Ciccio's / Water Ratings and Reviews
Overall excellent. Wished we had been seated at one of the nicer booths that would have accommodated 5 people for a birthday dinner rather than squeezing us at a 4 top. The larger tables sat open the whole time while we dined at a tiny table. Non the less, we love the food, sushi is amazing, love the menu, and everyone raved about their meal! We've been before and we'll certainly be back!!
We ordered several sushi rolls and garlic edamame... all were excellent. Each of us had a different "bowl" as an entree. I thought it was pretty good but might try something different next time... however everyone else was very happy with theirs.
This was our first visit there and we will be back.
We always enjoy our meals at Ciccio's, we took our neighbors to dinner there to catch up, we arrived at 8pm and the DJ was far too loud which made us have to yell the whole dinner. Everything was great still but we will choose another venue next time when we want to talk to our friends at dinner.
The food was great, but I was turn off at first by the heavy burnt oil smell wafting in the air. It made it difficult to enjoy the place at first, but eventually I adjusted. Otherwise, everything else was great. I especially enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes, delicious!
We used to go to the Ciccios in St. Pete all of the time, but a new job and a new house has us over in the Tampa area. We stopped by to check out their 2 dollar tacos (or "flats" as they call them" and the menu was a little different than the st. pete store. This one focuses more on the sushi side of things so there were lots of delicious tuna options. The decor and ambiance was awesome. Saw signs for live music on certain nights of the week. They have a big room off to the side for large parties. The bar itself was really cool. You could tell this is a weekend hot spot. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch, dinner, evening, weekend. all of it
Great service and good food, unique for Tampa area. Way too loud for older folks like me but probably a perfect decibel level for 20- and 30-somethings. Free valet parking a big plus. BIg minus: no draft beer. With the quality of southwest Florida's craft beer, that's is a big hole in the menu for this type of restaurant.
Good food, good service. A little tight in terms of space, so I got to hear about the hot girls who the two guys next to me were dm'ing through Instagram, and how siracha was the coolest hot sauce they knew. But the live musician helped to drown out the blabber fueled by the latter end of bottomless mimosas from my seat mates.
I introduced a friend to Ciccio Water, as she lives on her sailboat seasonally from Arizona. She is a great cook most of Soutwestern cuisine. She really enjoyed her lunch, the atmosphere and service. We have made reservations to return for a double date for Valentine's Day.
Had a reservation and they were ready for us even though we were 20 minutes early and the place was packed since it was Gasperilla weekend! Service was unbelievably amazing!! Friendly, fast, perceptive. Food was mediocre but I'd go back cause it's a cool place.
Hit Ciccio's for Sunday brunch. Enjoyed everything about the experience. Food was amazing and unique. I had the american benedict (eggs, burger, bacon, hollandaise sauce, homefries) and my girlfriend had a bowl with spaghetti squash, chicken, and other yummy stuff. We both loved the food and also enjoyed a spicy tuna roll appetizer. We went with bloody marys and those were great as well. We'll be back to try the many other interesting things on the menu as well as the bottomless mimosas.
After we were seated, Our waiter took about 15-20 minutes to even come over and get our drink order. This took another 10 minutes at the least. They eventually comped our drinks which was nice, but we were constantly waiting for our waiter to be anywhere near us. We would often have to flag down another waiter to bring us stuff after we'd already ask our main waiter. Then at the end of the meal the restaurant was closing and they seemed annoyed that we were still there even though we were simply waiting for our checks. This was on a Monday night too. All in all, I would go there again because it's close to where I live, but the overall vibe of the restaurant and its workers is beyond pretentious.
I made a reservation online for this restaurant. Upon arriving I was told our table was outside. It was a very hot day and we asked if we could be seated inside given we had a reservation. We were told by the waitress that this was not possible and that because we made the reservation online we had second preference. We asked to speak to the manager who further reiterated that we had second preference due to making a reservation online. He also asked why we had not added a comment that we wanted to be seated indoors in the reservation. The manager made no effort to reconcile the situation. In my mind a reservation is a reservation whether made online or over the phone. The fact that there was no place where it asked for preference for seating location makes it seem crazy to me that we were automatically placed outside. I was most upset with how the situation was handled by the staff and the manager. While I have been to this restaurant before and enjoy the food I think this situation could have been handled much differently.
