Benihana - Denver Ratings and Reviews

They use too much seasoning (especially salt) in their cooking. next time will ask them not to use salt and pepper. They also need additional ventilation to remove the smell of the oil cooking on the grills. Food was delicious, but too seasoned. All-in-all a good place for a special family occasion.

We had a reservation at 7:45pm and weren't seated until an hour later. Our chef was less than enthusiastic, missed more shrimp tails than he got into his hat, and we sat a table with lots of kids....we like kids, but not necessarily on a Saturday night date night. It was loud, stinky, noisy and not as fun and memorable as in years past. Had to wash all our clothes the next day (left them in the garage because they smelled so greasy and bad. We probably will never go back to Benihana's, what happened to it?

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food and the service was very good! The only issue I had with Benihana was the entertainment aspect of the dinner wasn't there. In the past I have gone to restaurants similar to Benihana and the chef would put on an entertaining show while cooking the food. Other than that we really enjoyed our time there.

We love visiting benihana for special occasions. It's an great place to bring family or large groups. The staff is always very friendly and the chefs are great. The food is great and the ambiance of the restaurant is superb.

the cook wasn't as fun and energetic as the others in different tables. he was "mad" because we found a hair in the girl mixed with the food, when he was cooking the food so he had to clean up and re start everything.

Quality excellent. Prices expensive for quantity. The only thing I didn't like was the way the "rice" was tacked on at $7 per, from the waiter with a casual low talking voice asked if everyone wanted it and quietly mentions it an additional fee. Why? Make it part of the meal or make it clear there is charge , but the shady "add on" in group consent is a little shameful.

Food, cook was excellent. We had a 5:30 reservation and didn't get seated until 6:00 or so. I found myself asking waitress repeatedly for items such as lemon, left over container and asked for a group picture compliments of Benihana. She was very polite about helping out. My family and I really enjoyed the evening at Benihana's. Thank you.

Really fun experience for kids (and adults!) Food was plentiful and tasty, and a good time was had by all. My two complaints: it was surprising how long it took our chef to come to our table. We had four small children with us whose bedtimes were quickly approaching, and even though we arrived at 5 PM, the chef did not begin until nearly 6 PM (and we saw many other tables around us get started before us even though they had arrived after us). I also asked for my meal to be prepared with mild spice, and it was so spicy I could barely eat it. Overall though, Benihana remains a good place to go with children who will be entertained while waiting for their meal to be prepared.

Took my wife here. We had never been before. We have went to other places like this. The food had no flavor. We were on vacation and celebrating. The chef even speak to us or say anything than hello. I expecting jokes along with culinary show. Our local Ohana Steakhouse puts this place to shame in every aspect.

We had a great time but our service didn't do any of the show you expect to see at Benihana, we had to request a "volcano and train" So the kids could see it, I think the show is a must when you go to a Benihana, people go for the entertainment

I was really disappointed. The last few times we have been here for a birthday celebration was terrible. We have been coming here for over 8 yrs. Its not like it used to be. The cooks don't add any excitement and the waitress has forgotten our picture twice. I guess you only get to use the birthday coupon on Mon-Thurs because you get the fill in staff. It would be nice to use that coupon on weekends and actually enjoy the experience. Defiantly not worth the money and more than likely will not be back since service isn't getting better.

Our waitress, Sandy was awesome. Our chef was not very good nor was the taste of the food. I have visited Benihana several times, and the food has always been great. I am not sure what went wrong this time, but the food was definitely lacking in taste.

The Express Lunch was great. It was quick and well priced for what we got. It was a little awkward sitting at a cooking table instead of a regular table when our food was prepared elsewhere, but it was still fine. I would go back again for sure.

I brought my friend here for his birthday. The food was fantastic, but the service was very poor. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years, and I felt completely rushed throughout the meal. I felt like I had to hurry and finish so the next group could come to the table. The server had great skills and very personable but everything was way too fast! Also, everyone seemed over worked, and not happy. This I know for a fact starts with how management runs the team.

The restaurant was actually kind of dirty. My friend and I walked into the sushi bar area, and we noticed there were a smashed tomatoes on the floor. the kitchen also had so many people just chatting away and our waitress did not take the time to check up on us. They took forever to give us our menu, and the guys behind the sushi was not welcoming at all. they didn't asked us if we were being helped or needed a drink. For an open sushi din in, people can see what's going on back there, we were surprised about how many chatter box they had, but not one took the time to greet us. I'm sorry, but I have been to 5 star Benihana's before and this location did not make the cut for me. If I had a choice to give it a zero star, I would! they need more workers to be aware of customers walking and also a commend courtesy to ask customers how they are doing would be nice.
