The food was disappointing , the ambiance nice, Great view of the ocean.
Mother’s Day dinner. Front desk not very friendly , server was good but let down by basically underwhelming food. Echo has got progressively more complacent and apart from a handful of decent appetizers, it’s a c- A Decent burger but the rest of the mains were average to poor. Shrimp and grits once great were just bland. Lobster was poorly
Prepared and he Alfredo was stodgy and flavorless. Hotel prices but Arby’s quality. Get it together guys. You have the location but it seems no one cares.
I suspect no one is overseeing quality in the kitchen.
Drove from Hilton Head. Went for Mothers Day. Brunch buffet was okay, but not great for cost. No way to eat any where near $68 per person in what was offered. Wished we had ordered off menu instead. On plus side we had a great table with beautiful view which made up for it.
I'd recommend ordering off menu and skip a brunch buffet. View was great and think that made up for food since it was Mothers Day.
Perfect waterfront location and great food and service! Would highly recommend!
A few flies flying around, but other than that, it was enjoyable.
The hostess was extremely nice and friendly - provided a warm and genuine welcome. Server, Kristen, also extremely pleasant and helpful- provided great meal recommendations which certainly did not disappoint! Highly recommend and would visit again when I'm in the area
Great outdoor seating. Adequate entree options with some small plates and appetizers as well. Dessert was okay. Great service, good happy hour (actually at a decent time) and great ambience. Lots of young professionals, some vacationers, families with young children plus others just seated at the bar for a drink. Open and very pleasing design.
Our complete moonlight experience was excellent as always
Often eat Sunday breakfast here..It was a beautiful day and we sat outside overlooking the ocean..We had the kings breakfast ...outstanding..our service was great with waitress Rachel. Floor manager Tanner was very helpful and most welcoming..Need a new toaster...as usual, toast was only toasted on one side..
Wonderful dining experience on the Patio with the incoming tide and the full moon it was simply amazing!
The weather happened to perfect the day we were there so my mother and I opted for the oceanside seating. Between the lovely breeze and great meals, we give our experience a 5-Star rating.
Our server James was attentive without being intrusive! He gave us a good laugh when asked if the restaurant did anything special for birthdays- he replied we can double your bill🤣. Then he brought out a beautiful desert for both my partner and I to share- it was wonderful. This was my partners 75th birthday, so we appreciated the special treatment. The food was delicious and the oceanfront dining room has a lovely view. We spent more than usual for a dinner, but both agreed it was well worth it!
Beautiful views of the ocean, great food and service and live music!
Had lunch with out of town friends..As always the ocean view was spectacular...food was better than usual...Service very good...our waitress was great..cost of lunch very reasonable.
Food came cold and poorly cooked, our server was terrible-never checked on us, and couldn’t remember anything we asked for. Only saving grace was Tanner the manager who tried to salvage our experience.
Perfect atmosphere, great live music, excellent food and cold beer!!
The service was phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back for the next special occasion. I would recommend going on Friday nights as there is a Prime Rib special including appetizer and dessert for $29 for the 10 oz. Fantastic oyster dip and crab legs. Fantastic drinks from the bar. It was an incredible experience to say the least!
My Mother, daughter, and I had a wonderful lunch on the patio overlooking the ocean. We really enjoyed the beautiful setting, and we had a great waitress. The menu offered a nice selection of lunch offerings, and the food was tasty. I don't usually order crab cakes, because I'm typically disappointed by the over abundance of bell pepper, filler, and shell with too little crab. But I gave the crab slider a try, and was delighted to discover lots of delicately seasoned crab with just enough filler to hold the crab cake together - delicious! I highly recommend Echo!
Excellent food good specials terrific server and great ambience sitting inside the dining room looking out of the ocean!
Fabulous service (with Nisha) and great food. Enjoyed the view and it was nice dining with our child as well. Plenty of options for children. They also helped me in a jam when Open Table couldn't complete my reservation for 4 because of my poor connection. Very helpful manager and hostess over the phone.
Great crab cake breakfast by the beach and pool with a relaxed resort environment!
Easter Brunch was pricey but amazing. A lot of special things on the brunch, like crab claws and high quality smoked salmon. We really enjoyed it for a splurge.
Easter and two birthdays . The waitress was very “green” spilling drinks, not attentive, etcccc
The cost of Buffet is ridiculous and not worth over $49/adult.
Did not like the make your own bloodys and for 90% of time spent there 4 girls from pool hung out at Bloody Mary bar and grazed off the veggies . So tacky! This is another reason Bloody Mary bar is not a hit!!
Easter brunch with large variety of foods. Pulled pork Eggs Benedict were dry with English muffins almost uncuttable, while to be fair, others were fresher. At $69++, seems overpriced. At least one mimosa should be included at that price, but were $10 each or $15 for bottomless. Table near entrance from the buffet was not the best experience, should have asked to be moved away from high traffic area. Probably won’t go back for Easter again.
Excellent surroundings, service, menu and bar selection , friendly staff and a reasonable price.Who could want for more.
Excellent food! The view was awesome!
I have been to Echo many times because of the view. But I had avoided it after that because the service was slow and waiters had to be flagged down. But on this particular night we had Mr. James as our server and his service was great. Finally got some attention. I hope that wasn't just a lucky night because the food is very good. If changes have been made to make more wait staff available I commend the management. I had the 6 oz. filet cooked to perfection and my boyfriend had the bison which was also great.
The food itself was excellent, but the service was substandard. It appeared that the staff was new and barely trained. Some requests were made as many as three times before action was taken, i.e.: a bowl of crab soup was brought without a spoon and took several attempts to get one brought to the table. Next to our table(8 people) was a large party that included the new owner of the restaurant and obviously the staff made sure that they were taken care of to the detriment of the other diners present. For the prices charged, the "total" dining experience needs much improvement. I do intend to try at least one more time, but if the service is not improved I will not return. The date of this experience was March 22, 2018.
Delicious, quiet, and friendly service. Great ocean view.
Often go here for Sunday breakfast after church . The main attraction for us is the ocean side setting and the outside sitting in good weather.
As usual, the eggs etal were cold, the toast either burned or not toasted. Our waitress was great as was floor manager Tanner who much to our surprise comped our meal....The "hostess" was not friendly and having a reservation is a waste of time...Needs some work, but still a nice place for breakfast.
My daughter and I enjoyed a very relaxing lunch at Echo at the King and Prince resort. I ordered the Seafood FraDiavlo and my daughter ordered a delicious salad with grilled shrimp. We also shared a delicious pear/bourbon torte for our dessert. Our waitress was attentive and polite and the gorgeous view and atmosphere was perfect for a Friday afternoon of relaxation! We really enjoyed perusing the historical photos in the lobby as well. We most certainly will return:)
We had a lovely brunch with friends and sat outside. Such a nice ambiance!
Hostess was incredibly rude when we arrived and didn’t think to pause a phone call for at least five minutes while we stood at the stand waiting to be seated. Luckily, a dishwasher saw us and came to seat us and alert a waiter to our arrival. Food and service after that point were amazing.
Great place to eat. Good food, wonderful atmosphere. It's more than a typical restaurant but the food is well prepared.
Beautiful location. Lovely. Great food
Went for lunch prior to going to dinner at Echo's days later. Lunch was excellent all around. Dinner, not so. Ordered the muscle appetizer; about a third of the muscles were closed (bad) and the remainder were "slimy." When we told our server, she did nothing. She did tell the chef, who said the sliminess was probably because of the champagne and butter they were cooked in. What????? Server had super long finger nails, which seemed unsanitary. She also failed to pick up empty cocktail glasses and plates. Ladies room had no towels for drying hands... at 7:30 pm. Other than the muscles, food was good but not sure we will go back. Maybe for lunch.
Had a wonderful dinner. Only restaurant on St Simons Island on the water, our favorite. Service was friendly and courteous. Highly recommend!
Food was ok. Nothing not to brag about. I had reservations a month in advance and they put my wife and I in the back with minimal ocean view. Next time I will eat at Soul BarBQ
The worst prime rib I have ever tasted. They need to find a chef who knows how to cook prime rib.
Ate here Friday and Saturday night. Friday night was wonderful. Gentleman playing guitar was excellent. Saturday night reminded me of eating dinner in a college bar. Had to scream to communicate with our friends at the table. Saturday night seemed to more of a focus on the bar scene and not the restaurant. It was a shame this is a great place to eat. Just maybe not on Saturday nights.
