Chicken Fried steak was awful - burned beyond recognition. Made reservation a week ahead and got seated right by the front door. salad and strudel appetizer was good and wife's shrimp was above average. save your money and go somewhere else. spent over $100.00 and wish we had gone to Packards. Embarrassed that we took friends here.

Great food and service. This is one of our favorite restaurants in OKC. Our only disappointment on this particular night was being seated in the bar for dinner. It was very loud and hard to hear the conversation at our table. We chose not to move so we didn't have to wait for a table to open.

Date's steak was undercooked. Returned to kitchen and came out undercooked again. She felt bad so didn't sent it back again just chose not to eat any of it. Restaurant gave us a free appetizer but value was only $12 where as steak she didn't eat cost us $40.

Our group had a fabulous time. Food was outstanding, not the usual fare. Service was quick, waiters outstanding and filled drink glasses without being obtrusive. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great experience.

I have always loved Cheever's, and for many years, it has been my favorite restaurant in Oklahoma City. Over the weekend, I took some friends/family and was disappointed. The service was lackluster and slow. The food - with the exception of the chicken fried steak which is always exceptional - was mediocre. I used to love the Juan's Queso Chihuahua and ordered some to share, but it came out barely warm and congealed. My risotto masa cakes were bland as well. I don't know if I hit on a bad day (it was Sunday for brunch around 10:30), but I won't be as quick to recommend Cheever's anymore. OKC has gotten SO many amazing restaurants in the past few years and I am sad that Cheever's doesn't seem to be keeping up!

Our server as knowledgeable and friendly. They have a gluten free menu on their website but when i asked for it, I was told that they no longer offer it to diners but that the server would help me figure out what I could eat. The server was well versed in the ingredients in the dish that appealed to me and helped in making sure I got the dish I wanted. The only negative was the amount of cold cheddar cheese that was put on top of my hot grits. There was way too much and thankfully it did not melt so I was able to scrape it off.

Based on the prices, I expected the place to have a quieter, romantic atmosphere. In fact, my date and I probably dressed up a little too much. While the atmosphere was more like an Applebee's in some ways, the food is worth the price paid and the service was great!

Food was very tasty but the waffles and eggs were not very warm. They corrected it and did not charge us for the waffles. This has happened to us several times and it's always when we go there for brunch. I can't believe we are the only customers that have this issue. We eat for lunch and dinner on occasion and the food is always great.

Cheevers is a great brunch destination. The food is always fresh and delicious. My friend and I met for brunch, and we were not disappointed. I had their special, crab over cornbread with a tasty hollandaise sauce and poached egg. There was a zucchini dish on the side which was equally yummy! I definitely recommend Cheever's as a brunch stop. Reservations are suggested as it has become an OKC brunch hotspot!
