Aldo's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We were celebrating our son's 18th birthday and couldn't have picked a better spot. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter was smart, funny and paid us the perfect amount of attention. What a great experience!
It's our families very favorite restaurant. It was a birthday celebration. Jonathan, our favorite waiter, made us all feel So special. The food is always superb and the dessert selection, over the top delicious!
We will look forward to our next visit!
This restaurant was absolutely great. Michael, our waiter, was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and did a great presentation. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our meal, it came out quick and was really really ( I mean really) good. This is our new favorite. We usually frequent Ruth's Chris but I actually think this is better overall. Price, quality of food, parking, ambiance and all. I hope to see you guys again, soon.

We have been fans of Aldo's for years and have always had wonderful meals there. Sadly, our lunches on Friday were very disappointing. Three of us had the Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad. We all agreed that there was hardly any chicken on the salad. Mine had one clump of gorgonzola cheese, one small piece of egg white, and two slivers of avocado. Both of the other diners said later that their salads were just as meager as mine was. At $14 this was a poor excuse for a luncheon salad.
Great place for a special meal. Authentic Italian just like I used to get in Napoli. Especially liked the veal marsala. Quiet, pleasant ambience but good for friendly groups, too. Helpful, non-obtrusive service. Surprisingly good value for the price.
Excellent! We split the beet & arugala salad. Delish! Husband had the stuffed veal chop special & I had the pasta special with lobster meat. We were both very full afterwards. We took a Napoleon home for dessert. Service was quick & efficient. Wine prices are steep. Menu prices are reasonable.
Wonderful dinner, as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the lamb lollipop appetizer. The lemontini was perfect and the tiramisu was deliciously Italian! Our waiter, Steve, gave us just the right amount of attention, and was very friendly. One of our favorite date night restaurants.
Dinner with friends last Saturday night. Excellent service! Lively atmosphere with live piano music. Had my favorite dish, the veal chop stuffed with spinach and mozzarella cheese cooked to perfection. Good Caesar salad with anchovies and hot out of the oven focaccia bread first. Friends ordered bronzing and salmon which they enjoyed. Husband had ziti with broccoli which was a bit too spicy for him. All and all a very enjoyable evening!
We have dined here many times and have always found it enjoyable! If you want delicious food options, from seafood to steak, and you have a special occasion such as a date night or anniversary this is the place to go. Definitely worth the wait and price tag! Highly Recommended!
Everything was very good, as usual, but the kitchen got backed up and our food took way too long for 3 pasta dishes and 1 veal scallopini. These are all sauté station dishes and should have been very easy to fire and get out. Twenty minutes at least, probably more like 25, and it was not that crowded.
Sometimes the expediting is off and that's that. Still a good overall experience. That's the thing about Aldo's. In the 24 years we've been going there, you can always count on a consistently good experience.
We were fortunate to get a reservation at the last moment but were glad we did!
we've been there before and have never been disappointed. This visit was to celebrate a birthday.
Thanks to Open Table for the convenient way to make a reservation.
As General MacArthur said in WWII, "I shall return".
I had. It been to Aldo's in 12 years, it did. It disappoint, the food and ambiance was as great as I remember! My friend and I had a great time and plan on returning soon. The waiter was attentive, but not hovering. Over all an excellent experience!
We all raved about the quality of our meals--said it was the best that we'd had in a long time. Our server Michael was one of the most professional and courteous waitors I've had. From appetizer, to entree, to dessert--magnificent.
Celebrated my birthday this year at Aldo's, thanks to an early season conference. It's been a regular stop during our August vacations to VA Beach. Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic as usual! I had the scallopini special it was absolutely delicious! The chef is creative and does all of the classics well - is it August yet? 😀
We enjoyed our dinner. Usually a waiter will bring bread to the table. Upon being seated the host asked if we would like some fo ccaia bread, we replied, sure. What a surprise when the bill came and we were charged for that bread. Very sneaky. We thought it was complimentary bread, otherwise we wouldn't have said yes since we only wanted a piece. I had the chicken marsala and it was good but needed some salt and pepper.
My wife and I were on date night and glad we selected Aldo's. Robert, our server, was terrific and he actually changed our mind when he discussed the evening's specials. We originally came to have the anniversary special but opted for 2 of the specials, a lobster pasta dish and a sea bass.. We shared a Napoleon at the end and it was divine. We live in northern Virginia but will be back---
Our server was Todd and he was outstanding. All of his recommendations were spot on. The Bone in veal chop and there Napoleon are to die for. I highly recommend Aldo's. Aldo's is hands down one of the most consistent restaurants in Virginia Beach. I came here for the first time in 1998 for my senior prom & I have be coming on & off for the last 19 years. It's still consistently great.
The food is always fresh and well prepared. The antipasto serves four as an appetizer, but my husband and I have enjoyed it as a healthy meal with a glass of wine for the two of us. The service is some of the best in the area. This is a great place for a casual meal or a special occasion.
