The variety of food was excellent and of high quality. The staff was friendly and attentive. The park setting and location are perfect.
We were there for mother’s d brunch. Food was fantastic but the desert table was not very good. The price was a little high but it was worth it
We had a very nice Mother’s Day brunch.
It was perfect for Mother's Day! The food was delightful and the staff was too. The little desserts that they had was the icing on the cake! Will definitely be back there next year!
First time coming here for Mother’s Day brunch! Such a wonderful selection of delicious food. Not to mention the gardens are beautiful! We will be back for other occasions!
Great food selection! Very organized! Complimentary drink! Affordable! Great service! Fantastic!!!
Nice variety of food. And all of it was good. I’m still full!
Food was average and lukewarm. We had our 7 year old grandson with us who ate merely 4 French toast sticks and some fruit. He had a "to go" cup of chocolate milk. The price for his meal was $28.00!!!! The adult prices were $39.00! Way overpriced for average food. We were seated over an hour after our reservation and the room was so loud we couldn't hear each other. We will definitely NOT be back.
2nd time doing Easter Brunch. Open Table made it easy to reserve our spot and food was just as outstanding as last time. Love those Alfredo hash browns!
I love the Holiday Brunch at Boerner Botanical Gardens usually. There were nine of us in our group. The selections were good...mostly hits with only a few misses. (The piece of chicken piccata I had was pretty dry.) Many in our group, including myself, were disappointed that the creme brûlée never appeared on the dessert island as advertised on the menu. The woman loading desserts said she couldn't put everything out at it would come "later". We were there from 11 until well after 12:30 and it didn't happen. The commercial mini cream puffs and eclairs took up a fair amount of room but I can buy those myself at any grocery store. The desserts have always been one of the things that set this buffet a notch above others that we liked--but not this year. It's not an inexpensive meal...
Very nice place to celebrate the Easter Day with family. They immediately placed us at a different table when we requested it. Service was excellent. Third time I have been to your brunch and hopefully there will be many more times
We will be back for brunch. The food was fantastic. The service was beyond great. We have tried several places for brunch and none of them compare.
$25 for a 5 yr old child was a bit much. Not a good value there. Some of the food was barely warm.
Myself and Lilly thoroughly enjoyed our Brunch at the Boerner Botanical Gardens on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The food was outstanding and there was a great variety to choose from. Our waitress was very helpful and kept checking back with us to make sure we were enjoying our food and the overall experience at the Boerner Botanical Gardens. I would highly recommend the Boerner Botanical Gardens to anyone who enjoys great food, a cheerful atmosphere, and just an all around pleasant dinning experience.
Second year in a row we took the whole family (12people) for the Brunch with Santa. We were very happy again this year. The food was great, service was top notch. The only problem was a nearly 15 minute wait to check in, even though we had made reservations for 11 a.m. well in advance. Figuring the cost, it was an outstanding value. We will definitely come again.
My only negative is the price. I believe $23 a person for a brunch is on the expensive side. We haven't been here for over a year with our earlier experiences leaving a lot to be desired on the food quality. That issue seems to have been addressed. Every item I tried was much better than our previous experience. So we will be back again for some special occasion where we can feel the higher price is worth it.
Everything was good. Not great. But nothing was bad or poor. In order to make a Sunday brunch really worth while you need to pay the extra few dollars and go into the gardens for a walk.
Good place for Sunday Brunch. Cost of Brunch is $22.95 and includes choice of beverage, including; Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Champagne, and other standard beverages.
Very friendly staff that was accommodating when we had questions about dairy items. Karen the pastry chef was particularly nice about explaining a special dessert.
Food was just ok. It is served buffet style so typical issues w overwarmed and dried out dishes. Biggest issue was with the Zilli organization who run the catering. We made reservations for 16 for my mother's 70th birthday celebration on Open Table. When we arrived they had our party seated at 3 separate tables. When asked why they split us up the acting manager on duty, Sonja, said they don't make special arrangements unless you pay an additional fee. We explained that we tried numerous times to contact Zilli about our reservation. Despite leaving multiple voice messages and sending an email, no one from Zilli called us back. Sonja's passive-agressive response was "Well if it's that big a deal, we can break down all the tables and set it up again." She clearly had no desire to accommodate us. The room itself has limited windows along one wall, so you don't really get a good view of the "garden." They set up the omelette and desert station along that same wall rather than seat diners closest to the windows. The atmosphere was not special in any way, we could have been in any generic hotel ballroom and
They should have the special buffet all the time. That's way better than the usual one.
as usual our special Father's Day brunch was well done. Food is always tasty, service staff was always polite and willing and everything is always well maintained. I hate going to brunches where the food buffet tables are so grubby.
The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was poor. We had to keep getting servers' attention to get coffee refills and additional beverages. Waited a long time before the check was brought to us, and then waited a long time again before the server came back to pick up our payment. There were no desserts at all.
The food was pretty good. A little disappointed that everything they had on there menu wasn't available like the creme brûlée for dessert. The server we had seemed new so we had a bit of wait time on drinks. The Bloody Mary bar was nice but I didn't care much for the base.
Overall really good options for food and a lot of delicious items.
I can't say enough how awesome and amazing our family dining experience was for Father's Day. It was so so good! I can't wait to return again. Will definitely return soon. I hope they have shrimp cocktail next time too but may have been a special item.
I took my parents for Father's Day brunch. The food was very good, however I felt very rushed to finish up and get out of our seats. My father is 86, my mother 80. They don't do much of anything fast. The chairs were comfortable, setting was nice as well. There weren't many gluten free or vegetarian options. I felt we could have gone someplace else and felt less rushed and it would have been less expensive
the food was OK, but nothing special. I thought the ambiance was just terrible. Located in such a beautiful setting, one would have thought they would make an effort to create a beautiful space. The experience was way overpriced. Very sad to see such a wonderful opportunity so poorly manged.
All great, except wait staff a bit thin. Also, worst bloody Mary I've ever had.
We had a very nice time and everyone enjoyed it. Would do it again. A bit pricy for those who are not big eaters but there is plenty to eat if you desire. Liked the casual atmosphere and service was great. Friendly people.
The food and the service was excellent. There were many people there, so the noise level was high . It was very crowded in the waiting area. Mother's Day is very popular. Would have to come again to see if the noise level and crowd decreases
brunch is always very good. there is always a different selection of foods that are made from scratch., so yummy.
We had a great mother's day brunch! Kid friendly buffet with fancy but affordable food. The flowers in the botanical gardens can be seen from most tables.
This was for Mothers Day. The food was good. The service sucked. The waiter dropped off the bill right after we sat down, before we had even gotten food. When we did go up for food I saw him check to see if we had paid.
We had gone back to get more food and they cleared our table of everything including half of my Bloody Mary. When we walked up with our plates they were shocked. They offered me another drink but I was rather upset by then and said no. I won't go back. I understand wanting to turn tables but this was terrible.
Was here for my first-ever Mother's Day brunch. I called weeks in advance to make a reservation, no one answered the phone so I left a voicemail message. When no one called me back within the hour, and out of fear that the time slot I wanted would fill up, I decided to book my reservation on Open Table. Thank goodness I did, because it took restaurant staff FIVE DAYS to call me back and it was to tell me that they were full/not taking any more reservations. Thank you Open Table!! Completely unacceptable that restaurant staff failed to call me back in a timely manner!!
Some of the food was cold
Compared to last year, the staff was more attentive to our needs
We were seated quickly
Great Mother's Day Brunch with a walk through the gardens afterwards!
Well I made a reservation for 3 and was sat at a small table for 2 that was shoved in a corner where the servers had to go around us every 5 minutes (or less). My son, seated in a highchair, was forced to be bumped into by these servers because they couldn't give us an appropriately sizes table even when j asked for the table I had reserved. Also the food was only to-do. NOT worth $40 a person.
Sunday brunch used to be fantastic here when it was catered by Batolottas. Now that Zillys has taken over the food it was below average. Many items were cold, meat entres were over cooked, desserts were dry and flavorless. No waffle station, just soggy French toast that was not even hot. At $36.95 it was a disappointment.
We have been coming here for Mother's Day brunch for the past three years. This will be our last time. The food and service were both very underwhelming. No more Bartolotta's I would expect is the reason for the decline in the quality of the food. The brunch was sold out so we will clearly not be missed. Thank you.
Great venue for Mother's Day Brunch! Some of the food however left a lot to be desired. The Breakfast/Omelet stations and the Salad station were very good. Food was hot and very tasty. The Lunch (hot food) however was all overcooked and everything was very dry. Some of it seemed to have been pre-prepared and just heated up for the brunch. Being overcooked there was no flavor to any of the meat dishes. Very disappointing as previous visits for brunches at this location were very good.
