Amidst the sun, the sand, the beach and the fun was a scavenger hunt. From a local bar was taken an iron frog that was held hostage for a weekend of compromising photos. Over time this frog and it's five pointed crown have come to represent the five friends and their bond. What was once just a wonderful memory for five friends is now a place for new memories and new friends.
The Iron Frog Tavern. Traditional and trendy, with a few surprises in between. The finest neighborhood bar in the valley. Not just a place, but also an attitude.
"Three generations of us gathered to honor the moms. Food was delicious, if maybe a little bit slow, but we weren't in a hurry, and the moms had free mimosas. Not a cheap brunch, but lovely and pleasant and convenient and tasty."

"I would have to classify the Iron Frog as an upscale burger joint although I didn't try the burgers because there were other interesting items that fell short. Pork Belly Sliders to me were merely roast pork on a bun. Pork Belly is not roast pork. The grilled cheese on sourdough with pork was overwhelmed by the pork and became a roast pork sandwich with a hint of cheese. I'm sure the burgers were great, they sounded great and next time I would stick with the basic fare."

"Has potential to be a great, popular restaurant, but menu needs to be updated and food needs to taste better. There was a pretty mixed crowd of people (families, young couples, senior citizens) and the magician coming around to tables was annoying."

"This was our first visit. Table of four, we sat outside which was comfortable. Service was great. Food average & did take 45 min. When the restaraunt was not busy."

"Such a disappointment. My poor son ordered the eggplant special, when it arrived (10 minutes after everyone else at the table) the meal looked as if it sat under a hot lamp for 30 minutes. I wanted to send it back but he was so hungry he wouldn't let me. The waitress was never available and rushed us through our meal to the point of being Very rude. Half of us were still eating and she started collecting plates and placed dessert menus in front of everyone. This is a lovely restaurant, the service needs to improve or they will lose business. Our last visit was terrific, not sure what changed. Very disappointing."

"Service was slow and our main courses were seriously under seasoned. Our waitress tried to make up for some of our issues but I don't think we'll be back."

"We were looking for a casual evening out at a moderately priced restaurant. The Iron Frog seemed to fit the bill. Prior to the band the recorded music was too loud to talk, each time we asked the speaker near our table was turned down but the volume seemed to creep up none the less. Our food was mediocre: the salmon burger was mostly filler and undercooked, the shepard's pie had good taste but very little lamb, and the salads had the smallest salmon fillets. It's a place we would go for a drink but not for a meal."

"We had never been to the Iron Frog before but went for dinner there on the Saturday night the day before St. Patrick's Day. Both my husband I agreed it was the best corned beef and cabbage we have ever had (and we are both Irish and in our sixties, so that is saying something). They had a band named Grant's Tomb that started playing at nine. Usually we don't like noisy bands, and had planned to exit when the music started, but these musicians were truly outstanding and very appealing. We end up staying for another three hours. The restaurant presents a lively scene with an energized and welcoming ambiance. We are so glad we discovered the Iron Frog and will definitely return, for both the terrific food and the friendly atmosphere."

"The Iron Frog met every expectation we had of a local tavern. My kids and I were there to celebrate my wife's birthday dinner. It had good food and good service and good ambience. The quality of food was excellent. Two thums up from us and my kids."

"Went on a Thursday night for happy hour and dinner in the bar. Nice pub atmosphere and there's a deck which looks great for warmer weather. During happy hour all drafts beers and certain wines are $4 and the apps were half price or less. There was a guitar player who was very good, but he was just a little too loud for the size of the pub. The food was really good. Our rice ball app came with 2 large crunchy risoto balls and a big cup of cheese fondue for dipping. Yummy. The chicken pot pie, lamb shepards pie and mac & cheese were all very tasty once you added some salt. Looks like the chef lets you do the seasoning. Menu looked very interesting and we'll definitely be going back."

"Love the Iron Frog. The food was terrific and the waitress very helpful. We brought our children ages 11&12 and they were also very pleased with their lunch. Will visit again."
