We had wonderful food and our server was excellent!!
I've eaten at Bru on several occasions now. Food is relatively consistent, though this trip my hot wings were a little on the dry side. Sauce was delicious as always.
My date had the lobster mac n' cheese. He loved it, but I find the sauce to be awfully runny. It was my first time trying the margarita flatbread which was very lackluster. I also had a petite filet for the first time. I would not order steak from here again. It was stringy and not cooked to temperature all the way through. I ordered medium rare and it was rare in the center. I ate around the rawness. Mashed potatoes and brocollini were good though.
While items I ordered this visit were hit or miss, my usual favorites are: the hot wings, the arugula and fit flatbread, the burger and the meatloaf.
Service was great! Cocktails, beer and wine are usually top-notch too.
THIS PLACE ROCKS! SO BUSY FOR SPECIAL "PI DAY" SO MUCH FUN!!!!! KILLER PIES!!!!!!
Service and ambiance were great. Food was good for the price but falls short of great flavors at higher end restaurants in the area. Could stand to use better ingredients and better kitchen staff to bring what is a strong menu to a higher level to better compete in this South OC market.
We had a great time at brunch! 5 of us had bottomless mimosas and 1 chose to have a few beers from their list. We all enjoyed our entrees, except the two in our party who ordered the biscuits and gravy. They said they were below average, with very little flavor. However, the service was great, we all enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely be back!
We were at Bru this weekend for restaurant week. The menu & food did not disappoint! We had filet mignon topped with grilled shrimp & it was excellent. The creme brûlée was awesome. Cool vibe, delicious food and excellent service! We’ll be back soon.
I'm a regular at Bru. It's a favorite spot as the food and service and always excellent
Fantastic brunch during OC Restaurant Week. Great ambiance. Fun place to do Sunday brunch.
This restaurant had such inviting appetizers, dinner salads and a great wine selection that we never got around to the main course. So, we came back the next night and enjoyed several different Pris Fixe menu's. Everyone went away satisfied with the quality and value. We will definitely visit again when we are in town.
We had Pork chop which was made to perfection, juicy, full of flavor! Also the Salmon, always great. Very moist and flavorful.
Friends had spoken highly of Bru Grill so I recently took a friend from San Diego there for dinner and we had such a great experience that I then took an out-of-state relative there for dinner. The food and service were both wonderful. On my first visit, the manager was very attentive and friendly. On my second visit, the owner stopped by to introduce himself, chatted with us and continued to enhance our experience throughout the evening. We also noticed he was very active checking orders for accuracy before they were delivered and saw him stop and chat with a number of other patrons. It couldn't have been a nicer experience both times. I will be back soon as we have a girls' happy hour planned after work. Thank you Bru Grill for giving my guests a memorable experience!
Great food, excellent service and overall great experience. So many restaurants are loud these days, and this was a refreshing experience as the noise level was extremely low. Great for being able to conduct business or carry a casual conversation. The pork tacos were the best I have ever had!
Good service first visit. Second visit service not that great. Food is mediocre.
A huge let down as always. The only reason I went was for ny daughter who wanted to try the brunch. She said the food was good but it would have even nice if the waiter didn’t forget 1/2 of it. You dude never fail to find a way to suck. McDonalds gets it right more than you do. Think about that.
It never fails for a delightful and tasty lunch! The menu is always interesting. You can find great salads and add a protein which is what I did. I ordered the Beet Salad with Salmon. It was amazing! My guests ordered salads as well and they each looked fresh and individually made with care. I highly recommend this place as my clients and friends love it too!
Perfect midpoint meeting place between San Diego and Pasadena for a lunch meeting. Easy access near freeway easy to find.
This is a great place to hang with friends and drink. Brunch was spectacular. Staff was kind and helpful with selections. I would certainly go back here.
This was our first visit and we loved every minute of our experience. The ambiance, the service and the food was fantastic. The presentation of the food was beautiful. I recommend making a reservation. We did on line and it worked out perfectly. We can’t wait to come back‼️
Our group lunch was perfect. We were in an area away from most of the other guests. Our waiter was patient, attentive, informative and quick, very professional. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We’ll be back.
We went to Bru for Valentines Day. The food was delicious (as always) fantastic Mules and the service from our waiter was exceptional, very attentive and pleasant.
Awesomesauce Awesomesauce Awesomesauce Awesomesauce Awesomesauce
The food was great and service was outstanding! Despite it being valentines there was no wait food came shortly after ordering
Matt has done a wonderful job in making BRU a special restaurant and one of the best in Orange County. We delight in the fact that it is always busy. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is delicious. I tried the ahi the other night and I plan to order it again and again. Matt also does an exceptional job of circulating and making everyone feel welcome.
Always professional and courteous service as well as delicious food. Great menu options for everyone.
An enjoyable Sunday Brunch, even though my dish was not all that great.
Sunday Brunch.......these guys do it right! Every, Single, TIME!!!!!
Short-Rib Hash with poached eggs was spot on perfect! Wife had the Quiche. everything freshly made to a tee!
The noise level in the back room was way loud. My husband and I could hardly hear each other right across the table. I was disappointed in that aspect. Love the restaurant, love the food, but I will request next time to not be seated in that back room.
they were very patient with our large group that included 4 kids under the age of 2!
Just hands down a fantastic place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or everyday dining. So lucky TJ have our BRU in our neighborhood.
Small Family reunion: Sat us where we could socialize undisturbed, this was much appreciated. We were served at a pace that accommodated our more visiting than eating at first. Then the very good food and drinks were brought when we were ready. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Bru Grille.
We did not get seated till 45 minutes after our reservation!
The restaurant has a fun and lively vibe. Noisy but not too much to be annoying. Great beer and drinks menu, desserts are great. The menu is meat-centric but everything is very well done and well presented.
We convened a business meeting after hours, it was quite enough to have a conversation. The servings were adequate for our small group. I would recommend coming here for lunch as well their lunches are reasonable and delicious.
We love BRU! Every time we go, we never leave disappointed. It has become our favorite restaurant in south county. Great food, great service, cool ambience, kid friendly......its perfect!!!! Love their brunch and happy hour, and the BRU Burger is the best burger i've ever had. If you've never been, give it a try.
Great food, nice atmosphere excellent wine list and price
Went to have a small bite to share. Wanted to sit in the bar area however there is very little private seating and Is mostly communal tables. Bar area is definitely louder than the restaurant area which is expected. Sat in the dining area and service was prompt. Ordered a couple of beers which were good but need to be colder. For some reason when one beer was warmer than the other. But burger and fries were excellent as well as the speck and fig flatbread. It's close to the house and will go back. Hopefully The beer situation is taken care of.
My first visit. Was very happy with the service. The waitperson was attentive without being intrusive. Food took a bit longer than I expected, but it was prime lunch hour, so not unusual. The house Berger I ordered was tasty but a bit soggy and the small bits of greens falling of when biting were hard to manage, so a bit awkward for my business meal.
I was seated promptly, but my guest, who arrived before me, complained that one of the staff was rude -- he was temporarily seated by the greeter at a table which apparently was reserved. The second person (the one he complained to be rude) was very abrupt and annoyed that we was sitting at the reserved table.
Only other negative -- coffee could be a bit better.
Basically a fancy version of Ruby Tuesdays or Applebee’s!!!!
