Service was poor. We were seated in a light patron setting. After 10min, I had to request a server
Drinks came very slowly. Server made excuses saying the bar was busy. Another 10 min wait.
Food was superb.
Asked for a after dinner wine, After a long wait I said to forget the wine. Still saying the bar was busy. funny because the restaurant was half full
Overall we enjoyed the evening as food was wonderful

A brilliant Restaurant! We loved the way the menu gave you the history of the dish too! Probably the best Steak i've ever had! My three companions all had brilliant meals too. I cannot praise this place highly enough-it should be 6 star!! I've been to Cuba & to Spain, but you only need to go to St Augustine to appreciate these countries finest cuisine-only better! Excellent!

The menu was very interesting. I just didn't really care for what I ordered, the Steak Tips (I can't remember the name) They have it with Shrimp as well. The sauce just tasted sort of like liver, and it was supposed to be tenderloin, but it was very tough. The salad, however, was incredible! Prepared tableside. My husband and nephew's dishes were wonderful. I think I just did not order well. Our waiter was a little over eager. Very nice, but a little rushing. I find it very annoying when a server asks about dessert while we are only halfway through our meal, which is what happened. However, I don't believe he was trying to rush us, I think he was just a little over eager to please, but could use a little more training.

The Columbia is a world class restaurant that never fails to please. In the 30 years that I have been dining there I have never been dissatisfied in the least. Every guest that I have ever brought to the restaurant comes away in love with the food and the atmosphere. I could not possibly say enough great things about the Columbia restaurant in St. Augustine.

I try and make it to this restaurant at least once a month. It is truly one of my favorite dining spots in the entire North Florida/South Georgia area. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Augustine. The waiters always have very interesting stories of how they got to their position.

We enjoyed our dinner at Columbia st Augustine but there were a few issues. First the restaurants computer system went down and they did not recognize our reservation. We were made to wait 20 minutes along with people who had no reservations. We had the 1905 salad which was very good but it was overdressed. The vinegar was so strong my wife and I could not eat it without squinting our eyes. It would have been better to not overdress his salad.

Pricey but tasty dining option. We ate in the Patio Room which has uncomfortable chairs and is rather noisy. We have dined several times over the years and enjoy it as a unique experience with a varied menu. Our server was inexperienced this time and was a bit of a challenge but everything was cooked well and all of the orders were correct. The salads were very good - we had two different types before our meal.

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves at Columbia. It was our first time there and the food was delicious. The bread pudding is to die for! Our waiter, Michael was on his game. I would recommend Columbia to friends and family, heck even strangers!

I'm sorry but I can't recommend the Columbia Restaurant St. Augustine!!! My husband and I went there to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary and we had the worst meal, I had the Chicken and Shrimp Barcelona and my husband had the Paella “A La Valenciana”. The Paella was mostly chicken and the shrimp in the Barcelona was fishy, both of the dishes the rice was very gummy.. We were very disappointed and will never go back!!! We are from the Tampa area and the only came there because of how much we enjoy the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City!!!

We have been dinning here for over 30 years. Last night was absolutely the worst service as well as meal. We had 6:30 reservation. We arrived early to have a drink in the bar. It was 5:30 and they were able to seat , so we did. This was two special birthdays. Our waiter was Tyler. We were seated in the main dinning room, by street windows. Had to request when we were seated.
Usually get bread once seated. Ordered drinks, they came in about 15 mins, and no bread. Asked waiter, and he said still baking. About another 15 mins passed, finally were served bread.
Order placed, and one dish when brought did not have all items as listed on the menu. Asked for extra juice for black beans, but received extra gravy. It was obvious, Tyler was not listening. Later asked for another round of drinks took at least 15 or more mins. Later asked for refill on tea. Tyler took glass, and he did not come back until we asked another server to send our server. Tyler totally forgot. Apologized and started to leave, we stopped him. Told him of missing food items. He immediately blamed the kitchen, and he said he had no control. He should have made sure dinner was complete to start with.
We told him of not only poor service from him, but about food items not on the plate. He offered next visit to provide free salads as well as dessert if we would ask for him.
That will not happen ever. Absolutely the worst server.

Food is amazing. 1905 salad is phenomenal and the Pollo Valenciana is my favorite dish there. Waitress was attentive and quick to get you what you needed. Though she was busy she maintained a smile and ensured the experience was memorable.

Wonderful dining experience. Everything was exceptional. Loved the atmosphere and food was delicious, as well were the mojito's. Our waitress along with rest of staff were very friendly. Great way to spend our anniversary and will definitely return.

The Columbia is known for its historic significance and authentic cuisine. We experienced both of these. The menu highlights the originality of the food, while the ambience is truly Spanish from the wall tile to the paintings. The food is excellent in flavour and variety. We enjoyed both the lunch and dinner offerings. The Sangria was fruity but not too sweet. The service is attentive but not rushed. All in all a fine dining experience.

This is not the first time we have gone to the Columbia. Got the Chicken Salteado. It was great and so was the sangria. We go there on special occasions and it never disappoints. Top notch outfit from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave.

I recently enjoyed lunch at the Columbia on a Saturday afternoon. We dined at 1pm and I was surprised that we were able to be seated immediately as it can sometimes be busy (though we did make a reservation). The server, Colleen, was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. My dining partner had been to the Columbia many times, but this was only my second visit, so I appreciated the server's explanations of all of the signature items on the food and drink menu. We enjoyed the Cava Sangria and the 1905 Salad was especially delicious and perfect for a light lunch. Overall I would highly recommend The Columbia for a fun and enjoyable lunch. I do know that they get busy, so its best to not be in a hurry but rather enjoy your meal at a comfortable pace with at least 1 pitcher of Sangria :)

Food was mediocre especially for the price. The bread was good. We asked for water and we got a big bottle of water and we were charged $5 for it!
Salad was too heavily dressed.
Restaurant is crowded loud. Chairs were terribly uncomfortable. For $125. I would expect a much more comfortable chair and
Better cuisine. Sorry, but I felt very disappointed.

Dinner at the Columbia Restaurant was very good! We had two warm loaves of bread brought to our table. The butter served with bread is always smooth and very light to the palate. Our meal was prepared in a well timed manner. Not too fast at coming to the table and not a long wait either. The meals were very delicious. Served hot and fresh. Everything had a very cuban like taste. We enjoyed this dinner date very much!
