Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman Ratings and Reviews
Blue lived up to its reputation! We were at the Ritz celebrating our 15th anniversary and Blue was the perfect place to enjoy it. Blue marked the special occasion by serving us complimentary champagne when we were seated. We had the Bue tasting menu and everything was delicious - creative, flavorful and perfectly presented. The chef was able to accommodate my gluten and corn-free diet and even had delicious gluten-free bread. Our waiter Pedro was delightful. The only criticism was that the pacing was a bit slow, but we attributed that to the more relaxed resort vibe in Grand Cayman versus New York.
Exceptional fine dining experience received from the moment we arrived to when the waiter overheard I was cold & gave me a shawl. The four course meal was incredible along with the wine selection. I was also impressed in how well the waiters were in sink with one another. I felt as if we were dining in the South of France at a Chateau:)
"Phenomenal" is the only word to describe the elegant decor, soothing ambiance, fine service, incredible food preparation and exquisite presentation!
Enjoyed the Blue tasting menu ~ thinly pounded tuna with fois gras, grilled octopus and the monk fish. Ended with a trio of sorbets and French press coffee.
Must do dining experience ~ worth the indulgence! Go!
We went for the tasting menu and dinner quickly became an event. Easily the best meal we had while in the island. Service was incredible and VeeJay took the time to explain each dish and allowed us to take a picture of the wine bottles used for the wine pairing.
Our 12 year old daughter has been on a tuna-kick trying it every place she can. This was her first time to try Blue's version of the tuna foie gras- and now she craves it just like the rest of the family. I love it so much that I order it for first and third course- and I would do it again! I liked the seafood pasta for course two - please keep that on the menu! And the amuse bouche sunchoke soup- why isn't that on the menu? I would order a big cup of that for my first course. I would even request it next time I'm there. Which is end of August. Hmm, maybe I will request it... it was that delicious. An my husband who doesn't like soup really liked it, too. Thanks for a dinner we always talk about when we leave and we always crave it when we go home!
We went here during a family vacation. Absolutely loved everything about the place. Definitely worth the price. The staff is extremely nice & accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful & the food was wonderful. We did the choose 4 sampling menu and every dish was better than the last. Would highly recommend; everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I thought it was VERY misleading how my wife was told about the wine list, then we had three "glasses" of wine and the cost was NEVER disclosed and we ended up with a $281 just for wine when we ask for the least amount "by the glass" and could have purchased a bottle for that amount...the same thing applies to the food selection and prices were never disclosed until we got our $638 final meal for very small portions of steak & fish. This was our anniversary and out of all our events and eating out while there at the Ritz for a week, this was the worst as I felt like they where a snake in the grass and just out for our money as nothing was disclosed up front

This meal is an experience. Service, presentation, drinks, wine list, and the food was outstanding. Perfect for a special date night in the Caymans. We did the 5 course tasting menu which ended up being 7 or so small plates. Each more amazing than the last. We chose to purchase a bottle of wine rather than the pairing. The rec was on point. Don't think twice... book this now!
