Canyon Creek - Front Street Ratings and Reviews
Extremely slow dinner service. Waiter was inexperienced, but was trying hard. This was a game night, for nearby ACC venue. Place was full of fans. We advised waiter we had one hour. Our dinner arrived after 75 minutes. We rushed through eating an OK taste. Nb don't order fish at a steakhouse and expect their most delicious dish!
Manager? Came over after we started wolfing down our dinners and comped the food, not drinks. A reasonable offer.
The hostess was extremely pleasant, but Terrible service! I listed that we were there for my birthday. Heard singing throughout the restaurant twice, but no one never acknowledged mine. Waitress disappeared for extended periods of time and the food was subpar. First trip to Toronto, and I wouldn't go back!
We made reservations for 7 and were greeted and seated right away! Our waiter was very attentive and fabulous! Our meals were made and eaten within the hour. We were so full that we had to ask for takeout for the dessert that came with our fix prix meal but our waiter was so thoughtful he put both into separate boxes with individual sauces, napkins, and cutlery! We were very impressed with the quick , friendly service and the food was fantastic ! My two teenage sons were very pleased with the food and service as well. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone going to a Jays game or staying in the Toronto area.
Service was outstanding, my friend was running late and they brought me his message as he had called the restaurant. Wine was good, the food was very tasty and served hot. I have always been impressed with this spot which is why I am there 2 or 3 times a month. Keep up the good work!
Our service was very friendly. We stopped by after a long day of sightseeing with our two kids, 10 and 12.
The food was good, and the restaurant offered to turn our fries into poutine at the request of the kids. We wish they would have told us the upcharge for doing this...it was rather significant.
We ordered the Prix Fare, which was a pretty good value.
Would have preferred to have the berries served on the side of the creme brulee rather than inside of it.
Good service and food was also very good. Reasonably priced for the location. The beer and wine selection was also decent, although pricey. The cocktails however were not very good (unseasoned caesar, this other lemon drink that didn't have much flavour etc).
Only complaint would be that we were seated beside a large group of about 15 so therefore not very nice for 2 people dining alone. They were not loud but definitely more noisy than we would have liked. There seemed to be lots of open tables in other areas. Service was litttle slow as well because waiter had to look after this large group. Food was good though.
I'm sorry to report that they only offered root vegetables, no green vegetables the night we dined--great if you are on a paleo diet, but I'm on a low carbohydrate plan--no bread, not starches such as root veggies. Oh well. My steak was overcooked and in my opinion was not very good quality for for the price. I ordered a 10 oz steak and it looked like a typical 6 oz cut. The kitchen was extremely slow and the dining room was extremely loud. We were served our meal an hour after ordering because a large party of 60 had placed an order just before mine. The wait staff and manager tried to be accommodating and offered to replace my meal. I did not want to have another meal prepared because I had waited so long as it was and was very hungry by 9 pm. The manager compensated by discounting the check, which was a kind gesture.
We were there for an event weekend at the Convention Centre so it was pretty busy and bustling. The service was very good and so was the food. Both of our steaks were slightly overcooked but we didn't say anything since the flavour was really good anyway. We chose this restaurant because we were staying at the Intercontinental and were out shopping all day so we wanted to have a nice meal that was close by.
Went for a Birthday with a bunch of friends and had a wonderful evening. They gave us a private room for our guests, it was very quaint and intimate. The food was good and the service was perfect. Our waitress was attentive but not annoying, it made the experience very enjoyable. Its in a beautiful location, and the restaurant itself is very well maintained. There was plenty of parking lots around the restaurant so finding parking was a breeze. Overall a very good restaurant, Bravo Canyon Creek!
