I have always wanted to go to Mister A's, since I was a child as a San Diego native and this night certainly did not disappoint. The service is impeccable, the food delicious, the drinks were great but perhaps best of all is the view. We were fortunate enough to be able to dine on the patio under our very own headlamp and the view is breathtaking. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion but especially anniversaries as it has a romantic vibe as well.
So glad I was able to check off another one of my San Diego bucket-list items, I hope to be able to enjoy it another time, perhaps for brunch on a beautiful clear day in the not-too-distant future.

Fantastic food and service, our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, yet low key and unintrusive which was highly appreciated given that we were celebrating our anniversary. To sum it up: impeccable service, wonderful cocktails (they have a great mixologist), amazing food, incredible view & scenery. Just perfect!

Mister A's reputation brought us here. We were celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. We had high expectations for the evening. We were not disappointed.
It was memorable in every way.
Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience.

We were at Mister A's on a Wednesday night. Not too busy, so the expectation is the service would have been at least as good as previous much busier visits. We had to wait too long upon completion for our bill, and it was very uncomfortable because it was much too hot in the dining room. I did overhear a different server accommodating one of her patrons because she was cold (although she had a sweater to put on), so I suspect the A/C was turned down and it was too hot for everyone else in the room. That made the wait for the bill unbearable. Food and view were both outstanding, as always!

Each of our servers was extremely cordial and treated us excellently. Despite our young age, we felt welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All of the staff were polite and professional, and treated every customer with the utmost care. It would be very hard to find higher quality service than at Mister A's! Thank you!

Went here for our first wedding anniversary. Dinner was absolutely amazing and the sunset view was to die for. Only downside was that I requested (via OpenTable and then called to confirm) a window table, but they didn't have any available.

It was my sister's birthday and we have gone to Mr A's many times before, however this time it was exceptional. Michael our head waiter made us feel welcomed and wanted. The food is always on point, as it was this time. It's always a go to spot, when you want to be pampered. I only wish that jackets for men was still the policy, as a woman who dressed for the occasion I missed seeing the men doing the same.

We enjoyed a beautiful brunch on the patio with a spectacular, panoramic view of San Diego. The servers were warm and attentive. We started with an assortment of pastries to share, and they were wonderful. The menu offered selections with unique touches, and we all agreed our choices were delicious. I would call the ambiance, at least at brunch, relaxed elegance. We look forward to spending another occasion at this lovely restaurant.

We spent nearly $600 for 4 people. 3 of us ordered sea bass. The sea bass..... Which was the size of a deck of cards... NOTHING ELSE.... Not even a scoop of rice .... Was RAW. We sent it back.... Instead of giving us a new one they warmed up their mistake and sent it out. It was still terrible. Not even $5 off our check. Just plain awful!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!! I will also be writing a nasty letter and giving the review they deserve on Facebook and anywhere else I can find. Save your money. Run so fast you leave skid marks!!!!!

I wanted to surprise my husband with a very special dinner...I had no clue it was restaurant week and they were only serving restaurant week dinner so overall food was ok but nothing to be impressed of. I asked for a foie grass appetizer even though they would have to charge me because it was not in the rw menu but they refuse. So overall not impressed with either the food or service.

The view of downtown San Diego, the airport and the water is beautiful, so it is great for out of town guests. The food is delicious. I have had the seabass and the lamb and both were flavorful. Restaurant Week makes it affordable.

It was Restaurant Week, so...probably our experience was not typical. I had reserved far in advance, and requested as quiet a table as possible, for 3, by the window. We were seated directly next to the bar, and when I asked to move (and it was early: 5PM) I was told we could not, then, have a window table. Our waiter was friendly and fairly good, but I had to flag him and/or bussers a few times for water, ice, another drink. Not a good thing. Better reviews are for the food, which was perfectly delicious: short ribs, catch of the day, dessert, were all marvelous. Come on, though. Really? $18. for a martini?

Top-notch restaurant that is wonderful for a special occasion and has a great view of downtown San Diego and the Bay. Delicious and creative food, with attention to detail and presentation. (We both had the sea bass with Mediterranean veggie topping.) Attentive and professional service.

We had lunch during Restaurant Week. Our entrees were somewhat uninteresting compared to other meals we've had at Mister A's, but as always the service was very good, and we appreciated our server's excellent wine suggestions.

Went to Mr.A's on our wedding anniversary. Called to ask to please have a window seat to celebrate. I was told " we will do our best it based on availability and can't guarantee" . Now I understand why she would say this...However, being a special occasion some effort would have been made. Instead we were seated in the side dinning room and yes we did have a partial view of the city... just seams we were treated a little different. No one said at the beginning "happy anniversary" nor Thank you for celebrating with us. Last year we went to the Del and oh my the congratulations did not stop. Next service was a little slow for entrees and Paella was salty. They changed it...but still we had to wait for it and shared one entree till the other arrived.

Outstanding dining experience. Our server, Wendy, went above and beyond, to make our dining experience special and extraordinary. The food was incredible, as it has been on our other visits. We look forward to our next visit.

Prices have escalated considerably since last year's Restaurant Week.
Fish entree was dry and would have benefited with some sauce. Ditto the veal entree.
Wines paired with courses were excellent both to the palate and the purse.

We were a party of 3 and arrived about 30 minutes earlier than our reservation. The bar was full but they were able to seat us within a few minutes. We could not have had a better server, the food was excellent and the view amazing. The sun started to set and it was a beautiful night.

I really loved the the way the stall paid attention to the reservations I set for our 25th wedding anniversary. My waitress was Christen and she was wonderful and delightful. The whole staff treated us very well. We were even seated 30min early so we were able to see the sunset. My wife is still talking about that magical evening.
