Campagnia Ratings and Reviews
Brunch is great had a good time and food was fabulous but service was not the greatest we had to keep tracking our waitress down and they sat us right in front of the jazz singer. The music was nice but we were there for a girls gossip sesh and had to talk so loud, would of appreciated being asked first if we were ok to sit there.
Never been to the much heralded brunch on Sundays, so 10 of us (plus a baby) reserved way in advance. It was close to 100° that morning, and while there was a perfectly made table for 10 inside the main restaurant, the hostess sat us in the patio. We asked about the inside table and they said it was reserved.
The fans in the covered patio overhead was inefficient, the drizzle made one side of our table wet, and the live music was a little loud.
The buffet had variety and many staple items were tasty (eggs, bacon, sausage, omelette, fruits, desserts, etc).
Service was prompt.
After spending 90 minutes there, we left and noticed that the table inside the restaurant was STILL empty. Nice.
The encounter with our waiter this evening was unfortunate. He came off aggressive. Did not enjoy his presence or lack thereof, hence the automatic gratuity, I mean, why bother right?. Believe his name was Juan, Luis, Carlos? He wears glasses. Didn't seem friendly at all, overall just rude or at least his tone and attitude was. . Maybe he had a long day? Maybe because we checked in on yelp and asked if we can receive 2 check in offers as we had a table of 8. Keep in mine, we've had service here before where our waiter/ess was able to honor 2 yelp check ins for a table of over 8 people.
This encounter was unfortunate, will not want to be served by him again.
The food was fabulous! My party ordered everything from the filet to rack of lamb to seafood and it was all fabulous! Afterwards I enjoyed the best crem brulee that I have ever tasted. My server was the best. I will return when it's not 110 degrees outside and try and enjoy the atrium seating someday.
Very impressive! The steak was the best I have ever had. The service was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful. It was a little slower than I expected but I didn't mind because everything else made it so worth it! Can't wait to go back on a cooler day and sit in the atrium!
I do not recommend this restaurant. I came here on a business dinner and was disappointed with the food. The service was fine, the restaurant looks nice but the food is not very good. I had dry chicken, mushy pasta and a boring Caesar salad. The meal was inexpensive (about $50 with a glass of wine, no dessert), but I would not come back here again. There are many other glowing reviews of this restaurant (along with many poor reviews) so my only conclusion is that this place is hit or miss - the menu items are not consistently good.
Sadly, this was one of our "go-to" places, and we were regulars. Unfortunately, on this visit we were totally ignored. We waited at our table for a server for about 20 minutes, then asked another server if someone was coming and he said he'd let someone know. Never happened. After 30 minutes of nothing, we left. Out table was right in front of the door to the patio, so we weren't exactly hidden. I caught the eye of several different servers, but none ever offered anything, like "be right with you". Inexcusable for this level of dining. Ended up at a nearby Indian restaurant.
Just had another excellent meal at Campagnia. Their salads are amazing (I always love the pear/poppyseed dressing one with the sugared pecans). This visit, I found their halibut on asparagus risotto with ginger on top (I asked for extra ginger because I like it so much!) to be an incredible dish. We'll be back for sure. I've never had a bad meal at Campagnia. Delicious, delicious food.
