Food was amazing! Service was spot on, and atmosphere was very romantic! We went here for our 10 year anniversary and wouldn't change a thing! We had the cod and the ravioli, and both were orgasmic! Thank you Diva for making our day so memorable :)
We enjoyed our meals, particularly the cod and the beet salad. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly; however, it took a very long time for our food to come out. A table of four that came in after we were seated was served their appetizers and main course before we got our appetizers. Despite the long wait for our food, we would recommend this restaurant to others.
Very friendly professional staff, payed attention to my food sensitivities. The seared scallops in starter is very good.
Based on all the good reviews, we were expecting more from Diva. Friday nite, after 7pm, we were the third of only 3 parties dining there. We ordered the pear and Gorgonzola salad, thankfully, we were sharing it because it was a very large appetizer. There was no skimping on the cheese, spiced nuts or any ingredients but the overall it was a bit too sweet. For the main course, my partner had the black cod and I had the halibut, the portion size was good, the black cod looked very moist but the halibut was overcooked and dry and the whole plate was rather bland. The wait staff were very pleasant but, for want of a better term, lacked a bit of polish. At this price point, there are many better restaurant options downtown.

The meal was very good and the service was quick. This restaurant is located in a hotel, so it was also quite busy but this was not a problem for us. The wait staff were friendly and helpful.
We celebrated Valentine's here and it was perfect! Service was friendly, courteous and prompt. Food was served at a very nice pace, was beautifully plated and was cooked to perfection.
Went on valentines day, food was way below par for a $90 set meal. The lobster bisque literally tasted like chinese shrimp paste; my date also noticed other peoples disgusted faces when trying the bisque. My tenderlion was cooked to perfection (med rare)however had 0 flavor, however my date recieved a steak that was close to raw. It was completely red minus the 1mm of charring on the outside. The mash and the dessert was good at least. We wouldve much rather gone to anywhere else for a $200 meal.
Went on Valentines Day 2018 had the $89 set menu and $125 menu with wine pairing. 3hrs free valet parking for diners which was nice. Though the valets need to learn to take it easy on the accelerator and braking. Our server Ms. Thomas made our evening enjoyable. The food was basic yet tasty. They need to up their game if they are to compete with the surrounding fine dining establishments. Wine pairing was poorly thought out. Sommelier needs to taste the food pair properly. Wine list is weak. Desserts were basic but well done. I feel that management is riding on Diva's past reputation as one of the best fine dining restaurants in downtown. Nothing new since 15 years ago. Probably better then. Kitchen team were shouting too loud that diners in the top corner of the dining room could hear clearly. We can hear that the kitchen team was stressed which doesn't bode well with diners. Music was fit for a lounge not for a dining room. So far, not a top choice for now.
This is the first time I’ve been back to Diva after years of regular visits. It’s as good as I remember! It was a Valentines set menu which can be a disappointment, but not at Diva. Very good. Recommended.

I had the pork chop and it was excellent. Very moist and tender and very flavourful.
the service was phenomenal. the food was overall good, I especially enjoyed their pork belly. The subtle sauce flavors accentuated the crispy pieces of pork. I also ordered the mushroom risotto, which was very good with a hint of what I thought to be truffle. however, if I had to complain about something, perhaps the rice by itself with none of the mushrooms or truffle toppings was a little bit bland. Other than that, our server was knowledgeable and patient, gave us space and was very respectful, kind, and had some humor. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We chose to sit in a quieter area which was very accommodating. It had a romantic ambiance. Overall, a wonderful experience I would recommend to others and come back myself.

The entire dining experience has been exceptional: from the moment entering the hotel (friendly staff greeting), to ordering (knowledgeable staff on ingredients), sampling the chef's creations (innovative mix of flavors), to paying and departure (friendly and fun staff).
Five of us had a great time enjoying the delicious plates on the dineout menu. Our first time at this restaurant and will definitely return.
Nice atmosphere, service was professional. Really appreciated that they took attention of keeping my glass filled. Food was decent and I loved the pairings, but would've been perfect if the entrees weren't overly salted. Overall great value.

Full disclosure - when we went to Diva it was as part of the Dine out Vancouver event, so a more constrained menu but regardless the experience was very enjoyable - good ambiance, pleasant service and great food.
Went to Diva for the dine out menu. Now I’m a chef so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to food and the food at diva was impressive. Everything was perfectly cooked, beautifully plated and the portion sizes were very good for a dine out menu. I was especially impressed by the Stilton cheesecake with port reduction as that is a difficult flavour to balance and get right, but they totally nailed it. The pork belly was also awesome and my Arctic char was cooked perfectly. Compliments to the chef for a fantastic dinner!
The food and service were excellent. For a higher end restaurant the ambiance was not what was expected. Very noisy, cramped and quite plain, no "wow" factor like the wood carving in the hotel lobby. The "wow" factor from the lobby should carry onto the restaurant. Overall a nice place with great food and service.

The service was very good. I enjoyed my pasta dinner. I hope that it is not a norm - my wife had a grilled filet that was very chewy!
Steak tastes not good, worse than homemade by my father in law. Dessert is okay.
This is a classic spot. Great service and excellent value for a NYE dinner.

Great romantic ambiance
We had breakfast at this restaurant so we don’t know other menu but it has really tasty food and good atmosphere.
Actually, we stayed Metropolitan hotel so we can go there easily but if we stay another hotel, we want to go there.

For Christmas Day I booked in advance dinner for two at Diva at the Met. I was interested in their 5 course Christmas Dinner menu. The first course was Lobster Bisque which was very good and the subsequent courses got better and better. For the main we had the roast turkey which was so moist & tender. My husband had the wine pairing with each course. Overall the meal was excellent. We had Sam as our server and he gave very good service throughout the evening despite it being so busy. When we got there the atmosphere was a bit energetic but gradually calmed down as the earlier diners left. Had a look at their regular menu and we may comeback for brunch or dinner in the future.
Christmas dinner. The food was superb, but the giant screen TVs with football, loud chessy canned music and ear-splitting acoustics turned what could/should have been a night to remember into a night I'd rather forget. The chef's preparations were outstanding. Too bad we couldn't enjoy each others company along with food. Will not return.

Our server asked how I wanted my poached egg yolks done. I was given three options that I wasn't familiar with, so I said "Not runny, but not hard." She condescendingly said "So medium." They brought us runny yolks.
The food and coffee was pretty average. The mimosas were slightly better. Unfortunately I could not recommend here for any reason.

The kale and romaine Caesar was so delicious. I had the black cod and it was melt in your mouth perfect.
Overall, the food was good, service was good and the ambiance was good. There really wasn't anything that made me really want to go back. My pork chop dish utilized something called "sakura" pork, which I now translate to a regular cheap pork chop. It was overcooked and overpriced for what it was. If the restaurant reads this, maybe they can look up Berkshire pork or any of the numerous heritage breeds, as a regular grocery store cut shouldn't get a label like that and I would have paid an extra 4 or 5 dollars for a good cut. As for other dishes, the tasting menu shaves a little bit off the cost of the meal, but the portion size is much smaller. The only bargain on the tasting menu is the tenderloin (7 oz vs. 10 oz. on the regular menu), but who eats tenderloin these days? Overall, the sides were good, on par with any "fine dining" establishment. The service was good, our waiter was attentive to our needs, and we appreciated that. The overall ambiance is also nice, with a kitchen sort of central and mostly visible to the diners.
I probably will never go back, as there are so many better placed in Vancouver.
