Ca Bianca Ratings and Reviews
A major thank you to a restaurant that delivers time and again, for probably over 20 visits already. Ca Bianca is such a treasure. We go there for weekday dinners as well as special occasions. Just the other night we took the couple who generously let us use their Russian River vacation home while we were evacuated for a week during the fires. They LOVED Ca Bianca and so appreciated us returning hospitality to them. We recommend every appetizer and salad and all main courses!! And we love their desserts as well. And their cocktails and wine offerings. The staff is always professional and paces the meal well. The owner is typically there and he's a wonderful man, committed to keeping the food, ambiance, staff and overall experience at top level. We love Ca Bianca and can't recommend it highly enough!!
my son who was visiting from Florida wanted to take me to dinner at a really good restaurant, one that wasn't noisy. I chose your restaurant as I had been there for lunch once. I could see it was the perfect place. The food was wonderful. Service perfect. It is a place to dine.
We have been coming to this restaurant for sometime however, recently the food and service have declined. We held out hope after our last meal that this was a fluke but upon returning this last time we were very disappointed with our condescending waiter and the temperature and quality of the entrees.
We really liked this place but will probably never return. Too bad as it used to be great!
We had a lovely early afternoon lunch and the Victorian House was decorated for Christmas. The ambiance was delightful and the Italian food was all delicious! Nice size portions for salads. Appetizers and entres. Highly recommend you visit. The wine list had nice selections in all price ranges.
Ultimately, the question one asks after dining anywhere is will I return? In this case I would say definitely. Why? First, the staff is excellent, professional, kind, and most importantly knowledgeable. Second, is the quality and presentation of the food is beautiful and simply perfect.
Except for one item we ordered which was the eggplant Parmesan, which was mushy and not all that tasty, I would give the other items including the prawns in brandy sauce over black rice and wine 4 to 5stars.
The manager, Marco, was most gracious, and the environment is perfect for a date, Or a business dinner or special occasion. The noise level was very moderate and the understated yet beautiful surroundings made for a special evening.
So I would recommend this restaurant and hope to return someday soon to enjoy again.
We loved Ca Bianca and it might have been our favorite meal on our entire Napa/Sonoma 4 day trip. The staff is super friendly and approachable. Made us feel like a guest in there home. Food was fresh, seasoned well and prepared perfectly. We love the atmosphere and that dining takes place in different rooms of the old house. First rate experience across the board. My wife keeps saying "I would eat at Ca Bianca ever day if I could".
This place used to be an old mansion. The owners did a great job of converting it to a restaurant. The food was excellent and very fresh. Our server, Katie, was Miss Personality. She knew her food, but was a little shaky on the wine list. However, she did ask for assistance when the wine I ordered was out of stock. The replacement was excellent and the same price. Definitel a place to retrun to.
Fun to dine in an old mansion, built 1867, I think. A beautiful property suitable for large groups. I could imagine weddings being held here. Our waiter was on point. The food was okay. My halibut was a pinch over cooked as was my husband's shrimp, but both were in the range of acceptable. Our daughter had spaghetti bolognese and she thought it tasted a bit too much of tomato paste. She took almost all of it to-go to be polite, but I noticed when we got home much later in the evening she pulled it out to 'snack on' and managed to eat all of it. Must have been okay after all! Nevertheless, she normally devours any pasta she's served the moment it's served, so make what you will of that. My husband said he wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. I mentioned his parents would absolutely love this place, and he totally agreed. The outside porch dining looks incredibly inviting, so it's possible we'll eventually return to dine on the porch with elderly parents in tow. The menu options are well thought out, something for everyone. Maybe on another go around we'd choose something that would suit us better.
We went with visitors from another state on a Friday night. It looked as though the restaurant was full and extremely noisy. I had asked in the beginning to sit out on their porch, so we were on the porch. They have no heaters, but offered us some blankets. It was a very cold night for September in California and our visitors were from Phoenix, Arizona so we were all cold. However, after a bit of wine and good food, we forgot about the temperature and had a good time! On a warm summer's evening, the porch would be a wonderful choice.
Some friends of mine took me there for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I had been wanting to try the food there for a long time. Anyway, the beef tenderloin was absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed the whole experience! I was treated to a dish of Pannacotta, which I had never had before, but which I look forward to having again.
Recently, I went took another friend to have lunch. Again, excellent meal and she loved her 'Rack of Lamb," as I enjoyed the Prawns with black rice. It will now be a favorite of mine to take both friends and family. I loved the decor; the ambiance; the staff was pleasant and excellent food, which is really important.
I am an excellent cook, so it can be hard to make my taste-buds happy, but there were.
I plan to take my sister there for her birthday!
