"I recently went to Goin' Coastal for a birthday dinner gathering, and everything was great! They had set flowers and a little placard o the table with my name on it along with "Happy Birthday!" I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. I've heard excellent things about Goin' Coastal, so I'm glad we decided to check it out for ourselves."

"Goin' Coastal is a fantastic restaurant with excellent sevice and delicious food. We are never disappointed and always leave with a feeling that we will go back. The restaruant is small, quaint and offers many excellent options...and not just seafood. They offer many alternatives to fish and have a large offering of gluten free products. The prices are very reasonable for the area and you can tell that the ownership has great pride in pleasing the customers!! Love this place!!"

"If I could give 6 stars I would. Seth and the gang make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Known for their seafood, but they can rock a steak too (or pork or chicken). Sit at the bar with Joey (the best bartender in the city) to watch their amazing chefs in action."

"We had reservations for 7:30, but had to wait about 10 minutes. Initially we were bummed, but that passed quickly. The manager treated us to a glass of wine, the bartender, concerned we were drinking on empty stomachs, gave us some of their delicious cornbread, it was so good! Hubby had the scampi and I had the mussels. It was perfect. We are definitely regulars now!"

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food at Goin' Coastal. It was our first time eating at this restaurant and certainily won't be our last. I like seafood but LOVE chicken so I went with the stuffed chicken breast and OH MY it was delicious!! One minor thing - I didn't care for the corn bread, but my husband liked it. I'm a northerner and prefer mine a little sweeter that's all. Other than that I've been thinking about when to go back and how cozy the ambiance felt. :)"

The dish preparation that brought us into the restaurant was no longer available.
There were no other items similar (We wanted the baked fish preparation, that clean and light with tomatoes and olive oil).
The server was nice and asked if the fish could still be prepared that way. However, the chef was unable to accommodate.
We left without eating. The other dishes seemed a bit on the too heavy side."

"What a find! If you love good food and seafood...so great. I also heard that their steaks are to die for but, I am a seafood lover and I will pass on the steak every time. I love the location. Tons of bars around for a nice pre dinner cocktail or two and shopping as well. I had the lobster fritters...perfect app. Then I had the blackened swordfish with green beans and pimento cheese grits.....AMAZING! I loved how my green beans were not squeeky in the back of my teeth when I chewed...perfection and great great flavor. My husband had the shrimp and grits and he enjoyed it. My cocktail was divine the coastal cocktail. Next door is the gelato place get the choco and pistachio in a flower cone...yummy! The cone is so light and flaky."

"Chris is an outstanding server; he makes the experience feel as though it's a high priced, sophisticated dining experience rather than an amazingly cozy neighborhood gem. From the table cornbread plate (melt in your mouth), to the appetizers of mussels and oysters rockefeller, and then the family-sized salad plate (super fresh and gorgeous) to our entrees of the daily filet ($26) served with redskin mashed and green beans in a demi glaze reduction, and the Monday night Maine lobster special ($20), to the $5 limeaids, the night is always a huge hit and the food can't be beat. It's an outstanding time every chance we go. Though I believe the service makes it, the food is also not to be missed."

"Best sea food we have had in a long time. They use only sustainable suppplies which means no farm raised, gill net etc. What we ate was swimming 48 hours earlier. Portions were nice sized and every entree was prepared expertly. Wil be back many more times.
the only challenge is parking. It is in a residential neighborhood along with several other places and they have a few reserved places in a lot across the street, but more than likely you will just have to drive around a while."

"We love going coastal. Food is always outstanding and it has a great neighborhood vibe. Service has always been exceptional as well, very professional. Very family friendly, ask for a booth if available with kids. The only thing missing is draft beer - it's only bottles

"Wed night oysters $5/dz...what a deal! They were fresh and perfectly served. Fried catfish always good. Great neighborhood spot in the V/H area. Dining room is small but comfortable; street parking can be difficult BUT worth it!"

"I love this place. On Saturday, I came a little on the late side to avoid the crowds, but was still glad I made a reservation. We were seated immediately, and I had fresh halibut served along with a generous portion of salad on the same plate. It totally worked, and was a scrumptious blend of flavors. They now have a desert display, but don't go searching for it unless you want to be tempted. The cherry pie was not to be missed.
All in all, a very cool vibe, lots of regulars bantering at the bar, and an owner/chef who regularly patrols the dining room floor seeking comments and feedback from his patrons. Goin' Coastal is a refreshing departure from the stuffy chef-driven atmosphere of other establishments, and I can't wait to retur"

"Excellent fresh sustainably managed fish offerings prepared in 4 options (aside from other entree choices). Wonderfully prepared and plated. Great tasting and perfect fish preparation. "Miso" option serves the selected grilled fish is a bowl with broth, bok choy and cremini mushrooms. Nice to finish off the fish with a savor broth of miso broth."

"We gave Goin' Coastal another chance after not being too impressed on our first visit shortly after they opened. This restaurant has to be the loudest restaurant I have been to in recent memory. You certainly don't feel that you can have quiet conversation and the constant "energetic" noise does not lend itself to lingering around the table. The food was prepared well so for that I can give them kudos. We simply will not return because of the noise."

"I love the concept of this restaurant, i.e., sustainable seafood. Everything we tried was great and the portions were good sized but not over-the-top big. The fried avocado appetizer and the homemade pecan pie were special treats! Try them!!"

"DELICIOUS!! Sat at the bar, Joe was fabulous! I feel like we had the best seat in the house (the far left side of the bar) because we got to watch the chef cook at his station, and Joe kept us entertained & our glasses full. We had the mussels, fried pickles and "baked" swordfish .... sooooo good! Will def be back!!"

"The food was absolutely fabulous, and the service was great! It is a small restaurant, so we were quite close to our neighbors. As a matter of fact, we ended up striking a conversation with our neighbors on both sides. My husband is quite the foodie, and after years, we finally found a restaurant that has fabulous crab cakes! The entree was excellent! Our neighbors also enjoyed their food :-). We even took dessert home: chocolate mousse and key lime pie - so smooth, creamy, just right!!! I have no regrets and can't wait to go back."

"My wife and I had an amazing meal here and the service was fantastic. The salmon was perfect and the clam chowder was the best I ever had, and I am originally from New England. Most surprisingly was the ribeye. I usually don't order steak in a seafood restaurant, I am glad I did. It was incredible. I was thinking about it the entire next day. Another great experience at Goin' Coastal reminded me again why we love coming here."

"Absolutely great service. The first time I went was on a Friday, which is obviously a very busy night. We reserved and seating was kind of off as other walk-ins were seated before us and we had a reservation; however our waitress really made up for it as did Chase the bartender.
On 3/20, I went immediately after work. Tables were barely full and the place was all abuzz in anticipation of the $5/dozen oysters. Awesome service from our very attentive waiter Chris A."

"We had a very enjoyable evening at Goin' Coastal last Saturday. Our party of 5 were seated in a back booth in the back of the restaurant so we had plenty of privacy. The waiter had some very good recommendations on the wines and also helped with our ordering. I thought the salad which was brought out for the table was a great idea and a nice way to start our meal.. We ordered a variety of entrees and everyone raved about each of theirs. We have dined here previously and we'll be dining there again in the near future. I feel lucky we have it in our neighborhood."

"This wonderful neighborhood restaurant was recommended by a friend

The frilled shrimp appetizer was a fresh take on u-peelem shrimp,--and someone in the kitchen really knows how to prepare fish. The flounder Premesan was the best flounder dish I have ever had.
We are from Philadelphia and would plan to go back to Goin Coastal the next time we are in Atlanata."
