Seafood | Harbor East, Baltimore

The staff at the front when we walked in was welcoming and friendly. That started our experience on a high note which stayed high the entire time. We were happy that we got seated at a table in the rear room since it was not as noisy. The menu was eclectic and very interesting -- if only we could have had some of each item on the menu! We had noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary and we had a framed congratulations note in English and Hawaiian waiting for us. My wife and I shared the Lobster roll as an appetizer which was wonderful. My wife ordered the macadamia nut encrusted Mahi Mahi and I ordered the Asian Seabass with lobster on top. Both of these dishes were absolutely superb -- We highly recommend both of them. My wife had the Key Lime Tart and I had the Fruit Tart both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. I have to comment specifically on the Fruit Tart which was the most interesting fruit tart I ever had -- Zebra Fruit and Star Fruit made the tart interesting and special along with the delicious shortcake base. And finally, if you like strong drinks and enjoy the flavor of chocolate, order the Kono Cocoa which is topped with slivers of chocolate. The rum and chocolate liqueurs made a really fine after-dinner drink. Overall, we highly recommend the restaurant for its attentive staff and fine food. More

1. Charleston
2434 reviews
American | Harbor East, Baltimore

We have dined here several times over the past few years, as we pass through Baltimore on our way to/from Boston. We have never been disappointed. The menu always contains some signature dishes (my favorite is the shrimp and grits), but new, seasonally appropriate dishes constitute much of the menu. The wine list is extensive and there are some good values for those who do their homework. More

American | Downtown, Baltimore

I took my mother for Mother's Day and we had a great time. Everything was cooked perfectly, the waitstaff was very attentive and I couldn't ask for a better experience except...they threw away my potato when boxing my leftovers :( (it was really good, I wanted to eat it later! lol) So just make sure you specify what you would like to keep. 5. Sotto Sopra
1313 reviews
Italian | Mt. Vernon, Baltimore

Sotto Sopra has been my go to Italian Restaurant for about 15 years, the food is consistent and excellent, always very fresh and only rarely a questionable night in the kitchen. This dinner was no exception, a unique baked brie that we have never had there, an excellent lobster risotto that has not been on the menu previously, ravioli that is as always light and tasty, and good desserts, sorbet and a fabulous pannacotta. This is a really special place More
