We called in advance specifying that we were celebrating a 47th Anniversary with friends from our childhood.
I was careful to remind our waiter of this as well.
The waiter did not provide a single complimentary desert to us, however he did provide a birthday desert with candles and a birthday song to 2 different tables.
That was wrong.

Carmine's was perfect for our birthday party! Our waiter was Michael and he was spectacular! He kept us entertained and made the whole evening fun for everyone. I'd eaten at Carmine's in NYC and knew what to expect. Carmine's Vegas did not disappoint!

Carmine's was a great experience. The food was authentic and great. ( I am Sicilian)
It was perfect for a large business meal, everyone was very happy. The staff was excellent and they were able to adjust to a date change and the number of guests easily. I usually plan a different restaurant in Vegas each year but I will definitely come back to Carmine's next year.

Seafood pasta was flavorless. We had the same dish at Carmine's NY and that was way more delicious. What a huge disappointment. We barely ate the pasta because that was how awful it tasted. Definitely not worth over $80.

Our waitress was awful. I think we saw her maybe 3 times. We waited well over 10 minutes, after we were seated, for her to take our drink order; another 10 minutes for her to deliver the drinks; and her final trip to our table was to take our order. We were never served bread until I walked across the place to get another waiter. I will never return to Carmine's nor will I ever recommend it. This was my first and last time in Carmine's.

We had a disappointing meal at Carmines this time. I had been there before, and we had a friendly and attentive waitperson, a decent meal and an overall positive experience. This time, the food was disturbingly substandard and our waitperson was forgetful and mostly absent.
We spend a decent amount of time in Vegas, so our expectations aren't out of line - we understand the trade-offs at some of these larger restaurants often dealing pre-show or post-show rushes, etc. In this case, however, it was a slow time of evening (5:30pm), and we were only a party of 4, and having made reservations we were at one of the front tables.
The Caesar salad, which in the past has been good, was like something out of the employee cafeteria downstairs, if not worse. The lettuce ends were all brown and slimy, the salad was completely limp and overdressed, and we received a plate with 3 small dried out anchovies. The croutons were the consistency of wet sponges.
The linguine pasta (olive oil and garlic, plus shrimp) was ok, though there were literally six small shrimp in the entire family size bowl (we counted, once we realized we'd need to negotiate our portions).
Our drinks were forgotten, the olive oil we requested for our bread was forgotten, and our waitperson was nowhere to be seen until the end of the meal, so we didn't have a chance to order drinks before our meal concluded.
All in all quite disappointing, especially considering the premium price one pays for a pretty simple meal at Carmines. We won't be back.

The shrimp diavlo was not spicy at all. Tasted like tomato Sauce with shrimp. We ordered pasta bcuz the shrimp did not come with any . The angel hair had meat sauce that was ok. We complained to waiter but he didn't do anything. We would of complained to manger but was late to show already.

Service was amazing! Chicken parm was ok. Shrimp parm was terrible. Over cooked and we did not enjoy the breading or cheese on it. Maybe that's not their speciality. If we went back we would try something totally different.

We thought that the food was outstanding, like cooking you can't find anywhere else east of New York City. We loved sharing our orders family style. Our only regret was that there were not more of us in our group. We could have brought two more friends along and satisfied them easily with what we ordered. Oh, well, that meant that there were more leftovers to take home.

Our dinner on Friday August 5 was our first dining experience at Carmines but certainly not our last! We loved it! Four of us shared two items from the appetizer menu and we loved the family style service. All the food was delicious and our server was amazing. Even before writing this review, we had already recommended Carmine's several times. We will return!

This restaurant caters to large groups and families because the portion sizes are for 3 - 4 people. Unfortunately, their website did not list prices or clearly state that all of the menu items come in family size portions. For example a side of sautéed spinach was over $20 enough for at least 6 or more people. Since it was a Sat night and we made reservations on Open Table, we stayed despite the fact that we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary by ourselves. Also they do not give out menus they are posted on the walls of the restaurant. Very inconvenient as we had to turn around completed to see the menu on the wall. I noticed at least 4 people getting up to take a photo with their smart phones because they could not see the menu either.
Our waiter explained the portion sizes to us and was polite. The food was good however we only had the veal parmigiana and the spinach because the portions were so huge.
We also saw a couple leave after we were seated because they did not know about the portion sizes either. The restaurant did call to confirm our reservation, however they should have explained to a party of 2 about the portions sizes on the phone. We would have cancelled our reservation and gone someplace else. Yes, we were disappointed that our anniversary dinner was ok at best. I would only go there with a large number of people in a group at least 6 or more.
