Contemporary Italian dining in a relaxed and chic atmosphere. The quality and service you come to expect from Cucina Toscana. Fresh and light fare with and emphasis on grilled vegetables and meats, pizzas, and homemade desserts
"For the prices of the dishes I expected much more from service to food. Food was tepid and cold in some spots, the plate was scalding hot (which was weird. It made me think it was microwaved), the food only ok. The waiter didn't know the menu. The waiter also got the drink orders mixed up several times. We had to ask for utensils when our food arrived. Once we got forks we had to ask for knives. Once those showed up we had to ask for napkins. The waiter also kept telling us inappropriate things about the rest of the staff. The tables outside for 4 were way to small for food and drinks. I would not go back for the prices being charged."

"Meat dishes are outstanding but the table side salad was bitter and the pasta dishes were disappointing, for $25+ dollars a pasta dish has to be gold but unfortunately the crab pasta was bland and the alfredo was too heavy and had no balance in flavor. I did enjoy the stuffed ravioli and the owner was really helpful. Also the ambient noise was a little much."

"Love the open flow of the floor plan and it was so nice to dine outside under cherry blossoms, in downtown SLC. It feels urban chic at Vivace. The food was good, albeit a bit overpriced. Quiet weekend night for them to begin with but the place filled up without me even noticing, so the noise level was quite nice. Service was great, Jordan was amazing. Norah Jones music was the only real bummer of the evening. Overall very enjoyable experience."

"Very fun and lively place. Bread and their special dip were divine. Entrees are very generous...two could split one with a salad and bread - plenty to eat. Very fairly priced. I had the pork loin wrapped in pork belly; the loin was delicious but the pork belly was too fatty for my tastes. Will definitely return."

"The food was excellent. Good selection and affordable. The service was very good. Attentive, but not overbearing. If you want really good Italian food without the formality of Cucina Toscana, this is the place."

"Bosco was our server, he was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The appetizers were unusual and very delicious. I had the special (Prawns over mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus) and enjoyed every bite. Everything was cooked to perfection and subtly spiced. The tiramasu was enjoyed by all six of us at the table."

"I am an avid fan of Cucina Toscana's mouth watering offerings. I anticipated the same experience due to the fact Vivace is a sister restaurant. The two restaurants do not compare. Our server was attentive and stellar. The food is nothing to write about."

"The three course dinner special at $22 is a great deal. It includes an antipasti platter, a pasta dish of your choice, and selections from the grill served family style for two or more. All the flavors were excellent and the service was very good. An added plus, there are no parking meters outside, so you can park without hassle on weeknights."

"billed as "Italian" fine dining, only thing on the menu that resembled Italian was the bread dipping sauce (simple olive oil with lots of garlic and anchovies). This is one of those places that puts more effort into the artwork on a plate than the actual flavor on a plate! And charges New York City prices to boot! The trout was soggy and tasteless, the pork-belly was very tender, but also tasteless! If there is a full menu with real Italian choices, then it's in the other side of the restaurant, I may or may not try over there."

"It was great. Only down side was that we ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped in pork belly. Our dish was 75% pork belly (fat) and 25% tenderloin - we got about 2 tablespoons of edible meat. It was very tasty, however, just smallish. Everything else was delightful."
