Not At All What I Hoped....
When I made my reservation, I specifically asked them to call me to let me know if it was a fixed menu. They didn't return my call, and told me that even though it was a fixed menu they were going to have most of their menu available. When I got there, I found that that was not the case. There are only four selections for appetizer, for selection for entree, for selections for dessert.
When I ordered my appetizer, I was informed that two of the four selections are not available. This is pretty odd since it was still very early in the evening, it was only 8 p.m. The only selection that they had left were seafood options, which I do not eat. I asked what my other options were and they seemed annoyed, as if it was my fault they ran out of their menu. they finally gave in and did me a "favor" by giving me a Caesar salad.
We both ordered the filet mignon for our entree, it was covered in a sauce with mushrooms over it. While the sauce was very good, it seemed to me that they covered the filet because it didn't seem to be a true filet. There was entirely too much fat on the piece of meat to be considered a filet. The entire reason I get fliet mignon is because I only like a lean piece of steak.
Then it was time for dessert. Again, we were told that they were out of two of the four options. This is fine with me though because what we were offered as an alternate was actually more appealing to me than what was on the menu.
When we got the check, they had drinks on the menu that we did not even order, saying that it was what we ordered at the bar and was transferred to our table bill.
It's a shame that the dining experience was so poor because the staff there was actually very nice. But based on the food alone, and the fact that I feel I was lied to about the menu for the evening, I would not recommend this place and would not go back.
this was our first time at this restaurant and it was disappointing . There was a prefixed
dinner which was a bit overpriced for what we had. the service was disjointed at best.
I must say though that the meal was good. Though the Tuscan soup was not hot, it was
tasty, The Risotto dinner was also done well with the rice cooked just right. I enjoyed the
Red Snapper special as well. At this time I would find it hard to go back or recommend it

The salmon and veal entrees were both quite good. My wife found the house wine to be particularly good. Service missed some technical marks, but was most attentive throughout.
Way too much shaved ice in a drink may save money, but doesn't keep customers.
A Great New Addition
This lovely restaurant, housed in what was formerly a Mexican establishment, was a dining treat! We felt welcomed by the personable hostess as soon as we entered. The tables are spaced nicely…ours was with a window view. I ordered the red snapper….it was the best prepared red snapper dish that I have ever enjoyed! My dining partner ordered the veal marsala…his comment was the same as mine….excellent! Music was supplied by a DJ…soft dining music when we arrived. The music got a bit more energetic by the time we were leaving. Overall, a great new restaurant…and we look forward to our return visit.
GOOD FOOD GREAT SERVICE
We were a party of 4 dining out on a Summer Sunday Evening. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and only a few other tables were taken during our stay. When we left we were the last to leave. Our impression is not based on a typical weekend evening, according to the staff, who mentioned how busy Friday and Saturday was. This atmosphere enabled the service to be "over the top" as everyone paid attention to our every need. The Chef came out and personally answered questions before ordering and then again after we ate. The waiters and matre;d were ever present. But the best part of the evening was the food. Our dinners were superb. We definitely will return again on a busier night and check it all out...
Great service, great food
The restaurant was quiet the night we dined there. The service was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. Both the owner and the chef stopped by our table to make certain everything was fine. The Chef, who recently arrived from Tuscany, told us he would gradually be revamping the menu over the next several months. We ordered several items from the "specials" menu, and presuming this is the direction he will be taking, it should be fantastic.
New Restaurant Has Potential
Amore opened up about three months ago at the site of a former Mexican restaurant. The owners are trying to create an identity for it by embracing different ideas like live dancing once per month. The night I attended, it happened to be Latin night. The overall quality of the food and service is good. I brought my mother-in-law to celebrate her 66th birthday and she had a great day. Older folks will definitely appreciate what Amore has to offer. I'd certainly go back.
