liking. We have been to several top notch steakhouses and restaurants so we were pleased with Ernie’s.
portions for the main course was quite satisfying, cooked to perfection. Very tasty. Our Valentine's Day experience, though expensive, was worth it. the only thing we all felt (party of 4) , and remarked on ,to each other, was that we hardly lifted our forks off the plates for the last bite of each of the 5 courses, when someone appeared to hurriedly take away the plates, giving us the feeling that they wanted us to be done and out. I think a brief"May I take your plates?" would be a nicer approach. I definitely do want to go back and try their regular menu and see if the food is as good as on this special occasion. For such a nice restaurant, the noise level was very high, in the area in which we were seated, almost like you are in a school auditorium, though the room was small. They need some sound-absorbing surfaces. The chef made his very quick and perfunctory pass-by greeting, like a mailman dropping off letters, moving just as quickly as when our plates were removed.
Food was top notch. Service suffered as I think they were understaffed. 2 1/2 hrs is ok for dinner if it's initiated by the client.
The chef is amazing and the food was delicious. The Server was delightful.
Wonderful atmosphere and great food
The menu was so expensive for the quality of food that was served.
A bit expensive but worth every penny. Service was excellent food was excellent small appetizer portions but very delicious
Very friendly service and very good food.
An excellent wine list.
The food and service were good. It is a great restaurant considering there is not another fine dining place on the area. I would definitely return.
Delicious!! I had the halibut special with Brussels sprout bacon risotto and the seasonal veggies-yum! Excellent service! Can’t wait until we come back....
For the first time in many dinners at Ernie’s I received both bad food and poor service. The foie gras first course was obviously precooked and then not brought back to serving temp. The halibut was severely over cooked. Our wait person quick dropped off plates and said he would be right back to see how things were. He didn’t return for thirty minutes. The manager walked by at the end of the meal and without actually stopping looked at us and asked “So how were you dinners, good?” And then just kept walking.
My go to place for food, service and atmosphere. Best place in Valley by far.
A little loud but overall very comfortable with fantastic food! Definitely go!
The food, desert, cocktails were all excellent. I was not the least bit disappointed in any aspect of the meal. We were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant and Lounge had a very cool vibe. We set out to Manteca looking for a new restaurant adventure and we were extremely pleased with the experience.
We've been to Ernie's before and just like our previous dinners ,I have no complaints. We started withThe Duck liver and the octopus for appetizer. It was fabulous. Cesar salad before our steaks came out. Tri-tip for my husband and filet for me. Both were fabulous. Don't change a thing. Was very satisfied. This place is a bit pricey but I don't mind paying $300 plus for a outstanding meal. Very happy
We love Ernie’s — wonderful place, great ambiance and service, and wow, the food is fantastic. Hands down, Ernie’s is THE gem of the Central Valley.
Lovely! Good food, wine, and dessert. Nice ambiance. Good find!!
The staff was excellent and the food was very good. They have a great wine list also.
Everything was great
We plan to come back with friends and family.
Erine’s is simply the best around. Two thumbs up and five stars!!!
Possibly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! The service was outstanding, the food was outstanding and the halibut was above and beyond outstanding !
Ernie’s is a great find. Will go back again and again.
We celebrated my son's bday here. It was just perfect for a special treat. Everything was excellent from service to the quality of food. It's tricky to find since it's in the getto. They should put a sign in the front but it's right next to the casino.
I've always had a very nice dining experience st Ernie's and will always recommend it. It is pricey though
The menu is diverse, gourmet, and menu changes seasonally. The Chef tries new menu items and is always receptive to feedback. The wait staff are professional. This restaurant is a hiden gem in Manteca, if you are looking for a fine dining experience this is the place.
Service was excellent. Food choices were delicious from soup and salad through the entree and dessert.
Loved it! Food, ambiance, service were all fabulous!
