Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Kansas City Ratings and Reviews
Went for a b-day and was our first time. My wife was having an out of body experience with the pork chop & my salmon was good. Service was fast & friendly. The wine was incredible. The front bar got very busy towards the end of our meal & made it difficult to do any further wine tasting. We are now members!
The food and wine were excellent. I believe our waiters name was Spencer and he actually made the whole experience even better. He was very fun, attentive and made sure we had samples of a few things that we had not had before.
They actually use the Open Table reservation system. Once you check in with the host/hostess you will receive a text when your table is ready. The place was absolutely packed but they were very efficient, I think we only waited 5 minutes.
Overall we were very pleased with our experience. The food was great but not exactly what we wanted. We arrived at 7 pm on Saturday night and were very disappointed when the server told us they were out of several entrees then once we ordered he came back and said one of the four entrees we ordered was not available. The food was ordered was marvelous and the service was second to none. And the classic red sangria was delicious! We will be back.
We have been to Cooper's Hawk several times, and have enjoyed the food and ambiance. However, on Saturday night, the service was not good. We had a reservation for 5:45 and although we were seated right on time, the service was EXTREMELY slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our salads, and more than 45 minutes after that to get our entrees. Although we wanted to order dessert, we just didn't have the time. The waiter was not all that attentive either, and we had to ask for more water, and even to order our food. Overall, very disappointing for my daughter's birthday celebration. Too many great restaurants in Kansas City, I will not go back to Cooper's Hawk.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was great. Our only complaint was that our entrees were served immediately after receiving our appetizers so we didn’t really get to enjoy the appetizer and felt somewhat rushed.
Always a fun and tasty experience! We are wine club members, and brought friends with us for the evening. We enjoyed a wine tasting before dinner and then a great meal.
We also love Sunday afternoon at CH, watching football in the Bar and sharing a salad and flatbread with a glass or two of wine.
I had the maple glazed salmon. Probably the best salmon I've had anywhere. Our waitress was attentive, polite and knew what food to recommend. I had a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. OMG fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience. We will be back.
Over the years, Cooper's Hawk has surfaced as my favorite restaurant, as I have found that I compare all meals out to Cooper's Hawk! A long-time fan of the Wine Club and the delicious wines they create, I always love to go on a date night with my husband.
All the food we've enjoyed at Cooper's Hawk has never disappointed. The Pesto Caesar Salad is a favorite, as is the Surf and Turf, and those amazing Parm-Crusted Medallions. I also love Dana's Chicken.
The service we always receive is wonderful too. I think in over 3 years of going to Cooper's Hawk locations, I can only recall one bad experience, and since then, management has turned over with very positive results. We appreciate the care and professionalism from the service staff, and everybody is quite kind and patient.
Definately an amazing experience each and every time!
Had an overly eager sever with generic opinions when as how is this or that was only told “ it’s good” which is no guidance at all. We were hounded to order and to quickly be pushed though what should have been a leisurely dinner. The servers appearance was in bad taste with a very distasteful “bun”. The food was overly soggy and sweet, we had the Calamari, I had the lettuce wraps which are something I get every time and the sauces were now the same viscosity and basically all just thick and sweet which has never been the case before. We were given checks before we could even order dessert. The service would be something more akin to a chili’s or Applebee’s quick service and not a sit down meal. Bonus on that there were no used bandages on my table like last time, something I should never have to give kudos for.
