Thomas was a fantastic server!
More banquet hall kind of place with excellent food than a restaurant.
Staff was focused on a few large groups and really rushed our service.
Seemed pretty clear they were in a hurry to turn over tables.
Food was excellently prepared, we think the Drum at K Paul’s is even better.
Wonderful meal-interesting dishes-flavorful sides with each main dish-helpful suggestions from server-free valet parking
Pricy but worth it as a special treat
Our first night in NOLA, this place set the bar way too high. Amazing food, and service that was so attentive, so professional and personal, that we can't wait to come back!
The best food and service. The swordfish special was absolutely the best preparation of swordfish I’ve had.
Absolutely amazing. No complaints! Food was fabulous and service was even better.
Visiting New Orleans again, but our first trip to Emeril's. AWESOME! We had reservations but arrived a little early. We were seated immediately. Mid week, but the place was packed. We had a team of servers and all were terrific. Having not been there before our expectations were high considering it was Emeril's. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic! We both had red meat, with trimmings and it was some of the best we have ever had. Accompanying sides were perfectly proportioned and complimentary. Last, but not least, we ended our meals with espresso and banana creme pie. To die for! All in all, a great experience and we will certainly return on our next trip to NOLA.
My wife and I have wanted to eat at Emeril’s restaurant for some time now and it did not disappoint. Service was great, food was great, definitely a highlight of our trip to New Orleans!
The service and appetizers were amazing. However the main courses both were unbalanced and quite sweet
Doesn’t get any better with unbelievable wine list, great service, and amazing food!!
Emeril's never disappoints as the cuisine is consistently outstanding!
Bam! The quality of the food was outstripped only by the excellence of the service.
After 3 great apps, ordered the wagyu steak. Taste and smelled awful. We did not eat it and let our waiter know. Would have been a great experience had it been handled and not ignored. I had my hopes up expecting a great meal and ended up being very disappointed. So sad
We had a great time! Our waiter was awesome and super helpful! the food was AMAZING (obviously) and overall had a wonderful time! I highly recommend this place, and do recommend having reservations - we booked something a few weeks before and had no wait.
Very good experience here, I got the rainbow trout entree and while it was pretty good, I found that the fish was slightly underseasoned. My other 3 lunch companions all thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
It was without a doubt literally the best service I’ve ever had, and the filet was phenomenal.
This was a business dinner for six. We arrived as per the reservation (9 PM) and were promptly seated. Drink and food orders were efficiently requested and the drinks promptly served. However, it was an hour and twenty minutes before the food was served and some of the dishes were cold. All dishes were served simultaneously so I suspect some were ready several minutes prior to others. The staff were friendly and courteous but the timing and meal waere very disappointing.
The ambiance is light and modern. Maybe better suited to a lunch place than fine dining. The service was outstanding with all the food delivered at the same time. We had a rib-eye with lyonnaise potatoes and a filet. Both entries were buried under the side dishes making for a rather unattractive dish. The food was OK, but definitely not worth what we paid. Too many excellent restaurants in NOLA to plan on going back.
It did disappoint. We found Emeril’s in New Orleans to be pretentious and very overrated. Think steakhouse. Or what you would be glad to find if you were at Disney World. More like a corporate dining experience. You would be better served finding a restaurant driven by a James Beard nominated chef. Our food was tasty but not great. The service was poor. Our waiter actually sneered at us when we asked what beer they had on tap. Apparently he hasn’t heard about microbreweries, or perhaps he hoped we would order one of the $600 bottles of wine.
We were celebrating my wife’s 60th anniversary and she is a real fan. Everything was perfect. Thanks Emeril!
We loved our experience. The food was great. Service was fantastic and great price. Loved everything about it. I would highly recommend!!
Took my kids out to celebrate them. They loved it, they felt fancy, and we enjoyed everything from the food to the ambiance. The service was great from everyone.
It did not disappoint. We have eaten at other celebrity chef establishments before, but Emeril’s was excellent in every regard, and met our most loftiest expectations. Not a tourist trap nor overpriced celebrity chef hangout, truly excellent in every way.
The exerience at Emiril's was deliciousness surrounded by service excellence. We both had the Barbecue Shrimp starter, a savory dish of shrimp swimming in a tasty dark brown sauce. The Wagyu beef fillets were expertly grilled. Our servers were awesome and the venue is beautiful. Top ratings!
Went there for our anniversary, was greeted at the door and wished a Happy Anniversary, went to our table and that was where the well wishing ended. Ordered the fried chicken and also the filet. Emerils ruined me on fried chicken, I will never eat fried chicken anywhere else.
Lovely meal and impeccable service
Service was some of the best I’ve ever had, menu was so diverse and appealing. One of the best meals I’ve had in Nola.
Excellence was the word From the treatment by the staff to the quality of the food. Pleased. will return.
Excellent in all respects.
My friends and I came just for dessert on Pi Day. We we're a little nervous because we were just going in for dessert and we knew it was a nice restaurant, but everyone treated us with the upmost respect and did not care at all. Staff was super nice!
Took my wife for her birthday. Conducted quite an extensive research beforehand of lots and lots of the wonderful restaurants this city has to offer. Without going into much detail I would hands down visit it again. It’s going to be my stopping point every time I fly from Miami. Went to Commander’s Palace the next day and, although, the ambiance and the food presentation were five stars, they can definitely learn from Emeryl’s attention to detail. Little things that count. I would leave six stars out of five if I could.
The food was good and the service was fantastic. The only complaint we had was that we were seated by an area sectioned off by a curtain. There was a large party/meeting behind the curtain that was quite loud and often pushed/bumped us through the curtain disrupting our meal and making it difficult for us to enjoy a quiet date night.
Third time dining at Emeril’s while visiting from California. Never disappoints but this Emeril’s on Julia St. was the best yet! It was a perfect evening!
Amazing food, exceptional service! Fantastic experience all the way around
Emeril’s is probably our favorite restaurant. It’s a short taxi ride from the quarter. The service is The Best. We got there before 6 and the crowds. My husband got the truffle fried chicken and we are still raving over it. I got the swordfish special and I cleaned my plate which I don’t usually do. The kale and beet salad was fabulous with chervil on the bottom. Yum. I don’t think it’s very expensive for a fine dining restaurant that’s still casual.
Disappointed! We visit this restaurant every time we come to NOLA, but after this visit we’ll be looking for other dining options. The waiters were hovering over our table waiting to turn it over for the next diners. We ordered 3 courses, but the main course was over cooked and the chicken was dry. The final straw was that I asked for a box for my leftovers and they gave the box to someone else (and didn’t offer to do anything about it)
Had very high expectations that weren't quite met. Waitstaff and management could use a little more humility... slightly pretentious and very proud of quality of food. Experience was slightly humorous but we were extremely impressed with wine list
We have been visiting Emerils for many years. It is always fun and delicious. We took friends who have never been to Nola and Emeril’s is always a classic. We were seated immediately for our reservation time, and the service was impeccable as always. As for the menu choices, the pork chop,is absolutely amazing. It was huge and delicious. The black drum was also good, as was the duck. I was surprised at the banana pie portion for the price, which is in my estimation over-priced. We were also surprised by one of the wine selections by the glass. It was a Brancott Sauvignon Blanc which we really like, but we buy it at Costco for $9.00. I’m surprised first of all that Emeril is serving such an everyday wine, but especially that they are charging $12.00! We expect something more selective from their wine program. All in all we had delicious food and fabulous service but the attention to detail overall may be slipping somewhat.
It was truly the best meal. The service was great We would definitely eat here again.
The food was amazing and I would go back again and again.
