"I was surprised that they closed at 9:00 p.m. on Monday night. We had reservations for 7:30, with part of our party joining us at 8:30. Even though I told them this on the phone, they did not mention that they closed at 9:00, so we were sort of rushed out of there. Wish they had mentioned it, as we would have gone somewhere else."

"We were there for breakfast on Mother's Day. There were no place settings or condiments on out table. We had to ask for coffee refills, which didn't come so we had to ask again. Someone at our table had to get up and retrieve some place settings and condiments from an adjacent table. Food was okay. Huevos Rancheros was disappointing and non-traditional (the tortilla was a tostada stuck in the beans, sweet tomato sauce on the eggs). But the view was great."

"I have been to the Edgewater grill before and enjoyed the experience. On this last visit, I was terribly disappointed and embarrassed that I invited a guest to this place.

This time we were constrained by choices as my guest was a vegetarian. I am not surprised by the limited choice the menu offers for vegetarian, but the quality of food and taste of food was simply awful.

Ordered for appetizer: Spinach flat bread, tomato bisque, watermelon salad and pizzas (Vegetarian and margharita). All but the salad were inedible and awful.

To make things worse the food was severed before plates were brought. Could never flag down the waitress for 15-20 minutes.
That will be my last trip to the Edgewater Grill."

"The food was good but not outstanding. Our waiter wasn't very willing to talk with the chef to see if we could get half portions of our salads or any other menu alterations. The atmosphere is nice and the view is beautiful. It's a shame the menu is not more flexible."

"It had been a sad day for us, since we had just buried our father at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. However, our family dinner at the Edgewater Grill afterward was wonderful. The atmosphere was serene and beautiful. Alvin, our wait person, was outstanding with service, help with our food selections, and light humor! It all worked together to assist our family and guests in achieving needed closure and relaxation to end such a day.

I particular appreciated the staff moving our reservation up to an earlier time when the funeral didn't take as long as I thought. This was considerate so that out of town family members could start their journeys home earlier."

"The clam chowder was good, but the meat/cheese platter ordered was close to inedible and the 3 pizzas that were ordered were flavorless. We paid $127 for a meal that was worth $40. The waitress kept telling us how unexpectedly busy they were, but she was extremely slow even after the place cleared out. No one wanted to complain b/c we were all starving. What a waste of a great restaurant space."
