Always love the service and quiet, peaceful seating. The chef does a wonderful job with every dish. The bread and speciality butter spread is incredible! One of our fav dining places!
I have dined here several times - food, service etc have been consistently great.
Delicious food and an unbeatable riverside view. The complimentary bread with butter/ cheese spread was really tasty. The staff was helpful and willing to make substitutions to entrees. The scallops Christian made in a Parmesan cream sauce was cooked perfectly, nice large portion and the sauce was fantastic.
Italian food was authentic and atmosphere was great. We loved our experience
Quiet night for dinner but our lucky one for date night! Along with our “as usual “ excellent meal we were delighted there was a guitar playing gentleman whose musical selections complimented our dinner out.
Decided to go here on a date night, glad we did! The drinks were amazing and the food was even better. Servers were extremely professional. Will go back any chance we get.
My favorite place for Italian food. Ive gone many times and the food and service is always amazing.
GREAT SERVICE . FOOD WAS GOOD . WINE WAS FANTASTIC , WE WRE FIRST SEATED CLOSE TO FRONT DOOR BUT ASKED TO MOVE AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MOVE US EVEN TOUGH IT WAS BUSY . I REALLY ENJOYED IT .
One of our favorites. Simply AWESOME. Favorites are the arrabiatta, canopies, and the lamb.
Best date night restaurant in Eagle. We have been here many times and it never disappoints. Outdoor dining is fun riverside in the warmer summer months. Indoor dining is cozy and comfortable. Halibut is a favorite. Seasonal dessert specials when available are always outstanding.
The smoked ravioli was good. The sea bass special was really good.
Dined on Friday night, 02/16. Delayed Valentines dinner . Had a 6:30 reservation. Seated immediately back by the window. Was greeted and given water right away. Sat for a few minutes- no server greeted us - but two servers each working on both sides of us- both of whom had to have seen us there unattended. Ten minutes passed- still no one. It was now 6:45, so we decided we would leave since we had hit the 15 minute mark - but I chose to go the hostess stand and see if we had a server. While I was there, Mallory came to our table- then came and got me - was very apologetic and got us started. She did a great job from then on out- offering us a free dessert for the poor start. Said there was a new hostess and a server mixup . Ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer, salad and entrees. My wife ordered the gorgonzola ribeye- wanted just a little pink - Mallory suggested medium well- but was going to note to have a little pink. The baked scallops were delicious - outstanding sauce. The ribeye was very well done to the extent that the edges were charred and curled-and certainly no pink. She gladly took it back - had it recooked. Replacement much better- but more towards rare. She brought a crème brulee- comped as promised. Never a visit from a manager as I would expect for either the long wait or a disappointing entrée. Had gone based on a recommendation - but wont return for a while to try again.
Had our 12 year anniversary on feb 15th. Mike was our waiter. Food was incredible. Cocktails were amazing. Host and waiter were awesome. We want to come back!!!
My Chicken Parm was served cool and rather dry. However, it seemed to be overcooked.
My wife's meal was the same. The taste was nothing to brag about. Sauces were provided with great moderation.
I microwaved the leftovers and added some liquid. It was much better.
We have eaten here three times and thought it was great. This visit was the day after Valentine's day, was the Chef on vacation? Great places are great every day. Waiter seemed to be confused.
Was here for Valentines Day; ordered chicken piccata, it was delish; but the side dishes that came with it; barely visible so tiny were stone cold. When I mentioned it to the waiter; the response was "the kitchen is struggling tonight"....my husbands pasta was very good as was the salad we split. I thought the two sides with the chicken could've been more generous for $20. Not sure I'll come back; this is the 2nd time we've tried them for a special occasion; first time I got the completely wrong dish; I ate it but no offer of a complimentary dessert....
Valentines dinner special was delicious and service was great! Will definitely come again.
Wonderful food, excellent service—one of our favorite spots!
Would have scored higher but it was Valentine's Day and VERY busy - which created a rather large time gap between drinks and courses. Been there before without that issue.
Our waitress was less than informative. She did not explain the menu change for the holiday, other than there would be no substitutions. When the food came is was appeared as if it was mass produced and cold. We had a mediocre steak, something that resembled vegetables and cold mashed potatoes We will not be back.
Delicious dinner. My grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken piccata—also good. We enjoyed a great bowl of gumbo which was part of their special Mardi Gras menu. This restaurant is a gem!
I reserved a table for two. We arrived 30 min early. The table was set and ready to go with all the desired asked for items. Very pleased with service and the food was even better.
Great food and service.
We live dining at Bella Aquila! The service and food are always top shelf and dining outdoors a long the river is an unmatched experience in the Treasure Valley!
Our go-to restaurant that always guarantees a great meal.
Wonderful dinner. Our server Nick was very attentive. The Ambience is very relaxing and the food selection is quite extentive. Both of our Mills had such great flavor and the appetizers were amazing
My husband and I had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary, our server Chris was awesome and the food was beyond good!
We were so excited to celebrate my daughters birthday here. It started pretty well with the Caprese salad, but once we received the entrees it all went down hill. Both my daughter and I had pasta and it was inedible. It seemed like it sat in the window under the hot lamp for a while, it was clumpy, barely warm and dry. We ate a few bites and our waiter didn't really check back, then some woman came and took it away. She asked if we wanted a box, as we didn't really eat much of it at all and when we said no, she just took off without really caring if we were happy or not. I did not bring this to the attention of the waiter or manager, as I didn't want to make a big deal on my child's birthday. When making the reservation, I completed the Open Table field that asked about a special occasion and once at the restaurant, they did not acknowledge it at all. The pizza's were also poor. I wanted to like this place SO much, beautiful restaurant, but the food wasn't reflective of the surroundings. Save your money and find another place.
Send off dinner for a friend headed to Naval boot camp.
Fabulous food, outstanding service, and wonderful relaxed ambiance. Our server, Chris, was attentive and efficient. Best place in the valley for a quiet and delicious Italian dining experience.
Food was good. Lots of choices. Served hot. Wine by the glass prices were pretty high if you wanted anything above 'drinkable'.
Service was good when he could make it to our table. NO fault of his but I think he was the only server. We thought that the hostess and owner could have helped him out more. Maybe they did but not with us?
We've always enjoyed this restaurant and plan to return.
Good food, friendly server Ryan. It was our first time there, but we liked it and plan to go back.
Whenever my husband and I travel to the Boise/Eagle area, we make a point of dining at least once at the Bella Aquila ("Beautiful Eagle"). This is a lovely little gem of a restaurant on the banks of the Boise River where you will find delicious Italian cuisine in an atmosphere of quiet elegance. They have an extensive menu and wine list; and the wait staff is fast, friendly and attentive.
On our most recent visit, I had the house salad with its tangy, slightly sweet dressing. Then I thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of cioppino and ended my meal with their fabulous crème brulee. And, yes, the caramelized sugar topping had just the right crunch when I dug down into the custard with my spoon. My husband had a New York steak and mashed potatoes. He said it was one of the best steaks he'd had in a long time which is a major kudo from my picker eater. He ordered the turtle pie for dessert. It was so thick and rich that he couldn't finish it in one sitting (even with help from the other diners at our table), so we had to take some back to our hotel for later. Darn! Our guest chose a cup of minestrone for her starter followed by the fettucine blanco with scallops. She ended her meal with the scrumptious chocolate decadence cake which definitely lived up to its name! If it's possible for a human being to purr, I'm pretty sure that's what she was doing when we had finished our lovely meal.
Having been born in Boise, of course I would like this place a lot. But knowing that it sits on the ground where my late Uncle's Otie Young's Eagle Valley Meat Packing plant stood years ago makes it all the more special for me. Try the food and the view just once, and I think it may become special to you, too! And be sure to check out the old meat packing plant photograph in the lobby. It brings back a lot of memories for me. Enjoy!
Great atmosphere, Great food, Excellent service. Will go back
The food was very good! The spinach salad was Excellent! As was my Eggplant Parmigiana . May great wines to pick from. I liked that if you did not want to spend over $20 dollars a plate they had great dishes that were under $20. If you want a very upper class meal they have that too. Very pleasant evening with a guitar player, playing nice older music more on the jazz side. The service was really good! Will be going back. :)
Excellent food and service, even on a busy weekend evening!
Second time coming here- absolutely fabulous- so great the first time for lunch- we brought our visiting daughter and her husband back to enjoy dinner. Great!
The food and service are consistently great. The menu has wonderful variety in both selection and prices. We were promptly seated but then told if we had a minute or two, they'd move us to a nicer table once it was reset - a much appreciated gesture as the first table was not awful, just a little close to a kitchen door and the bar. It's by far the nicest place in Eagle.
The service was great the food awd we'll prepared and presented. A very enjoyable meal, would definitely recommend this place.
The food and service was great. Our issue was that we didn't like where we were seated. The hostess first tried to put us right by the entrance, we than asked for the main dining room which has the best ambiance and they seated us in a back room which felt isolated from the main room. We will definitely try again.
We had another wonderful evening and we look forward to the next time!
