We were visiting Milwaukee for a week-end getaway and celebrated our anniversary with another couple. The food and service were good and the ambiance was nice. One of our servers was lovely and the other seemed unfriendly and appeared to want to be anywhere but working but it wasn't enough to ruin our evening.

Lake Park Bistro provides beautiful views of Lake Michigan, a vibrant, elegant bistro atmosphere, exceptional service and seriously delicious food. Our last visit was a weekday lunch and we were lucky enough to sit at a window table, and our waiter, Greg, made the dining experience really outstanding. This is one of favorite restaurants and we'd certainly commend the chef for a creative menu and wonderfully memorable flavor and presentation.

I invited friends to brunch and selected Lake Park Bistro because I believe it is the brunch in town with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The prefix menu is always a favorite. We ordered the Fruits et Yaourt avec Miel to start and it was wonderful with large, plentiful mixed berries. The roasted beet salad was also superb. Our entrees of traditional eggs benefit and Oeuf et Boeuf were very good and the Bernaise sauce was rich and creamy and the highlight of both dishes. On this particular visit though, the service received from our server was not exceptional.

I have dined here twice and the experience both times was outstanding. Excellent food and service. Wonderful view of Lake Michigan from the smaller east dining room (although the room does tend to get noisy because there is not much to dampen the sound). The Sunday brunch was absolutely delicious. My wife commented it was the best brunch she has had ever in her lifetime. This restaurant is truly a gem in Milwaukee.

Lake Park Bistro is the number one choice of our family for any special occasion. The food is excellent and the chef's accommodate any special need. The service is above par. The only little negative is that sometimes it is difficult to hear when the restaurant is full and if you normally have difficult hearing. But the atmosphere is lively and one can people watch.

After a couple of misses at dinner, we came back for brunch...so glad we did! We were seated at the best table in the house, overlooking the lake, and our server, Phil, was top-notch. Really excellent service! We both had the classic brunch (Him: fruit&granola, steak&eggs, crème brulee Her: cauliflower puree with pistachios, crab benedict, cheese plate). About $100 with tip. We will be back!

Wonderful food and service! We celebrated my wife's birthday. We had a cozy table with a great view of the lake. Our waiter was polished and knowledgeable. His food suggestions were spot on and the meal was delicious. We love this restaurant and drove over an hour to get there. We shall definitely return!

Any time I get up to Milwaukee I try and have dinner here. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. This was my girlfriends first time dining there. We had a great table, staff and service were great per usual as was the food. At the end of the meal after we closed the tab she decided she wanted a coffee, which our server offered on the house. The small things make a big difference and Lake Park always delivers!

Took a friend as I wanted to do something special for her kindness to me. We had the perfect table with the perfect view on a beautiful day. Service was attentive and well-paced. My friend loved the pieces of baguette. And, of course, tasty food.

This is our go-to restaurant for celebrating special occasions. It was interesting because there were two other tables the day we were there that were celebrating birthdays as well. The food is absolutely delicious, service is always top notch and we love the view. It is a great spot to enjoy in Milwaukee!!

Had a great experience for my girlfriend's birthday. The staff left her a nice card. We had a delicious meal and then I took her out to the staircase and proposed. They sent our waiter down with glasses of champagne. They went above and beyond. We were thrilled and would definitely recommend.

We attended the Lake Street Bistro as part of a stay in Milwaukee for our wedding anniversary. The food, ambiance, service and total experience were wonderful! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates wonderful and service at a very fair price. I plan on going again on my next trip to Milwaukee.

We come to the Lake Park Bistro once a year for brunch to celebrate a birthday. I love the view of Lake Michigan, plus a stroll in nearby Lake Park. You can expect efficient service, food beautifully served, and the menu offers something for everyone. I consider this to be a special occasion place as it's a bit pricey. A lovely glass of Sancerre was $15. Cream of asparagus soup was tasty. The eggs benedict made with crab was very rich and we each brought some home. My dessert of 3 homemade sorbets - strawberry, mango, and coconut - was perfect. Impress your out-of-town visitors by coming here and then enjoying Lake Park, or Lincoln Memorial Drive along the lakefront below.

We were so glad that they honored our request for table with a view of Lake Michigan, even with a large party of 8. Our table was ready if we wanted to sit down a bit early. The wait between visits from our waiter seemed long. It took around 15 minutes before a drink refill order arrived. Other than that, since we were in no hurry, we enjoyed our special night. The whole experience helped make the event and night memorable because the setting is so unique and special.

I was expecting good food and a place with great ambience. The view was nice of Lake Michigan but the food was not worth the price. We ordered the salmon and chicken and both were below mediocre. Way too expensive for the food. I will never come here again.

My husband and I were seated at a table for 2, next to the windows. This was requested when making the reservation, and we were pleasantly surprised that our request was honored. A request is just that, but perhaps an early reservation time also helps - ours was 6:00.
The tables are appropriately spaced, and the atmosphere was elegant and relatively quiet.
We ordered a bottle of wine with some help from our waitress and we were very happy with it.
For appetizers we had the escargot under puff pastry; we've had escargot many times, but never like this. It was very good. We also got beef tartare, topped with an egg yolk. The final mixing of the yolk with the beef was done table-side by our waitress. This dish was well-flavored and came with grilled toast.
The Oeuf Mollet avec Champignons salad sounded so good, but we didn't want to order too much food so the kitchen split one salad between two plates, with each plate having its own egg! The egg definitely makes this salad special.
Once we saw that duck confit was on the menu, my entree was decided on. My husband ordered the duo of veal. The duck was two legs, thankfully, so each of us had one. This was the best duck I have ever had, and we've had duck confit at Michelin-starred restaurants. This dish was excellent! We briefly considered ordering one to go, but instead decided it would be best to simply return here very soon. Oh, the veal was good, too....
Dessert was a shared Blueberry Almondine, a wonderful end to the meal. The timing of the courses was perfect, as was the service - friendly but professional. We will be back soon.

We had a lovely and romantic dinner! The service from our waiter and waitress was SUPERB!!!! The food was very delicious and decadent! The view of Lake Michigan was beautiful! The only glitch was the $4.00 upcharge for an appetizer that was substituted on the Chef Du Jour dinner. The price of the appetizer was only $1 extra ala carte but we were charged $4.00 for the substitution.... It was delicious, but I don't understand the extra $. Other than this, we were very impressed with this restaurant and will return on our next trip to Milwaukee!

Another nice evening at Lake Park Bistro. Service is always solid, food was very good this night. All 4 at the table enjoyed the meal. If any negative at all, its the mark up on the wine. We bought two bottles that were $99 each. It was quite good so we checked online to order some for home. The cost of the wine is $20. While I understand marking up wine, 5 times is too much, it should have been a $60 bottle. o

We had a very nice dinner choosing our dishes from the Chef's menu and the daily specials. The duck special was fantastic. All of the food was very tasty. The service was excellent. The ambiance is nice, the restaurant is in a park setting.
