I don't usually leave reviews but the service at Carmine's was about the best I've had in a long time. The food was so delicious the ambiance was great cozy and friendly and welcome change from the hectic city vibes.
My sister and I brought our Mom here for her birthday dinner. It was the best Italian food! I couldn’t stop eating. Highly recommend you go to Carmine’s!
The service was fantastic, we used to go to Carmine’s in the theater district when we would travel to NYC, it was a welcome blast from the past. You need to respect the portion sizes, but had a great time. Try their spin on a Manhattan.
Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Staff was very attentive. There was an error on our bill and when I brought it to waitress attention she was very apologetic and gave us additional discount.
Great restaurant and delicious plates
Many thanks to Logan - staff member
Visited for the second time recently and it was just as amazing as I remembered. Food portions are large, so this is a great place for big groups.
We had a group of 15. Server was very helpful on recommendation on what to order of the oversized portions.
I have eaten at Carmine's in New York, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas on multiple occasions and for special occasions. Each experience has been something that we have looked forward to. Unfortunately, our last experience in Las Vegas fell short of meeting our expectations. For the first time, we felt rushed to the extent that the server removed the food platters while I was still eating! Our salad arrived in advance of our appetizer which was delivered shortly thereafter. We no sooner began both of those courses when our entree arrived which the server placed off to the side then impatiently put it on the table. The result was cold spaghetti! This was a less than enjoyable experience, and we will reconsider our options the next time we are in Las Vegas.
Excellent service and great food. I would highly recommend to family and friends. I go for dinner here each time I am in Vegas.
Walk on by if you are just a couple! They have seating in the bar for people who want reasonable portions, however it is limited. The big draw for this restaurant are large portions served family style. Each plate costs approximately $32, thus if you have a party of six it all makes sense. The food is average you might get at any corner restaurant in the USA. My wife and I had a great table, ordered wine and the bread was brought and we just wanted to linger and talk. They kept pressing us to order, which I gave in and did and regretted it. They brought the salad immediately even though I asked the waiter not to, and then ten minutes later they brought a huge plate of pasta. I should have sent it back, and they did volunteer to put it under the heat lamp, but the game here is to get people in and pile and rush the food on them and then clear the table for the next "guest" or should I say victim. If you are a couple you can and should do better elsewhere.
P.S. the problem here wasn't the waiter but rather management.
Our waiter was great and we come all the time its our favorite restaurant the bedt Italian food
We visited Carmine's on Mother's Day to treat my Mother In Law to a nice late lunch at one of her favorite Italian restaurants. She's from the NYC area but recently relocated to Las Vegas. She's dined at the original Carmine's in NYC probably 100's of times over the years.
We were greeted and seated promptly. The server, Antonel came over and asked if we would like to get drinks started, we felt a little rushed but brushed it off. We ended up ordering a bottle of wine and water for the table. We placed our order, starting with the fried zucchini as our appetizer. We also ordered a chicken parmigiana, veal parmigiana and a penne with bolognese. Their portion are huge and served family style, which we knew before ordering. We were looking forward to leftovers. After 15 or so minutes our entrees came out. Antonel, our server came back and told us they were out or zucchini today. When we asked her why she didn't tell us before firing the entrees she said she forgot. Her entire attitude changed, like we were a bother. We wanted an appetizer and specifically asked her if the entrees went back would the kitchen remake them or were they just going to sit back there. She said oh no, they'll remake them. Fast forward to when the entrees came back out and sure enough the kitchen piled a ton of cheese on the chicken and veal, threw them under the salamander and sent them back out, DISGUSTING! When we asked to speak with the manager he tried to cover saying it was against health code blah blah blah but there was no way to get around what they did, literally a pound of melted/old cheese. They re-fired our entrees and they came out as they should have the first time. It's not a cheap place to eat and some people I'm sure save for long periods of time to be able to afford those prices. When you choose to dine in a restaurant like this you except great service!
We're locals and won't go back and won't recommend to our out of town friends!
Great food and service! Loved it!
It is our first time eating at Carmines. The eggplant parmesan was delicious. Unique for me as it was baked in layers like lasagne. Our shrimp dish was very good. The service was very good and our waiter was very knowledgeable with entrees and how you select your dishes. The ambiance was very nice and would recommend the restaurant and will certainly go back.
Celebrated my 40th birthday there. The staff was amazing so was the food. I even got a speacial birthday gift . I can highly recommand the restaurant. We will be back for sure. Thanks for everything
Outstanding food served family style. Perfect venue for our family reunion of 10 people. Portions are large so be sure to ask waiter how many they serve. Waiter guided us through ordering process very nicely.
Had artichokes hard not cooked well enough. Veal marsala tasted like brown gravy
The food was excellent. However, the portion sizes were massive. I would recommend for 3 or more people. Should offer the 1/2 size portions at all tables.
It’s ok. It’s similar to a Bucca de Bepo, if you have ever been. Family style Italian. Meaning....extra large plates and you all have to decide on the menu. It isn’t a place to go to each choose your own meal. Portions are HUGE HUGE HUGE. More recommended for large parties of 4 or more. We had three of us and a lot of food was not eaten and therefore thrown out. Big waste. Food was average. Service amazing. Atmosphere cozy. Kid friendly.
After the Elton John show, my sister and I stopped in for a late night bite to eat. We sat at the pub tables beside the bar and it wasn’t loud or overtly crowded, perfect atmosphere.
We had the calamari for appetizer and the penne alla vodka (family style) for dinner. Both were phenomenal.
We found that eating out was one of the most expensive parts of visiting Las Vegas; however, this was the most reasonably priced restaurant for the amount of food that we got. I would definitely recommend! Delicious!
Great evening. Bill out server was excellent. Thank you all!
If you are looking for a great meal and great service then you have come to the right place. Just like grandma's cooking and a wonderful atmosphere. Carmine's is a must to get your Italian fix...
Staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was great comfort wholesome food and very generous servings!
Wonderful! Jenny was fantastic, meal was excellent. And the local’s discount doesn’t hurt!
Huge portions of mediocre food. Probably would not return.
Always a great place to bring the family. Solid Italian food. Gigantic family style portions. Same in Vegas as in our hometown NYC.
Excellent Food, Excellent Service. We enjoyed a nice dinner with family and friends.
The waitress recommended too much food for a group of 12 women. She said the lasagna fed 4 and it fed at least 8. The we ordered 2 chicken dishes and linguini with garlic and 2 salads. We had a lot of food leftover and could not take it with us. The food was delicious and we were hungry. It was just way too much.
The place works perfect for large party get together. We were 20 people and easily handled with care and solid service.
Love Carmine’s ate at the New York one 19 years ago and the Vegas one was just as I remembered. I’m from Australia so just a few years between visits. Delicious Italian cuisine. One of my favorites.
Love this place. It’s a must visit in Vegas.
My girlfriend and I had dinner here before a show. Virtually everything they serve is a large, family style portion, so it's not a place you can go as a couple with normal appetites. We usually share plates, an appetizer, a salad and one main course. That would be vastly too much food (and $$) at Carmines. So we ordered the eggplant parmeson a la carte. It was delicious, perfectly baked, exceptionally good cheese, just great. It also was the size of a large meat loaf, so we ate as much as we could, about 2/3, and said goodye to the rest, no way to take it with us. Great place, but you need about six people minimum to really enjoy it, otherwise bring a wheelbarrow for the doggie boxes.
The menu is family style so the portions are huge. Do not let this stop you. The food is delicious. Share or take home leftovers but, by all means, go! If we lived in Vegas I could easily see us dining at Carmine's once a week.
Be sure to come hungry and don't over order. We did it just right, ordering salad, a pasta entree, and a meat for 4 people. We had room for a huge dessert to share. We did not leave hungry, nor did we leave anything behind. Quality tasty ingredients, and great service. The experience is probably optimized for groups of more than 2. More people, more options.
The service is incredible and the food is fantastic!
I came to Carmine's with my Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor for my bachelorette weekend celebration on April 21st. It was perfect. Although we had a rough start deciding on what we wanted to eat. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us decide. We had a delicious white sangria and stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. We at the absolutely delicious chicken parm with wonderful cheesiness. We chose angel hair pasta with marinara sauce. The sauce was impeccable. Overall we loved the meal and wished we weren't too full to eat more. It was an amazing dinner.
Amazing service! We visited Carmine's on a recommendation from a family member who lives in Las Vegas. The food was hot, delicious and flavorful. Cannot say enough about the absolutely wonderful evening we had celebrating my mother's 87th birthday.
The food was fantastic and the service was above and beyond our expectations. We came in with a volleyball team and our waiter advised us perfectly on how much food to order.
