Came here to celebrate my partner's birthday. Always a deliciously tasty time. Service was excellent! P.s. dine during the holiday season, their Halloween and Christmas decorations are above and beyond expectations. 💟

I have been going to Cafe Trio for years, it is my favorite restaurant of anywhere I have ever lived. Although I now live in Dallas I am still treated like family each and every time I dine there!!! Perfect experience start to finish!!!

When we went, we found it a cozy spot just off the Plaza, decorated for Halloween. The food was quite good, and the friendly service was prompt and attentive. The live piano was a delightful touch that helped make for an enjoyable evening.

Family in from out of town. They like to dine outdoors. The weather looked perfect so i reserved a table and asked for the deck. We had a lovely table with perfect weather. They loved the food and the wine. We started with the Tuscan flatbread. One of them had the Macdaddy and the other had the pork chop and i had the halibut. Everything was delicious. We drank some wine, got caught up and had a wonderful experience. The service was great. We never felt hurried, but didn't feel neglected either. You made a great impression with them and i was glad i brought them here. Thanks.

For a very long time Trio's has been one of my favorite restaurants in KC. Chris & Tai know how to take good care of their customers to keep them coming back. Food & service always good - feels like home to me. Obviously I am a big fan. I'll be back soon.

We haven't been to Cafe Trio in a while but when a friend arrived from out of town we knew we had to take them to Cafe Trio. There were many new menu items and Richard suggested the Pork Shoulder, and it was AMAZING!! You must also try the Lemon Icebox Cake. As always Richard knows what you want before you ask. Love the atmosphere at Cafe Trio and Richard is the best waiter in KC!

There is not a better outdoor dining space than Cafe Trio. The food is dependably good, the service is always attentaive, but the sometimes the kitchen is a little slow. However, it allows for a little extra time for a second drink from a well stocked bar.
Reliable, local, and friendly. You won't be disappointed in Cafe Trio.

The food and service was good, the entertainment and especially the piano player were fantastic! The piano man plays at Village Shalom and he is great gentleman! Then as a surprise a gentleman stood up and sang! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We went to Cafe Trio for an anniversary dinner and selected it from the positive reviews on Yelp. The service was just ok and it was obvious that the waiter was very new and didn't know the menu well. Another couple sat down next to us and it was a bit awkward because we could hear each other's conversations.
We shared the hummus which was very tasty. I got the Mac Daddy and was pleased with it and my boyfriend got the stuffed pork chop and cleaned his plate. I would probably try a different restaurant before going back.

I have been to Cafe Trio quite a few times and it never fails to deliver. We tried the Mussels appetizer for the first time a while and it was as tasty as ever. Make sure to get more bread to soak up the amazing broth. I tried the roast chicken entree for the first time and it was done perfectly and the pickled mushrooms were a very interesting addition. They have a small wine list but you can find some decent ones on it. We tried the Lenore Syrah from Washington for $36 a bottle and it was delicious and after opening up for a but got even better. We'll be back!

I was in Kansas City on a trip and was looking for a restaurant near my hotel and saw this on a website. Looked good so I made a reservation and went there. They had a very good menu. I had the pork chop and the spinach salad. Both were very good and reasonably priced. The waitress was very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back if I get back to KC.

Usually I'm impressed with Café Trio. This time not so much. The stuffed pork chop my GF got was rare and needed to be re-fired. Not only that, it was probably 50% fat and a bad cut. We mentioned this to our waiter and showed him. They simply cooked it some more vs replacing. We ordered a $100 bottle of wine and wasn't offered to decant and was asked jokingly if I even wanted to taste it before it was poured! I thought they might remove the $12 appetizer from the bill but we were fully charged. I expect more from this place. I'll likely return at some point but I'm in no rush after this experience.

We specifically came to Cafe Trio to use $25 off of $75 or more voucher I had signed up for on FB. I was extremely disappointed to be told we couldn't use it because we purchased a few Happy Hour items. The voucher I received had no terms and conditions on it. After much research I found it was only included on your website and it only said it couldn't be combined with other discounts. I never assumed HH prices would be included in that very broad and vague description. #FeltLikeBaitAndSwitch. :(

Our evening with friends was marred by something out of your control, we think.
There was a group of customers that were just plain unruly. Noisy and doing shots and being a distraction to a normally special night at an exquisite restaurant.
The wait staff expressed over and over again about how sorry they were for the disrespectful customers. We were told they were regulars which told me that they should have felt comfortable enough to ask them politely to respect the desires of other customers.
But our waitress did as good of a job as she could and we will be back.
The food was great as usual.
We did go elsewhere for an after-dinner bottle of wine.

The waitress seemed irritated that we -- a twosome -- asked to be moved from a high-top table on the outside deck. She took us to the south part of the deck in the corners "in the trees." It was a terrific table, but the waitress was afterward seemingly aloof and disinterested.

My husband and I were very disappointed in our meal. My husband ordered a steak and it was so bad that he couldn't eat it. My meal was ok but not worth what I paid for it. Our total bill was very expensive which would have been fine if the food was outstanding. It's too bad because the patio setting really is nice. We won't be back.
