I joined two friends who had not been to Lake Park in several years and they were most gracious in their comments about the food, drinks, and service. I am glad to see that some lower priced fine wines are on the menu as well. We sat in the "great room" where the higher ceiling makes for a quieter conversational atmosphere but not the view. The chef made an outstanding dish of ris d' veau for us that evening and it was simply wonderful. This is surely a Milwaukee keeper.

Did not honor my request for a table at or near the window in the front dining room for special occasion. Table had leafs that were hanging down with tableware actually sliding off - waitress said new tables were being bought. Are you kidding me! Noise level was unbearable. Easy to remedy if you spend some money..
Food was not as good as I remembered. In fact, it was very average. Service was excellent though. White wine was not cold.
All in, a 2.5 on a scale of 5. Not worth nearly $500 by a long shot.

This is continues to be our favorite restaurant in Wisconsin. We go here for special occasions and whenever we want to treat ourselves. The food is always amazing and the service is attentive and considerate. We have payed much more for much less elsewhere. Not to be missed.

My husband and I came to eat with our 8 month old son, and we felt like our waitress wasn't very pleased with our son being there which was kind of a downer because this is my favorite restaurant. I went here for my birthday and we drove an hour to get there. The food was delicious, the wine was very good just the waitress put a damper on our dinner. No one else seemed to mind, even the people next to us were smiling and talking to our son. Our waitress just seemed disgusted. We will still return though again because every other time we've gone was good.

We visited to celebrate my wife's birthday. Attended with our teenage son (and steak lover). The ambiance was wonderful. We were seated at a table with a view of the Lake just before dusk. Gorgeous view of the lake. Service was impeccable. Food was wonderful. Had one of the best creme brûlée desserts ever. Hope to return again soon.

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at brunch on Sunday, October 10th. We had a beautiful table with a lakeside view, and wonderful and attentive service from all of the staff. We both had the prix fixe menu, which is a great value. Everything was delicious. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Outstanding food and wine. Having lived in France I was excited to experience truly authentic French cuisine and wines. I was particularly impressed with the wines from the Alsace region of France. I enjoyed the Hugel Pinot Gris and will come back for the Rolly Gassman Auxerrois!

This is one of our go-to special event restaurants; food, ambiance, and service were wonderful. When we made our reservation, we indicated that we were celebrating a birthday; a card was waiting at our table, and the birthday boy enjoyed his dessert "on the house".

Charming historic building set on a hill overlooking Lake Michigan!!! This is a great setting for a restaurant that serves a large variety of special foods at fair prices. Lake Park Bistro is perfect for special occasions.

Onion soup outstanding with Gruyere. Entrees a little disappointing in the prep and service on the parchment encased sea bass. We had to shell whole mussels and remove tails on shrimp with the entre'. Just a little messy for such a formal atmosphere. Bread is on the mark, crisp crust and savory interior.

When making the reservation, I advised that my spouse was celebrating a birthday. Upon arrival at the table, there was a note from the staff with a birthday wish. Then we got to dine and the food was as usual, excellent. A special birthday dessert from the restaurant finished the outstanding evening.

We went for Sunday Brunch. Food and service (Elizabeth) both excellent. French Onion Soup, one of the best I've ever had. Fried soft boiled egg salad, Crab Benedict, Beef tenderloin with eggs, Mussels, all great. Great atmosphere and view. I'm sure wonderful anytime. Perfect for a special occasion.

Not as good as it used to be. Service wasn't as good nor was the food. We had to ask for rolls, jam, coffee. Early brunch was nice and quiet . Crumbs were nut cleared as in the past, rolls were not warm. Ham was very thin and tasteless on the benedict. It was so nice in the past. Too bad. We are going to the Harbor House soon for another special event and hope it will be great.

We had Oscar and Jessica as our tandem. Oscar was SPOT in but Jessica was constantly late or under-attentive (e.g. 3 times I had to ask for water and the main sever Oscar had to cover what was Jessica's role. The reservation and seating was extremely helpful and courteous. A busy Saturday and our baby-sitter was late arriving so we called to be tardy and the call was perfectly handled and we had no wait for a great table when we showed 20 minutes late. Great management but I would diminish the too often gauging of table availability by the hostess (4 times walked by our table to count). Overall great date night with my wife at the Lake Park!

My husband I got there early enough to get a window table (6:15 reservation). The view was wonderful. Our servers Jan and Sharon took great care of us. I had the menu du chef - all three courses were excellent. The entree was veal cheeks and they were so tender I didn't need a knife. My husband had the filet mignon au poivre. While it could have had more peppercorns on it, it was still cooked properly and was very tender and tasty. We hadn't been here in several years, but we will be back soon.

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our celebration. They were very accomodating in regard to changing our table. As one gets older hearing can be a problem when the accoustics are historically ? dated. Food was above excellent, our waitress a gem.
We'll be back if all goes well. Cheers!!!

Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro has a beautiful location. The service was excellent. We went there to celebrate grandma's birthday and the staff was very attentive to her. The food was very good, however the noise is the dining area was very loud. But despite the noise, we would definitely come back for another special occasion.

We made a reservation for our daughter's 20th birthday. I called ahead to request a table by the windows overlooking the lake only to be told that "everyone wants those seats" and that I would have to "take what I got". We were seated by the bathrooms. Service was terrible, waited 30 to 40 minutes to be waited on then another 30 to 40 minutes for each course. Appetizers were cold. Entrees were overcooked. We had to wait another 30 minutes to get our check at the end of the meal. This had always been a special place for us but, honestly, we will never go back.

Our server didn't take our order until 40 minutes had elapsed, after our sitting! She was unfamiliar with the wine carte. She didn't offer refills of bread until we had asked for some from another server! Fortunately she had no control over the food, which was fantastic.

Great food, wished the onion soup had more soup, service was fantastic, our water glasses were ahead full, the servers were attentive but not overly so, great seat overlooking the lake, bar looked welcoming even though we didn't sit there, ambience is happy and lively.

Went here for a birthday celebration. They had just what we wanted: perfectly prepared fish dishes and an excellent wine. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Course timing was excellent. Felt welcomed and appreciated. Very nice venue, located in re-purposed park pavilion. Will definitely go back for the next occasion.

Mariana, our waitress ,was an A plus, plus.
My wife and I were thoroughly taken with her genuine friendliness and sense of hospitality.
We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and she made that celebration memorable along with the ambiance and great meal , drinks and dessert.

My husband and I have been coming to Lake Park Bistro for many years. In our opinion, the food is the best in the city and the service is usually fantastic. On this occasion, however, one of our servers was outstanding and the other one was not good. His demeanor and service fell short of the great service we're used to at this, our favorite Milwaukee restaurant. For example, he did not bring the aioli or ketchup we requested until our pommes frittes were cold, and he just generally was not very friendly. His partner was quite nice, helpful, and attentive. My daughter's boyfriend, who has lived in France and currently lives in California, was with us and was very impressed with Lake Park Bistro.
