As always the food, ambiance and service was super. I was very disappointed that you don't offer muscles on the weekend for lunch. It was my daughters birthday and she chose Cappy's because she craved muscles. I assured her yours were the best! It kind of put a damper on her special celebration.

This was a great experience! Good drinks, great salad, and the bread was unreal! We each got an entree we had never tried before - they were great and the server was knowledgeable about the menu. The best part was the bus boy was the true definition of customer service! He was attentive and polite and never let a drink get low or a dirty plate sit. Such a wonderful thing to see a young man truly put his heart into his job!!

We had a very nice anniversary dinner and our waiter was great. I had the filet and the cut of meat was excellent and cooked perfectly. My husband loved his prime rib. His portion was generous with a large piece of steak, veggies, and heaping mashed potatoes. For the price of mine, I think more veggies would have been appropriate. The only other suggestion: the half bottle of wine was really only a glass for each of us. It would have been cheaper for us each just to order a glass. The noise level was okay, but there was an older couple we could hear loudly talking about politics (which we didn't agree with). Overall it was a nice experience and our first time at Cappy's. (been to Cappycinos several times)

This was our first experience at Cappy's and we were not disappointed. The menu is limited but there is enough variety to tease the best palate. We had the crab cake appetizer and the roasted oysters... Both were excellent tasty choices. For the entrees, the choices are excellent. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and excellent for presentation and taste. The catch of the day was simply outstanding. Good wine list with choices for all tastes. Good desert menu and interesting specialty after dinner drinks. The service was prompt, courteous and top class. Overall, it was a great experience and we feel invited to dine with them again!

Excellent Lunch at Cappy's today. I had the Fried Gulf Shrimp which was cooked perfectly, rice was well seasoned and the sauce was to die for. My wife had the bowl of Gumbo and she couldn't put her spoon down. The appearance of the gumbo is dark and mysterious giving you the feeling it may have too many flavors, but upon eating it you realize that the flavors are well balanced and there is enough protein to compliment every bite from the chicken to the blackened drum fish. We finished off with a very decadent Raspberry Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée. The fresh raspberries were just the right touch in cutting the sweetness level and really being able to appreciate the vanilla custard underneath the crunchy sugar topping. We will definitely be back again.

Service and food was outstanding. Serving size was just right and priced the same. The staff was attentive without being annoying. It was full the night we went but it was not noisy. Definitely would recommend and we will be going back.

We hadn't been to Cappy's in years, I was looking at places for brunch and when I got to Cappy's menu I remembered how good it was. After reading some reviews I felt like my memory had served me well. Everything about the evening was great. The service was spot-on and the food was great, We had the scallops with foie gras. The patio seating was very inviting as was our table in the porch area. We didn't check out the upstairs this trip but it was always very nicely done.
Our server cheri (probably spelled wrong) was quite helpful and attentive.

I love going to Cappy's, but really only go when I have a $10-$15 off coupon. It's kind of pricey...$17.00 for a hamburger is a little excessive, no matter how good it is. I've never gone there without a coupon, because I cannot justify the prices, although I thoroughly enjoy the experience and the food is always above and beyond excellent! (As a single teacher, I have to watch my budget closely, and so appreciate the coupons sent out to schools in appreciation of teachers! Thank you Cappy Lawton and family!)

It's been years since I dined at Cappys and it was as great as I remembered. We were a party of 3 and each had a different menu choice: prime rib, lamp chops and beef tenderloin. Food was great, and we all enjoyed it and we're very pleased. Service was exceptional, the server took his time to explain the menu items and took good care to make himself available without hanging around and being intrusive. We ate in the early pm and felt that we picked the best time as the restaurant was quiet and cozy. This would be a great choice for Saturday date night or a birthday celebration. We will definitely be making a return visit.

An exceptional dinner and superb service from our server - Shere, who made the entire evening very memorable. Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and attentive. This dinner was a special occasion, and the food was excellent as always. We will continue the tradition of Cappy's for special occasions... and even some that aren't. Kudos to Shere. And thank you for the desert!

First time ever for a less-than-stellar review. For some reason, our drinks took a very long time to arrive, and the restaurant had not yet begun to fill. My martini was both sparse in amount and "watered-down" tasting. My friend, who ordered a Manhattan, requested a replacement. Hers didn't taste good. The waiter, Daniel, did a good job of checking on us, despite having to assist at what seemed to be a lot of other tables as well. The food was, as usual, quite good.
"Something" was not quite right, though. Suggest that you revisit the Field Greens Salad (formerly the House Salad). Skimpy amount, dressing negligible. Of course, we'll be back. Just hope that our dinner on 9/7 was an anomaly.

The food was very good.
The staff who served at the table were very attentive.
The welcome, however was a little frosty. We let the hostess know we had booked and she checked for our names. As we were waiting to be seated another lady came by and pretty much ordered us to sit down in the 'waiting area.' She was rude and abrupt.
I had booked a table on the deck and was disappointed to be seated on plastic garden furniture.

Although the food is very good, the servers appear to prefer guests who are regulars and seem to provide more attentive service to those who frequent the rest. It is hard to imagine how frequently one would need to eat there in order to gain acceptance.
