I really want to give this place 5 stars but I can't over look our initial impression. We were not greeted at the door for at least a good 5 minutes. The entry way is quite crowded with the bakery register and the host stand only having a small walkway between them. Since there were two groups waiting to pay, we could not reach the host stand. Not that it would have mattered much anyway. Once we were able to make our way there we counted at least 8 times a server came up to the stand and didn't even make eye contact with us. After about 15 minutes we almost left. But the menu looked so good I waited it out even though my boyfriend and kids were begging to leave.
I'm glad we stayed. Once we were finally seated the service was fantastic. We coincidentally enough had the same server as we had the night before at a different restaurant. He apparently has great taste. We were very pleased to have him again. He does a great job. Another server was very interactive with my kids. She was very sweet. The food was top notch and the prices very reasonable. I would definitely eat here again. I really wanted to buy the cook book at the front but talked myself out of it. I had the shrimp and grits and it was spicy and flavorful. The fried green tomatoes with it were awesome. I took a bite from all my family's plates and everything was perfectly cooked.
I'll definitely come back and hope in the future the front of house staff and a bit more aware of people waiting at the door. A little acknowledgement can go a long way.
friend and i visited myrtle beach for vacation and loved this place so much we went a second time.
their bloody mary, mimosa and tiny muffins were so tasty. i had the california benny (it was deeeelish) and he had the crabcake benny and loved it.
their bakery selections looked really good, too.
smart casual dress is recommended (you don't want to roll in here straight off the beach).
kids are welcome and i know this because a very vocal child was sat next to my table which is not something i anticipated considering this location serves alcohol.
our server was cool and knowledgeable.. provided great recommendations.
aside from the screaming tiny human, i enjoyed this restaurant. highly recommend.
Crab benedict was excellent; I would get that again! The bananas foster french toast was way too sweet and the bread was very dry- needed to soak in the egg longer before cooking. The waitress was underwhelming and complained when we used the extra plates for the she brought for the "wrong food". We had better and happier wait staff the day before at a cheaper breakfast location less than a quarter mile away.
We visit Croissant's whenever we vacation in Myrtle Beach. The sandwiches and desserts are delicious and the staff are wonderful. On this occasion we brought our son who has celiac disease. He happily ate a gluten free grilled cheese sandwich and a delicious gluten free almond joy cake for dessert. Always fabulous.
Great place to eat when visiting Myrtle Beach. Disappointed that they were not serving dinners, but good to know that their new place will serve dinners. Will give it a try next year. Be aware that gift cards expire in a year. Not a problem for locals but can be for vacationers.
Excellent ad usual! Glad I made a reservation for breakfast because it was busy. I was impressed with the service! My husband went to use the salt and the top broke with tons of salt pouring out. The waiter rushed over and told my husband he's having the chef make new ones. Wonderful service! It's my favorite place to eat!
I love all the gluten free options they offer! I have celiacs disease and have eaten here several times with no problems to speak of! It's wonderful to find a place that makes a gluten free flat bread and this one is awesome! Plus, the build your own Bloody Mary bar is perfect for brunch!
Our fourth trip this week and we're just as happy as our first. Our server, Michael, was great and remembered our preferences from the previous day. We tried the apple and custard danishes this morning, which were the perfect balance of pastry and filling. The Pennsylvania Dutch pancakes (with blueberries) and eggs Benedict are among our favorites and didn't disappoint today. We would definitely recommend this spot and return on any future trips to the area. The friendly service and delicious food make it a must!
Our first time in Myrtle Beach, this was our first stop after checking into our hotel. Our server, Rachel, was very accommodating. I had the farm fresh omelette, which was cooked to perfection, including the vegetable filling which was perfectly sautéed. My husband had the eggs Benedict, which he said were delicious. Both dishes included hash browns and fresh croissants. The service and food were so wonderful we couldn't wait to return again!
Always enjoy croissants when at the beach. I liked their previous menu better but it's still great food. The pimento cheese ravioli was fabulous. The meatloaf was very tasty but a tad overdone.
Bring back the Brie appetizer and the filet with pimento cheese crusted potatoes !
