Andrea's Restaurant has received a five star rating for serving a superb variety of American and Northern Italian entrees accompanied by professional European style service. And if Andrea can't serve it fresh - he won't serve it. Andrea's restaurant is casual, elegant, and still affordale.
From a kitchen that takes no shortcuts, Andrea promises value for the dollar. We offer a special holiday menu that includes a choice of an appetizer, a salad, and anywhere from 12 to 16 different entrees with dessert for one set price per person.

"This year, I took my 94-year-old mother to Andrea's to celebrate the special day for mom's. She moved to the New Orleans area from West Texas last year, and this was the second year in a row that we chose Andrea's for a Mother's Day treat. It's kind of shaping up to be a tradition for us.
The menu featured a Mother's Day special three-course meal for $45, not including tax or gratuities. It was quite a reasonable price for what we got.
My mother pronounced it a "red-letter day," the stuff that memories are made of. I have to concur."

"My brother and I took our mother to brunch. The restaurant was packed but we were seated quickly. My only complaint was that it took 30 mins from the time we were seated until our food order was taken. About 15 mins after we were seated the server took our drink order, and walked away so quickly she didn't even give us time to say that we were ready to order, then it took another 15 mins for her to come back with our drinks, at which time she took our food order. She did apologize for the wait, and said that a server had walked out. The food was excellent, and the wait time after the order was taken was reasonable."

"I like Andrea's; I like Andrea's a lot. My family goes to Andrea's at least once a month because the food and wine are excellent, and we generally love it. Sadly, Franco has retired, and we will miss him. But this Mother's Day at Andrea's was our first and last "special event" there. First, we show up, our reserved table is taken, and we're instead seated in a massive room of noisy dissonance. After we're seated, contracted help brings water and then 10-minutes pass without so much as a hello. So, my wife gets up and tells the hostess we're moving or leaving and fortunately a table in our normal section opened up. But then comes the delay of starting anew with a new waiter, but at least we finally got service."

"It was my old schoolmate/long time friend's 50th bday & mine as well. I mentioned it on Open Table so that Andrea's could surprise my friend with singing, glass of wine or a happy bday greeting, but we weren't even acknowledged. I was truly disappointed!"

"15 min to take drink order, 10 to get wine, 10 more for corkscrew, then ( for him to come back to use corkscrew to open dime... Eventually the bucket, food order. Bread was delicious, food took much too long, lady was served last, food was cold (as in frozen center!), took 2.5 hours to have lunch.

"My wife and I just relocated back to Louisiana after 12 years living away. The food at Andrea's was superb, just as remembered, however the service was disappointing (our waitress was unable to answer simple questions regarding the menu despite insisting that she was experienced...thankfully another waiter noticed the difficulty and gracefully stepped in to assist. Also, it was early and too many wait staff were just standing around looking rather unprofessional. As for the ambiance..how about investing in new carpet for one thing... in general a little sprucing up would be a good thing."

"This place is a real gem. Because it is across from a mall and off Causeway Blvd., I assumed it would be more touristy. It is a wonderful, old style, Italian restaurant with some of the best food in New Orleans. The service is fantastic, the food is wonderful and the ambiance is like you stepped into the 1950s.
This is such a convenient location and one of our favorite restaurants in the region."

"If you are looking for a great Italian meal with a homey setting then this is the place for you. Decor feels like an old house in Italy...actually it looked very much like restaurants we ate at in Italy. Food was excellent. We had parma ham and melon as appetizer and char broiled oysters as appetizers which were both very good. I had the ravioli with crab which was really good but very rich sauce so would recommend a small portion with something else. My companion had a stuffed veal which he really enjoyed. Service was very attentive, friendly and gave great recommendations."

"Food substitutes were not what we wanted ruined my main course and my wife's as well. "Andrea's is one of my favorite restaurants ever. I've eaten there for prom, my anniversary, and my birthday dinner just recently. For being such a nice restaurant they have decent pricing. The menu offers a lot of variety and the food is fantastic. I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. As for the staff, they're always very friendly and accommodating, you never have to search for them if you need something. Also, every time I've eaten there, at some point during dinner, I'm greeted by Chef Andrea. I LOVE that even though he's a busy man, he takes the time to be personable with the customers and make sure they're enjoying themselves. They get an A in my book!"

"Valentine;s night was a horrible dining experience for my husband and I at Andrea's. Even with reservations and arriving 15 minutes early, it took 35 minutes just to get to the front to let them know we were there. We were told it would be an additional 15 minutes for a table and we were re-routed to the Cypress Bar to wait. We were in the bar for an additional 45 minutes until my husband complained about the excessive wait. We joked that things couldn't get any worse, but we were wrong. After questioning the waiter about how the fool was prepared, what was presented to us was not what he described. The food was awful and it took almost 2 hours (once we were seated) for a 3 course meal."

"We went during the evening of Valentine's Day and the restaurant was extremely busy. We had reservations and were seated fairly quickly but waiting about 30 minutes before we saw our waiter. "The restaurant and decor are beautiful. However, my fiancee' and I were not impressed with the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but it was "room temperature". Our "seafood" gumbo had one (1) shrimp in each of our bowls and was not hot at all. We also ordered the crab-cake appetizer, which was also "room temperature". We were disappointed that it was only one (1) for twelve dollars. I guess we assumed it would be at least two (2). The bread pudding was the hottest food item that was served to us.
Our bill was nearly $140.00, which I don't have a problem paying as long as I am TOTALLY satisfied with everything, which neither of us were."

"7:30 reservations were seated @ 8:15. Entree served @ 9:30. Obviously overbooked. Wait staff slammed and out showed. Saw several people leave because of wait. Won't make this mistake again."
