We dined at Boca on a recent Saturday night expecting a great meal but got much more than that. We arrived early so sat at the bar and ordered two different and original cocktails suggested by a helpful and friendly bartender. Then the host seated us at his "favorite table" which quickly became our favorite table since it gave us a fantastic view of the kitchen and the rest of the restaurant and bar. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the new location and what was kept from the Maisonette, about the menu and good wines to go with the meal, and always made a point to make us feel special even though we were just a mother and daughter having a girls' weekend. The meal was UNBELIEVABLE with nothing we didn't like. The foie gras macarons were perfectly sweet, smooth, sticky, and overall just so darn good that we ordered two more for dessert. The pastas we ordered (Lumache Porcini e salsicce for mom and Corn Cappellacci for me) were perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful that it was lick the plate clean with the homemade blue oven bad boy bread (which was equally delicious and warm). And then the fish, oh the fish. My mom had the branzino tasting and I got the salmon, but both blew our taste buds out of our mouths. Crispy skin on both (as it should be), flesh soft and flaky (as it should be), and the complimenting flavors that accompanied them made the fish stand out as the stars of the dish (as it should be), not to mention the beautiful presentation!! But the pommel soufflés were the stars of the night: essentially, hollowed out potato chips that have the consistency of a croissant! CRAZY! Ask how they make them and you'll appreciate the effort it takes the kitchen to set the tone for your meal with these delicate bites. And the highlight was a visit to our table by Chef Falk who absolutely fulfilled his philosophy of BPA (blowing people away). This was a dining experience to remember and repeat!

Literally best food I've ever had. I was with a couple friends for a birthday. Our reservation was late (the people at our table lingered quite awhile). They were super apologetic, gave us free champagne, an appetizer, and dessert as a thank you! Amazing girls night! Can't wait to go back!

COOKS MAKE THE FOOD BUT SERVERS MAKE THE MEAL. Our first time here. Promptly seated pre-show on Saturday night. The service was excellent until the food came, then.. she disappeared.. Grilled salads were great. Poached Cod was excellent. Salmon was perfect. ..then we sat, and waited, and waited, and saw her walk by, and waited ..after 15 minutes of sitting she thrust the dessert menus on the table as she came by. Nope.. out of time. Gotta go. Wine + salads + entrees = $135

Ignore the prices and order multiple courses, as if you were in Italy. (Antipasto) The beet mezzaluna salad (beet slices folded over cheese) were good, but the raw beets could have been cut thinner. (Primo Piatto) The pasta is divine and the highlight of the meal. (Secondo Piatto) The steak and crab was very good. (dolce) panna cotta and creme brulee were variations on the old standards and ok. The wine selection is good and the waiter affable and made good suggestions. Yes, I'd go again to try even more menu items.

Great place to go for a nice dinner. The food was excellent but the smell of truffle oil was prominent in the restaurant. Also be aware that the food portions are TINY for the price. I thought the pasta dish I ordered was a half-order. It wasn't. That's why the 4 stars.

A lovely venue with a great wine list and good culinary delights. I dined on a night before a business flight and enjoyed every second of it. The wine list is extensive containing a few gems. The food is simple and delicious - especially the tartare. Finally, the espressos are robust and rich.

I am lactose intolerant and usually have no issues in restaurants cause they have many options in the menu that are dairy free. I was surprised that in this restarurant 100% of the dishes had butter which is surprising given they have pasta, fish and meat. I ended up having to eat an off the menu green salad and a plain 6oz grilled steak for the ridiculous prive of 150 dolars per person! They will definitively not see me again.

Food was creative and excellent. Restaurant was very noisy, hard to have an intimate conversation. Waiter wasn't personal, we felt like he really did not care too much if we were there. He seemed rushed and was not gracious. Busboy had dirty fingernails (UGH!)

Everything about the restaurant is graceful, elegant, and authentic. The waitstaff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist diners with any need they may have. The dishes are outstanding and feature a delicate balance of creativity and simple elegance. The lobster risotto is simply superb, the pommes soufflées are a fun take on fried potatoes, short-rib tartare is mouth-watering, and you won't find a better pasta dish anywhere else in the city (well, maybe in their sister restaurant, Sotto, downstairs!). It is a great spot for a casual night out but elegant enough for a romantic evening or special celebration.

Superb cuisine! The best in Cincinnati consistently . I especially like one being able to order half portion, so that after two oyster Rockerfeller, I enjoyed a half portion of lobster risotto and a half portion of Atlantic cod. I felt comfortably satisfied with several different taste flavor sand textures but not stuffed or bloated.

The food was truly amazing. Everything we had, from cocktails to dessert, was outstanding. We went for our anniversary, and they seated us in a private round booth, which really made the evening special. The service was top-notch; friendly but very professional. This was a great place for a special event, and lived up to our expectations in every way.

Absolutely superb evening. The dinner was meant to be a celebration more for myself, though I was highly impressed with the attention to detail given to my grandmother. Not only did she have a couple aversions to the menu, but she is a very light eater. She ordered one course while my grandpa and I both ordered 3. Lindsay made sure she had something in front of her at all times. Top notch evening. Lindsay could not have taken better care of us.

We had dinner at Boca for our wedding anniversary. Definitely one of the best meals I've had this year. We ordered cocktails. I had the Madison, a very good take on a Manhattan, my wife had the Revelry which she did not like. I tasted it and thought it was great. Anyway, our server replaced it with a well made sidecar. We had the Pommes Soufflees, an homage to the Maisonette, where my wife and I went on our first date in 1974!
I had the seafood risotto and the beef tenderloin - WOW, amazingly good. Dessert was the coconut panna cotta. It could have had more coconut. Our server also gave us a free chocolate mousse on the house, it was excellent.
Outstanding meal, great place, definitely worth the expense.
