Always pleased with the cuts off steak. Campfire for two is such a great deal. Dessert is amazing and I like that waitstaff is attentive and friendly.
One of the worst meals I have eaten this year....
Meat was tough
Potato was very small
Salad dressing was nothing but mayonnaise
The only bright spot was the server, Rebeccah....who was very professional and pleasant.
Taking Black Angus off my list!!!!!!
First off, they got my drinks wrong; second, they forgot the lobster; third, the actual lobster was massacred. Lastly, the prime rib was medium well not rare like I asked. What a nightmare.
Mother day,,,,is just bad overall... service is slow and food was cold and raw.
We were at Black Angus to enjoy Mother's Day and the lamb dinner we saw advertised.
We wondered if 6pm was going to be a good time and it was. The rush and hectic energy
was over, plenty of empty tables, and the noise level was low. Very enjoyable and delicious dinner and a very pleasant and personable waiter by the name of Eric. We liked his service and attention very much. We have friends who also enjoy B.A. and we plan to have dinner with them soon. We all love your Ceasar Salad.
We had poor experience on Mother’s day 5/13/18. We made reservations for 4 at 6pm and were seated at 6:30pm. Food took over an hour to be served. Our whole experience for simple dinner took 3hrs 30min. Food was cold and waitress said they were short in cooks etc... she was very overwhelmed. I also gave up my table for elderly couple as they were going to be seated at bar, totally not okay they should have sat them in regular table to begin with. I will think twice about going there again for a special occasion.
mothers day busy. first steak was almost burned, second was good, but wife had already finished her dinner. not the best experience we have had . Shaun, our server was great with helping with the whole thing.
Food and service was awlful . Food was raw and cold
It was Mother’s Day. Even so, the restaurant was not hugely busy. However, I think both the dining rooms and kitchen must have been understaffed because we waited well over 1 hour after ordering to get our food. The appetizers were cold, and the beef was over cooked. Even so, the food was “good,” and our server was attentive and charming.
Food was good....once we got it. It took over an hour from the time of order until we got our food, which was very disappointing. The manager did apologize for the kitchen getting backed up, but there weren't really that many people there at the time.
Our waitress was great however we waited an hour for our food! On Mother’s Day! Our whole section did not get their food for 45 minutes to an hour. Some people walked out. On Mother’s Day! Definitely disappointed.
I’ve been there a handful of times and not once have I had a bad experience until mother’s day I understand busy day but the food they brought us looked delicious until u bit into it cold cold cold and waited forever I expected delay but not for bad food to be brought out to us. Would I eat there again? Yes but never on a holiday or special occasion day just on a weekday and early so I don’t experience this again.
Way busier than normal but service and food very good.
Made reservations well in advance for Mother's Day. The waitress was snotty when I asked about the Mother's Day Special. However, that was the least of the problem. After nearly 2 hours, the waitress came passed and told us there were 4 tables ahead of us, then our food would be out--like this was a good thing. I asked to speak with the manager, who just shrugged his shoulders at me and said he'd heard it already. We walked out, and had to find someplace else to eat.
The service was great. The food was excellent. We will definitely come back again.
It seems the Chef was overwhelmed. My nephew’s hamburger and the steaks were charred on the outside. My other nephew’s steak was not “medium” as ordered but medium rare on the inside and charred on the outside. The prawns were delicious though.
Disappointed with our anniversary dinner.
I have been dining at Black Angus since I used to live in Los Angeles area in 1989. Always great service and great food. Appetizers are awesome! Recommend to try the sample platter appetizers.
While we frequently eat at this restaurant, I was disappointed on this occasion as i had ordered my steak medium charred. I received a steak which was rare and i believe it was rushed out due to the fact that a table of 20 guests were seated near our table so our server was trying to stay ahead. I sent the steak back and it was done more to my taste but for the prices charged this should not happen.
I will never go back to this restaurant. They ran out of almost everything we tried to order. They even went as far as to sneek us New York strip steaks when we had ordered ribeye steaks. We waited 1 hour just to get our salads and another half hour to get our meals. Overall worst birthday/ retirement dinner ever. Luckily they comped everything but drinks.
Always love black angus! Food, people, atmosphere is great for our monthly date.
My wife and I really enjoy this restaurant and come here at least once a month. Our visit this time was, I hope, an outlier. As the waiter delivered our drinks, he spilled a glass of wine on one of our friends. The waiter was very apologetic and obviously mortified at what happened. Our friend looked like he had the glass of wine thrown in his face and his shirt and dress shorts were soaked.
We sort of brushed it off as something that can happen. Where the issue came in was when the manager came over and told our friend to send him the dry cleaning bill. We were dressed casually and I can't imagine any one sending these types of casual clothes to a dry cleaner. Our friends received a full bill with no comp coupons or anything. Had I been the manager there would have been at least one free meal.
Having patronized Black Angus for the last 8 years, my wife and I were a little disappointed. While we will likely still go to Black Angus, we will be reluctant to invite new friends who aren't familiar with the establishment.
The Choices were quite varied for choices, food was prepared well and the service from Racheal was excellent. Our first time at Black Angus in Fresno, we will be back again.
Our server (Shawn) was a delight. Everything was great. Probably the only thing that irritates me (not only at Black Angus) is the $2.99 charge for a glass of Iced tea (cost maybe $.25 to make) and $2.99 for a Diet Coke. Next time we will drink water.
Excellent steaks. They did run out of filet mignon, which I wanted, although the ribeye steak was also delicious. Fun family gathering.
everything was good except for Asparagus.....way over cooked making it offensively distasteful....Waiter overly busy due to staff shortage....but excellent attempt to provide exemplary service.
Our waitress was AMAZING. My filet mignon looked like a piece of dookie and had a lot of fat.
Went to celebrate my wife's birthday, just the two of us for a nice quiet dinner out. Food was good, steaks cooked just the we ask for them, and my wife tried the lemon drop cocktail, and loved them (she had 2). Service was good, and not too fast or slow, our thanks to 'Jackie'. No complaints. We have been there before, and will go again.
Wonderful food and great service! Highly recommend the filet mignon
Surprised by the experience. I usually am very satisfied with the meals at Black Angus. However, not this time. I ordered a sirloin, med, broccoli and baked potato. The sirloin came rare. The broccoli was overcooked, and about 3 small spears only. The waiter took the steak back to cook it to medium. I must have waited about 15 minutes for the manager to bring a whole new steak, which when cut into, was rare. Also, the steak was not tender at all. I'll give this Black Angus a try again, but another bad experience will leave a really bad taste in my mouth (so to speak).
Steak was good, but the free lobster was more like a crawdad. It was so small I felt bad eating it, I was waiting for animal control to pop out and arrest me for animal cruelty.
I like the fact that they seat you pretty quickly when you make reservation. The staff is very friendly and I love the fact they they have a lot of spacey private booths. I like privacy when my husband and I go out to dinner on date night ( Saturday’s ) and their booths are nice and spacious. Food is always great.
great food, great service and great everything.
Will be back.
I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month and do not get tired of the atmosphere Northern Service know the food which is very delicious highly do you recommend this restaurant and using OpenTable app it's very convenient
We go here weekly because it is a fantastic place and great steaks. It is great for conversation.
Took my love to Easter lunch and couldn’t have been better.
Great food awesome value highly recommend for large parties
The food was good. The wait was terrible.
A friend and I made reservations for 6pm and we got seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Very nice atmosphere and decor. Our server, David R, was great. He had great recommendations and was very patient as this was our first visit to a Black Angus as I had the "Free Lobster" coupon. We both got Ribeye steaks (one 18 & one 12 Oz) along with the salad and steak soup. The steak soup was fantastic and the salad was cold and crisp to perfection. The 12 Oz ribeye was a little too thin to be cooked to temperature but had a good flavor. The 18 Oz was definitely thicker and made for a better "rare" option. I would not order the 12 Oz again. The free lobster was the highlight of the meal and made the whole experience exceptional. The cocktails were made correctly but were a bit overpriced. I would definitely recommend Black Angus and I will be a repeat customer.
