Love love loved the food but the service needs improvement. Arrogant waiter and having to fill up my own wine isn't what I expected of Emeril BUT the food is to die for. The crusted drum was amazing. Would have been 5 star with better service.

The following were food concerns :
Coffee served cold
Sweet potatoes were hard- no flavor
Waitress was not knowledgeable about how the food should be prepared.
Waiters/ helper gave excellent service, except for cold coffee.

Great overall experience. The food was fantastic and watching the kitchen workings as we dined was fun. The manager was very attentive and talked to people at every table to make sure everything was good. Would highly recommend the short ribs and peanut butter ice cream!

At the New Orleans local, my wife who has celiacs was served a gluten meal! We informed the waiter who got the Mgr. They quickly replaced her meal, only to serve her meal, not as she had placed the order, with the waiter.
They served her over cooked veggies and when she asked for her rice. What was delivered was bland white rice, no salt, pepper or oil.
To top it off, the only apology came when they gave us the bill, they did remove her $40 meal off the ticket.

Food was over/under cooked (depending on the dish) Also served "not hot" Server ignored us and took so long after we were finished, we had to skip dessert. Not a great fine dining experience we had come to expect at Emeril's. It was for our grandson's 18th birthday and we probably won't return.

Dinner for six and an overall excellent experience. The barbeque shrimp appetizer was very tasty. Two of the specials that evening were turtle soup appetizer and snapper entry. We also enjoyed the salmon and drum entries. All of them were excellent. The service was outstanding in every way. We enjoyed the banana cream pie, sweet potato cheesecake and the wild flower cheesecake for dessert.

The drum was delicious, however the snapper special left flavor to be desired, the hanger steak was dry and had no accompanying sauce other than that it was good. The bbq shrimp were excellent and arugula salad was nothing special. So the food was hit or miss. The waiter Donnelle was very un-attentive as if upset we were 12 minutes late due to a unknown pararde on canal making taxis and ubers inaccessible. Then, he would not bring us blue cheese olives after 3 requests, my drink took about 15 minutes so I shared my girlfriends martini. I told him we needed more time to order and he started with the rest of my family anyway and then got to us and stood over us like attempting to force us into a descision. I know we were late but we have been waiting to eat here for years. She needed another minute which turned into another 10 minutes before he came back. Not worth the price and it was a big let down for us because we love Emiril and just thought it would be better. I had better service and food in the quarter honestly. We are foodies and enjoy the experience of fine dining and I think they have a ways to go. I would go back to sit at the open kitchen and try some apps and the a few drinks because they were very good, but probably wont be having formal dinner there again on my next NOLA trip, sorry Emiril, Ive been watching your new show and Im glad your traveling but it seems you need to get back in your restaurant.

Our group of 5 women was looking forward to dining at Emeril's as the highlight dining experience in New Orleans. Although it was a good experience, it was not a highlight and we all felt we could have chosen a more memorable place. There was a problem with our dessert order but they did give us free desserts because of this, so we really can't complain. Just not up to expectations.

We were so excited to travel to New Orleans to enjoy incredible food. There is no place better than Emerils for an amazing experience. Service , food and overall experience was first rate. We enjoyed the gumbo, gigantic pork chop, soft shell crab and rainbow trout special. Amazing.

Our meal was absolutely WONDERFUL. The service was exceptional and the open kitchen gave a wonderful feel to the restaurant. Overall, it is one of the best meals I have had while in New Orleans. We plan to come back many more times in the future and recommend the restaurant to our friends.

My husband and I had enjoyed dinners there, but never lunch. Our youngest daughter works nearby, so it was convenient.
The only downside there was trying to decide what to order, as each choice sounded amazing. So we shared several appetizers, chose three different mains, and had very little conversation while we enjoyed every succulent bite of each!
Service was great, esp the wine suggested by our waitress.
We'll be back!

Sorry, Emeril. You seem like a nice guy, but your signature restaurant is nothing special.
We were disappointed by everything but the service. My wife had the Duo of Beef which was served warm - just enough not to be sent back. The "duo" featured what may be the most "petite filet" I've ever seen in my life (about the size of a serving spoon). I had the misfortune to order the Hangar steak which was served medium rare vs. the medium that I ordered. Those who know are aware that hangar steak can be extremely chewy if too rare and this one certainly was. We didn't bother with a dessert - we were confident we could do better elsewhere.
Finally, this isn't my first time at Emerils. I been there a few times in the past and the food is none too remarkable. I would recommend Emeril's Delmonico or even NOLA over this restaurant.

Food was great and our server was awesome. We sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen. We split a dinner and had the pork chop! It was cooked perfectly. Great seats!
After we leave every restaurant, my wife ask each other if we would come back. I would definitely come back to Emeril's again!

The food was remarkable and the portion sizes were more than adequate. The pork chop is gigantic! They have a very nice variety of menu options which include a local and traditional elements. The banana cream pie was the best I've had but the crème brulee was fairly average (nothing else was average though, everything was quite good). The service is very nice, everyone is very friendly.
The prices are not as high as I had expected, especially in comparison to other NOLA restaurants.

Our service was excellent; helpful and friendly with great wine pairings. However our food was disappointing especially for the price. The Hangar steak was very dry and tough with small portions in comparrison to the red snapper which was beautifully presented whole but difficult to debone. It was cooked well but lacked flavor (more sauce). The menus (dessert and main) did not match the descriptions of the specials, and it was clear that many menus were overlooked previously because our party's menus even differed from each other. We were from out of town and disappointed with our experience.

My sister specifically wanted to go to Emeril's for her birthday lunch because of the menu she read on Emeril's on line. When we arrived she learned that the shrimp dish she planned to have was not available. Mary is an excellent cook and is very picky (by her own admission) about what she orders when she goes out to eat. She was very disappointed. However, she did find a shrimp dish in the appetizer section that was - and I quote - "perfect". We split a serving of lobster bisque - delicious! I had the fish with noodles, corn, pancetta and oyster mushrooms. I didn't eat the mushrooms because they were very strong. Otherwise it was delicious. Our server was Ashley. Fabulous! Our experience was wonderful and that made the day. You see last year I missed Mary's birthday because I was recovering from major surgery at MD Anderson. Our meal was very important and in spite of the first glitch it turned out to be perfect!

I raise beef cattle in Wyoming. I've eaten lots of great beef--our own, "Colorado Raised," and California "name-brand" Ranch beef. I did not come to NOLA to eat beef. I indulged in Emeril's Beef Two Ways. It was exquisite. Incredibly well-flavored and perfectly prepared.
The service was outstanding!
