Catch New York Ratings and Reviews
Food was great, hostesses were very accommodating. Service was sub par, our server repeatedly walked by without asking how our meal and drinks were. I had toscream out 'excuse me' serveral tubes to get his attention. Not what I expected spending $250 for meal for 2
we like the restaurant and the food, but one of the dishes we ordered never appeared at all as we kept waiting, finally we told them to cancel, they wanted us to have it as a take out but thats not what we went there for. its a mistake the waitress responsible for.
To start, we ended up waiting for a 45 minutes for a reservation. I get it, it's a hot spot. We waited patiently & were seated.
Food was amazing. Server made a couple of recs for our party of 3. Was perfect with a mix of sushi & appetizers. Great ambiance, very beautiful crowd there.
Good spot, would just make sure to get reservation. Showing up without one sounds impossible.
My sister and I were in town for the weekend and decided to check out Catch for sunday brunch. It was amazing to say the least. I had the steak and eggs and definitely wasn't disappointed. Next time I'm in town I will make sure to stop by once again.
Love location, beautifully decorated, creative menu and drinks!! Taste sensations!!! Came with future in-laws for dinner a month before our children are getting married and what a treat! I had been before and wanted to bring everyone as the first time was so outrageously good...and everyone loved it! Made me look great... thank you!!!!
Our reservation was for 9:45 and we didn't get seated until an hour later. We even arrived early. The food was subpar at best and incredibly overpriced. And the bartender had an attitude We will not be returning nor will we recomend to anyone else. There are plenty of other restaurants in Manhattan that will provide good service and food for the price that we payed
Every visit to Catch is an amazing experience. By far my favorite spot in NYC for drinks, business meal or special occasion with friends and family. The roof gets popping after 10:30pm with live DJ. Do t worry though if you're just looking to have a great meal and not dance the night away there's still plenty of room on the second and third floors. They offer a great lunch menu, an even better dinner menu and the weekend brunches are to die for. Everyone at Catch ensures they deliver top notch service focused on an amazing experience!
We were at the restaurant on the 4th floor.... it was bright and airy, not like the restaurant on the 2nd floor which is dark. The vibe isn't 'cozy', but when the weather is nice, it a great place to be, with large open windows and an outside terrace.
The servers were eager to please, and the food very good. Only ding might be that for the cost, the sashimi truffle dish is a bit thin on proportions for a nearly $30 price tag - but very tasty.
Made a reservation for 8:30pm on a Monday night for my boyfriend's birthday. Arrived at 8pm and had a drink at the bar to pass the time. Was not seated until 9:15pm, which was disappointing because we were starving by then! Our food was served soon after we ordered which was awesome, but food is pretty average, nothing special. Drinks are amazing!
I booked a reservation for 8:15p. We waited over 45 mins to be seated, ridiculous! They only worked out a table for us once I addressed the hostess and they saw my frustration. I went there with a work colleague from overseas and it was embarrassing having to wait that long. The food was good but the waiting time made it for a less pleasant experience.
