"Was so looking forward to dining here but went away disappointed. Had the special half moon ravioli stuffed with prawns and leeks in a lobster sauce. First impression when the plate was set down was so unappetizing. We eat with our eyes first and this dish was so bland looking on the white plate and after first bite very disappointing. Cute decor but probably will never go back. For the money so many more places so much better."

"I had dinner at Riccardo on 5/2 with a friend of mine. As I was waiting for my friend to arrive, I sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and very accessible at all times.
We asked our server for food recommendations, which he gave and we enjoyed everything that we picked. Note - Definitely get the Ricotta stuffed meatballs!! The space is small, which I like because it feels very cozy and warm. This would certainly be a good date spot. The lasagna was fantastic, and although we didn't save room for dessert, the list looked very tempting."

"Love this gem which is across from it's parent on Clark. While it may be known for a cut above normal pizza, the italian dishes were so outstanding and it was fantastic to see items on the menu which are gluten and dairy free. We go back as often as we can!"

"Bland food despite menu with terrific options...but when the selections came they were not very tasty, whether salad, main or dessert. Horrific noise...very loud and uncool background music and that made the diners very loud. It could be a terrific place but needs retooling...even tho new. Riccardo is great; this is not."

"Excellent casual spot with emphasis on fresh seasonal Italian small plates and crisp wood oven pizzas perfect for a noshing dinner. Small place. European feel. Great wine list. Fava beans with truffle oil are a must order. Seafood half moon ravioli was excellent. Rucoletta salad is spring itself."

"Two out of three isn't bad: The garbanzo bean soup and the Asparagus Milanese (asparagus with fried eggs)were very, very good. The Caprese appetizer though.... The tomato was pretty woody and tasteless (Whole Foods has much better tomatos), and the mozarella just OK. I'll definitely go back, just order a little differently.
The wine list is pretty good, too."

"Was a little disappointed in Riccardo Enoteca. Maybe because I was comparing it to Riccardo across the street. We all ordered pizza and expected it to be your typical flatbread, thin pizza. It was more like domino's pizza. Place is really cute and intimate. I would maybe go there for drinks again or I'd like to try a pasta but was not impressed with the pizza. They are fairly new so maybe they'll step up their game!"

"I don't think Enoteca is really much less expensive than Riccardo Trattoria, across the street but the food seems to be just as good, with a smaller menu, and, although it's also a small place, it's easier to get a table. We went Sunday night, tried many dishes and liked all of them. The special lobster ravioli and the spicy shrimp with polenta were wonderful specials. The veal caprese, cheese plate, arugula salad and cognac pate were great. The carpaccio was a bit skimpy but good. The bruscetta was more of a standard, also nice. One wine was returned and they quickly agreed it was bad. The service was perfunctory but efficient. They let the food do the talking and it speaks well to me!"

"Great food, very good value, warm and friendly service. The only thing I would change is turn down the music a little--but maybe that's part of being a more casual spot. We'll definitely be back."

"We often go to Riccardo Tratoria and were anxious to try the Enotecca. We throughly enjoyed the experience. The octopus carpaccio was delicious as was the veal parmigiana. My wife had the ravioli which were tender and flavorful. The wine list has a number of good, reasonably priced choices. The pizzas looked delicious as well. The room is small and a bit noisy, but it's designed as a casual spot. We are looking forward to returning."

"Ricardo Enoteca is going to be crowded every night once it's discovered! Ricardo was there and very engaging with the customers and had us try more than we ordered just to get our opinion. If you want tasty italian with a European ambiance I would recommend it! Try the Burrata - YUM! Located in the former Clark Bar, can't beat the location!"

"Small, but that is what give the place its charm. Food was delicious - waiter knew the menu and specials well. Also was there catching up with a friend and they were very gracious to let us linger (it was a Tuesday, but still)"

"The service was great, but the food was not just okay. There weren't many pasta dishes, which surprised me. We ordered scalops wraped in bacon, but the bacon was all fat, not crispy as you would expect. It was not terrible, but too expensive for what you get."

"We have been to this location twice and it is just as great as the Riccardo's that we love across the street. One of the things we like best are the right sized portions. We certainly prefer the nice, clear, simple but by no means plain tastes in a perfect portion than a huge portion that is dull and swimming in sauce and cheese. We are so happy to have both of these outstanding restaurants in our neighborhood."
