Carmine's - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Our first experience at a Carmine's restaurant was in New York City, and we were thrilled to learn there was one in Las Vegas!! We were just as pleased with this restaurant as we were with the one in NYC. The food is outstanding and the only thing a little surprising was the cost of a very small glass of wine. Who can have Italian food without a glass of delicious wine? I only wished I could have had a few more glasses but the cost factor prohibited it. This was our first experience using Open Table and we really appreciated the service we received with a phone call immediately upon making our reservations to confirm. Our waiter was just as outstanding as the food and we highly recommend anyone and everyone go to Carmine's while in Las Vegas.
I had tried this restaurant a few days earlier with some customers and thought it was great.
This dinner started out well attentive waiter. Initially the service was good. After the salad he came to the table announcing it was the end of his shift. The waiter that took over was inattentive and very, very slow. Frustratingly so. What started out well ended in disappointment.
Easy to reserve a table, even on Easter Sunday. Hostess was welcoming; we were seated at a booth right away. Service was attentive, our waiter was very friendly and great at recommending menu items for us to try. The food comes family style so we ordered the Carmines Salad, and the four pasta special to share. We also had a pitcher of delicious red sangria. The prices worked out to about $50 per person, including a couple of cocktails and the tip.
One family-sized portion was absurdly large and waaay too much for two people, despite the waiter's assurance to the contrary. Fortunately, it wasn't too good, so the waste was somewhat less hurtful. The clams tasted funny. Had to get out of our chairs and 'hover' near another table to read the sole menu on the wall. Plus, given the portion size, neither got what we wanted, having to order a compromise meal.
Great food just be aware that they serve family-style. Meals are intended to be shared by 3-4 people so you should plan on sharing 1-2 dishes or having a lot of leftovers. Service is excellent and attentive. Decent variety on gluten-free menu too--more than just pasta substitute.
Portions were huge. One serving of rigatoni with Ragu sauce could have easily served six people. Definitely a family style place. For two of us we took home what we didn't eat, had dinner the next night, and then had to toss the rest because we were traveling. Delicious food
Food was good, but for the price you would think they could at least give you a menu. I found it really odd that the menu was listed on the wall and we couldn't see it from our table so we had to get up to look at it. A waitress then told us that most people take a pic of the menu so they can view it easier, so basically, sit back down you are in the way.
My family had a wonderful meal at Carmine's! From the scrumptious appetizer, to the superb pasta bolognase & the best shrimp scampi ever... to the Titanic dessert! Wow! Our server Kyle was one of the best we've ever had!! I'm thankful to Yvette for recommending Carmine's! We will definitely visit again when in town.
This was dinner for my wife and I during our long weekend in Las Vegas. Hostess was friendly and we were seated promptly. Our server, Michael, was cordial, patient, and very attentive. He would not let our glasses get less than half full. Michael's food recommendation was very good! We felt comfortable and did not feel rushed. Restaurant is a little pricey but fair considering the size of the portions and being located in the Forum shops at Caesar's Palace.
Our Waiter was absolutely amazing, he was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. He answered all our questions and served us a fabulous meal. We had been there before but
our friends had not, they loved it. We will absolutely be back as soon as we come back to Vegas.
Our meal was great with phenomenal flavors and the perfect cappuccinoes to end the dinner.
The staff were exceptional, friendly and personable. Knew the menu items inside and out. Our waiters recommendation was spot on.
Service was flawless, our glasses were never empty and the staff were instantly available while remaining seemingly invisible.
Food was superb! Family style Northern Italian, skillfully crafted from high quality ingredients in massive servings.
Bring your whole crew and make sure they are hungry!
The food was very good this time; the Portobello Mushroom salad was really good and we got the 4 pasta sampler (Sunday Special) along with the "Tug Boat" for dessert. Everyone liked the meal and only three dishes were PLENTY for 5 people with leftovers taken home. Michael, our waiter, was great. He sang "Happy Birthday" to one of our guests, took pictures and even made a quick sketch of one of us! It was a fun evening.
If you have two in your party, this is not the place for you. Not only are the family style portions large, they are very very expensive. A salad was $31 when a plate of pasta with meat sauce was $32. This would be great if you had a lot of people but with two, it doesn't work!
Terrible. Waited 15 minutes. No one ever came to the table not even to drop off waters, although many employees walked by our table. They refused to make eye contact. We walked out. We were seated in an area where we couldn't see the menus on the walls. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant . We had much better service from Cheescake Factory and Joe's Seafood. Bottom line, don't waste your time.
This is not a great choice of a restaurant if you have 1 person with special dietary needs. Although the menu has some great items that are gluten free, dairy free, etc, those dishes still have to be ordered in family style portions. When you just have 1 guest that would be eating that meal it makes it difficult. Our waiter was not attentive to us and when numerous items on the gluten free menu were unavailable, he wasn't able to offer other alternatives. He eventually called upon the manager who was able to attend to the needs of our gluten free friend so we were very happy about that. The noise level is very, very loud and makes table conversation difficult. Our food was very good and we enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't go back with all the other choices in Vegas.
