Eddie V's - Scottsdale Quarter Ratings and Reviews

It was my Birthday and I did not have a good dinning experience at Eddie V's Scottsdale -Quarter. Restaurant was freezing cold. Had to ask more than once to turn air conditioner up.
Lady waiter insulted me as I had my 4 week old grandson swaddled tightly to keep him warm. She comment he looks like baby Jesus!.I was not humored by this remark. Ignorant!!
Waiter was impatient, rude and forgetful.
Brought food to table that my party did not order. Poor listening skills!
The waiter brought the Birthday desert to table and never wished me a happy birthday!
Lady waitress clearing table, looks at us as if we were dirt under her feet. Slamming the dishes while clearing the table.
I am sorely disappointed in Eddie V's , Scottsdale-Quarter restaurant along with my guess.
NO RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS (Location )RESTAURANT FROM ME.
BIRTHDAY GONE WRONG!

Overall food was very good but the twelve ounce fillet was just average. Waiter was good but not great as we have had better waiters in the past. Their side dishes are lacking variety and it's tough to find a somewhat healthy side dish.

Food: entrees prepared well. Disappointed with 2 items: the Caesar salad was not a true Caesar salad (Bibb instead of Romaine lettuce and no Caesar dressing - some kind of oil mix) and the corn vegetable side dish came with cheese in it - we di not want the cheese). Wait staff outstanding.

we we're waited by Petros, what a fabulous young man. the service he gave us was superb and excellent, very attentive, respectful and knowledgeable, he even had our car ready before we we're ready to leave.
the food was excellent and we will go back, of course a little pricey however we will come back and will only request petro's section. love the bar and the open dining area I like the fact that there are no walls in the main room. great place to eat love the food, but the service was excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!thank you petro.

This restaurant has excellent seafood. My crabcakes were superb. The seabass special was also very good. The brussel sprouts I ordered as side dish were too crispy for my taste. Same for the asparagus that came with the seabass. The service is OK, but the waitstaff is very busy. The noise levels are high, and the place is pretty crowded (well, this was Saturday).
Overall, a great visit, though I would prefer it to be less crowded and without this much noise.

We decide to come last minute to celebrate and had a great time except for the small disappointment in the portion change on the crab fried rice it was lacking crab and the shrimp and crab salad was lacking on the seafood, but as soon as our sever heard our complaint he decided to buy dessert for us. That showed us they care about how their customers feel when walking out after the meal.

I really enjoyed the Blue Point Oysters on the half shell. My Lobster Bisque Soup, was delicious as well. Very nice wine list, in which there is something for everyone. My server Pedro was amazing and timely. He anticipated my needs without me having to ask!

Love Eddie V - the food, place, service. We had a great experience in San Diego, same thing with Scottsdale. The food is superb and the service is outstanding. Too bad Icelandic cod is discontinued.
The prawns with the snapper was delicious.
Overall good experience again at Eddie V ...
Overall good experience again at Eddie V's but some things need work. Food is good and atmosphere is very nice and service is good. Bar band is loud and carries into the dining room and it is too hard to talk. Feels more like a floor show than a dining experience. Could turn us off from going again. Food was all good except for pepper steak which had whole peppercorns on it instead of crushed and potatoes au gratin which were just a mush without any layers or distinct flavor.

It's true: there are several popular restaurants within the Scottsdale area, but Eddie V's deserves a visit. And then another visit. And basically you can just repeat that last sentence because this place is a fantastic addition to your regular rotation of restaurants.
Our experience was first class. We enjoyed a lovely booth by the window, but as far we could see, there is no bad seat in the house. This is especially great because while there are plenty of seats set up about the dining room, they are done in such a way that diners are able to enjoy conversation without overhearing others. (Or oversharing to others, depending on the level of alcohol consumption.)
Turner, our server, was extremely gracious and attentive, but never intrusive. Like the best prognosticators, he seemed to anticipate our needs before we asked for something.
Speaking of which, we decided to go for the Halibut and parmesan-crusted lemon sole for our entrees, and a crab cake and wedge salad before the main course. Add in some side dishes of au gratin potatoes and brussels sprouts with bacon (which was another example of bacon making everything better) and you have a meal that was excellent from start to finish.
And as we were approaching the proverbial finish, we mustered up the strength (and stomach capacity) to make room for dessert. These were calories very well spent as the bananas foster buttercake(!) with butter pecan ice cream was impossibly delicious. Also, if you're feeling generous with your company at meal's end, it's the perfect size to share. (But believe in yourself enough and you can polish one off on your own.)
The entire visit was well-paced, from opening cocktails (very refreshing) to coffee service in the latter minutes. We were treated warmly as valued guests and we certainly recommend Eddie V's.

We have eaten here many times previously but not recently. We forgot how good the service and food was. We had Tuna Tartar and Calamari as appetizers; they were super! Our dinners were also excellent. Highly recommend Eddy v's. The place was super busy; good sign!

I went to Eddie's V with my husband and another couple. It was a little loud for our visit but the live band was entertaining. The appetizers were excellent, calamari, and the taco lobster. For the main meal we had 2 orders of Chilean sea bass, 1 shrimp meal, and 1 halibut entre. The only issue was with the halibut. It was very dry and not edible. The server asked to replace the meal but my friend felt by the time the new meal came out the rest of us would have finished our meals. The server was very nice and took the halibut off the bill.
The Chilean sea bass as amazing and so was the shrimp meal.
I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant.

We went for an anniversary celebration & our table had an anniversary card & rose petals from the restaurant staff. The wine & drink list is extensive. The lobster bisque soup was rich & delicious. We both had a seafood dinner (halibut & scallops) then shared augratin potatoes. We enjoyed our entrée & the side dish. For dessert they gave us a complementary chocolate cake & ice cream. The service was attentive plus a manager came by to check that everything was satisfactory. We are looking forward to returning.
I'm Addicted To Eddie V's......Please Help! LOL...
The raw oyster selections are dynamite. Service is always top-notch. It is also nice to hear the live entertainment playing in the background. Love the food here, and I always bring my visiting out of town guests. They love it!
How loud can it get?
My wife and I have been regular diners at Eddie V's for some time. The food and service have been first rate. But on our most recent visit on a Monday evening, the dining room was so loud that we had to nearly shout to carry on a conversation. I don't mean that the place was simply lively -- it was downright ugly loud. Many of the decibels came from a three-piece band in the bar. We asked our waiter to see if the volume could be turned down, but to no avail. We will probably give the restaurant another chance since we have enjoyed it so much in the past, but be forewarned -- you may not be able to carry on a conversation.
The service and recommendations were great. Bar was lively and active. We sat just in dining room but near the bar, good people watching all around. The seabass and halibut were awesome. Appitizers were great as the crab cakes are all crab and pot stickers were the best. Server was outrageously good!!!!
Happy at Eddie V's
We have never been to Eddie V's before and we can't wait to return. We went there because it was on Open Table and had sea food. Everything was perfect from the oysters, red snapper, chocolate cake to the service. We hope to visit other Eddie V's in the near future.
Just Another Fabulous Meal
Ahhhh........I can always count on Eddie V's to deliver a quality experience. From start to finish, all was delicious, fresh, and hot. The Crab Cake appetizer is always a treat. The Sourdough Bread, piping hot and fresh right out of the oven is always an enjoyable sin to partake in! Lol.......

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with friends, it was truly a dining experience. From beginning to end, the food, our server was excellent. We went into the lounge for an after dinner drink, the trio amazing. We would definitely recommend Eddie V's....
