The food was not edible for me. the plate looked terrible, food just plopped down on it.
I have never given a restaurant this kind of review. If I do not care for the food, I always take responsibility because it was my choice to make. This food was a total disaster.
HOWEVER, I must complement the waiter and the management......they were concerned and treated me politely and seriously, volunteered to have me order a different meal, (I declined).
I think they deserve 4 stars for the way they handled it. Perhaps something was wrong in the kitchen. So, I will go back once more at a later date. It will take me a while to return but I will.

We were seated promptly and the service was great. I had the medallions and my wife had rissoto with blackened chicken. My steak was a bit tough but super tasty. If we had been at home the rissoto would have lasted 3 days.
The atmosphere was lively but the space is utilitarian. Good value in my opinion.

I made reservations a week early and there was plenty of availability at that time. We arrived a bit early, to find my group got the last available table next to the kitchen door in the very back of the restaurant. The restaurant was extremely noisy and it was hard to carry on a conversation. As a vegetarian, I ordered the the nut, fruit, berry salad, the large size, for my entree. It was underwhelming: about one TBSP total of diced dried fruit, crumbs of one type of nut and rather limp spinach, with a fair number of berries added. The table next to us was so close that the waiter couldn't or wouldn't fit in there and I had to yell my order across the table to him. I would not rush back.

We were disappointed with our meal. My fish was overcooked. They used too much sauce on the Sea Bass. It was just not what we expected after seeing so many great reviews. Perhaps we caught them on an off night, but based on our meals, I do not think I will return.

Always loved this place for their dining special sea bass. Was very disappointed this time. The size of the sea as was smaller than previous times and it had a very fishy taste to it. We were here for a birthday celebration and raved to our guests about this and was a bit embarrassed about the experience. Our service was good and we did not complain to the server. Don't think I would go back for this item again.

Food was great. Nice size portions. Wine Rec was ok but service was excellent otherwise. Sat outside on a perfect night in October. Tables were right on sidewalk so people walking past table. Streets Not too busy so ambience was fine

I took my 85 year old mother and sister as a last night dinner after their visit from the UK. The restaurant was freezing - majority of diners wearing coats or jumpers. We did ask for AC to be adjusted - not much difference. Portions were enormous, food good but overall memory poor - sorry.

Food was Ok to mediocre. Signature dish (sea bass) was a mediocre dish large in quantity and short in quality/flavor. Big portion restaurant with so-so quality and good presentation.,.
Service was bad and not sure our waitress cared too much.
Can't recommend or go back

Outstanding dining experience. From the time we entered the door and were greeted by the hostess wishing my wife a Happy Birthday all the way through the final bite of dessert, everything was top-notch. Service was professional without being overbearing. As for the food, I can't praise it enough. The starter of risotto caprese with shrimp was expertly prepared and delicious. My wife's snapper - highlighted in many other reviews - was delicious. The true star of the night, however, was the sea bass - a perfectly cooked thick filet complimented by a delicious beurre blanc sauce. Truly amazing. I told my wife that I will never order sea bass in any other restaurant because it will pale in comparison to this amazing dish. We will definitely head back to Bistro 821 next time we're in Naples!

Everything was perfect. We love the Sole. It was excellent as usual. The dinner was two couples celebrating the wives' birthdays. No special attention sought from 821, just a good meal and a chance to catch up. We got exactly what we came for at a very reasonable price. Not our first visit, nor our last.

It was a slow evening. Our female server was just ok. Drinks needing ask to be filled. Meal was just ok. Food could have been warmer. Too much gravy on potatoes. Almost swimming in it. Fish special looked greasy. Will ask for lemon butter and gravy on side next time.

The dining experience was very nice, comfortable with a noise level that allowed normal conversation. Even though the weather was a little to warm for us to sit outside we were seated right at the front window which gave a wonderful view but with the benefit of A/C. The price was reasonable and the menu was wonderful with many choices to pick from. The prices for cocktails, if you call your preference, was a bit pricey. If your looking for a nice quite evening dinner spot I would highly recommend Bistro 821.

It was a perfect choice. Our waiter provider excellent service on the street front patio and all his recommendations were so tasty. A must try dish is Miso Chilean Sea Bass and Thai Red Snapper. We really wanted to stay longer but it was incredibly hot outside and we happened to select an uncovered table, completely our choice. We will definitely return soon.
