Napa is arguably the most famous wine making region in the world and is more than just a place. Napa is a style, an esthetic and a feeling. With a vibrant noise level, enjoy our vineyard inspired decor and escape with one of our barrel dispensed wines or beers and farm to table menu, using local produce and protein inspired by Chef James Cannon. With small and large plate offerings, Napa on Providence is perfect for a business luncheon, friends gathering for cocktails or families craving brunch. "We had a great meal served by people who care.The food had excellent flavors that were subtle not overpowering. The staff really cared that we had a great dining experience. We were there for a late mothers day dinner probably one of the last reservations on a long day for them and we never felt rushed.Price was very fair ,We loved Napa on Providence and will return."

"It was OK. It was busy, but not full on Mother's Day. Things were a mite slow. We were there for an hour and a half from seated to leaving. I usually plan on an hour. So, things were fairly slow. I hate to see what would happen if they were completely full with people waiting."

"After, eating at Napa when it first opened and being disappointed at the menu, my daughter and I enjoyed brunch on Sunday. We were seated immediatley (had a reservation) and the waiter introduced himself quickly. The waiter, who I believe was possibly new to Napa was excellent. He was professional, attentive and friendly. We both ordered brunch. My daughter ordered the special which was hanger steak and eggs. She said the flavor on the steak was excellent. I ordered the shrimp/sausage benedict and loved it. We split the bread pudding - OMG - carmel sauce was to die for and my daughter said it was the best one she has had !!"

"This was our second time at Napa on Providence. The first time we came for dinner and it was fantastic. This time we came for Mother's Day brunch. The menu is impeccable but doesn't have much to offer for the picky eater. The description of my meal also didn't match up with what I actually received. However, the real disappointment this time was the service. I wanted something really special with my Mom and was bummed when we didn't receive as good of service as last time. We had a server and a trainee and it was awkward the whole time. A few times they didn't even hear us because they would get distracted by something to the side and look away right while we were ordering. I hope to receive better service in the future."

"Everything was OUTSTANDING. We enjoyed a couple of small plates to start with (have to try the meat balls!) with our drinks. The wines on tap were awesome and we were able to get some by the glass that most restaurants couldn't even offer. I had the poulet rouge and it was perfect. "This was our second time there. The first time the food was good and showed a lot of potential. Duck was overcooked but tasty. The second time I got the Chicken, which to me is always the best benchmark for a good chef. It was dry, overcooked, and not much flavor. My guest got it also and said the same thing. We were both disapointed. My wife got the seafood cobb salad both times. The first time was good, the second time she remarked is was fair, but not really good. Wait staff is not up to par with what the restaurant is trying to be...
May try again, but not high on my list. Too bad, great location and setting."

"My *new* husband and I came to celebrate our wedding and had the most wonderful meal. We started with a cheese & meat platter and a Beet Salad to share. Our wonderful server Stephen was kind enough to choose our meats and cheeses for us based on our likes and did a great job. I had the Mahi - paired perfectly with a nice Syrah. He had the evenings special - a NY Strip. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly! We were treated with a wonderfully yummy creme brule and pot of chocolate desert to top off our evening. "2nd time there, and the food was, again, terrific! We tried the cask wine this time, and it was good too. As with the first time, service was just OK. Servers don't seem to know the menu very well, don't engage with the patrons, and aren't very attentive. I wouldn't call the service bad...more like apathetic."

"This was my first time here. The wines were wonderful and food was excellent (I had duck). We had a reservation and thank goodness we did. Service was a little slow and it took a while for our server to come back at times. Overall though, we will be back!"

"Great food with superb service. Our Server, Stephen, was on his A Game and provided top quality, un-obtrusive service. Pricing is very reasonable, the atmosphere is very friendly and upbeat and the overall meal delicious. I'd highly recommend this place and the staff."

"Felt the hostess was dressed pretty casual for the feel/pricing of the resturant.. Didnt care for the bar/server uniforms either... the bar area was nice but needs more dark colors brought in to warm it up and give more of a 'wine bar' feel... felt like they are still trying to figure out exactly what they want to be.
It was HOT in there, I had to go outside... a/c wasnt on and it was a warmer day... even sitting near the glass doors it was warm. Our server was good at first then was VERY slow... another server brought our food and nobody came back to check on us. The original server finally came to get our plates and took at least 10+ minutes to come back w/check.
Crab/Lobster cakes amazing, cheese balls great, meatballs bleh."

"As I usually do, I called way ahead to ask that the chef help accommodate my vegan diet. There was no evidence from our server that that message had been delivered to the chef, or that it had been delivered but the chef had not responded. Our server did a great job of helping me piece together a vegan meal and the chef executed it (a simple pasta with some veggies I requested). It would be nice to have more vegan options on the menu and to have a more accommodating staff for vegans like myself.Other restaurants in town have shown proactive versatility and skill in providing excellent vegan dishes for me. It has not been unusual for the chef to come out and ask me about the vegan dish he/she made.
Also, more wine choices and better prices"

"Napa on Providence might be the loudest restaurant I have ever been in. I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me, so at a table of 8, I basically ate by myself. (And Im not old and have good hearing.)The food is very good, but it the service is lacking. They forgot an entree and ran out of pizza at 8:00...how do you run out of pizza?? A manager type person kept coming to scan the room, but never did anything other than look around and walk out. Had he checked on our table, he would have noticed the poor service that we were receiving. Maybe the bad service starts at the top..."

"The food was a average. We had two servers and it was still 10 mins before we got our water and coffee. The food came quickly once we were able to place out order. It is a beautiful place but I will not return because the food was average and bland. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested."
