Dantanna's Downtown Ratings and Reviews
My Dad and I went to watch the Falcons game and made a reservation. The only downside is that the main area with all the big screens is first come, first served. Because of that, we had to watch the game in a back corner with the TV all the way across the room.
This reservation was for Labor Day before the GT vs. TN football game. Dantanna's would not honor our reservation. The restaurant was very hot inside and very loud. After getting on a waiting list we decided to leave. It would have been too uncomfortable to stay there. I do not recommend using Open Table to make reservations, or Dantanna's restaurant.
The food was not good my husband ordered rib steak philly and he said it had no taste...I ordered fish and chips the fish was overly battered and after awhile of eating it I just couldn't eat anymore so we ended up taking half our food with us and by the end of the night it was thrown away we didn't even want it we went to American Deli later that day their food tasted better than that save your money go to chik fil a its across from it
The restaurant was backed up so our food came very slowly...so much so that they comped our meal. Our waitress, Maya, was fantastic, doing her best to keep us happy and get us our food asap. She was knowledgeable and pleasant. The manager was very nice and definitely was responsive to the very slow speed of the food prep.
The food itself was tasty. I rarely eat okra, but the okra appetizer was really good. Also, the fries were great.
We were there for Mother's Day and the food, service, and atmosphere was great. Mother's ate free and it was well worth it. We made reservations and our table was ready. Although it's a sports bar, it's also a very upscale sports bar with great food and classy atmosphere. I can't wait to go back again.
Great place for dinner and drinks. The service was very attentive and on point. We were celebrating a birthday on a Thursday night and the crowd was lightt. We will definitely go back. No need to drive to Buckhead, this location is convenient and has great service
Food was delicious however we were there 3 hours. The restaurant itself was nice with tv's to occupy the time waiting for our waiter to check on us about every 30-45 min. Price was fair but for the quality I would def come back again. I assume the waiter had one of those nights, hopefully the next time we're in town and stop by for a bite it will be a little quicker. Recommended for guests of the Omni towers for sure!
We were in Atlanta attending a convention. We decided to find a restaurant close to the hotel. We assumed from reading the reviews that the food would be good but the food exceeded our expectations and the service was wonderful. All three of us were very pleased with our meal.
Great service, staff was friendly and food was wonderful. Would certainly recommend. Will definitely come back when we visit Atlanta again.
We got sat and several people walked by with out greeting us. A server even was talking to the table right next to us . At that point I started my timer and told my wife if it got to 3 min (we had been there for 2 min already) we where leaving . So still know one after 5 min. So we left and went to another restaurant .
Initial seating was wonderful given that we had a reservation and it was crowded however; the experience from there went downhill. It took over 1.5 hours to get our food and the taste was mediocre at best. Management stated that the reason was due to an unexpected crowd but they are located inside the CNN center beside Philips arena and right by the GA Dome I am positive that they should be used to crowd management at this point. Overall, I will not visit this restaurant again.
Had dinner with a friend before the ATL Hawks vs Miami Heat on Friday March 24th. I made a reservation through Open table but arrived early and found good seats at the bar. Told host station we would give up table in favor of bar seating. Two bartenders cared for us, Kinley and Brittany. Both were good but Brittany was particularly attentive and up tempo, frequently making eye contact, even from a distance. My friend had the shrimp & scallops risotto which he said was great. The plate was very attractive. I had the beer battered shrimp (a favorite of mine) which were slightly soggy inside, likely caused by the fryer oil temperature being a bit off. My sides were garlic mashed potatoes (super and creamy) and asparagus (spot on). For drinks my friend had Crown Royal on the rocks, good pour each time, and I had Sapphire & Tonics (needlessly large lime slices though) which was also was a good pour. Dantanna's at CNN does a great job and I frequent it before many Hawks games as season ticket holder. Keep up the good work!
My boyfriend had the special with the shrimp chicken and scallops and it was extremely spicy for no reason. Hot peppers were everywhere in the food. We love spicy food but this dish was pretty much a hot pepper dish, meaning we couldn't even taste and enjoy the meat. All we tasted was hot peppers. Every bite he took, he had to spit out a piece of pepper. As I stated before, we love spicy food, however this dish had no balance. The shrimp were still connected to the tails, which makes eating this dish messy. We were not pleased especially for this dish to be about $30. I ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes and broccoli. It wasn't bad, I just would not order it again. It did not satisfy me. (And Im a salmon lover). I think we would have been Better off with just a burger and fries.
