"We were running late due to a major road accident on Mother's Day. We had booked a brunch at 2:30 pm and couldn't get their on time. But even though their kitchen closes at 3:00 pm, the restaurant was very accommodating and kept their kitchen open for us. Food was freshly served and delicious; plus staff was patient and pleasant. I would definitely go there again :)"

"My family went to Earth Bloor West for Easter brunch. It was a fix prix menu and the food was very good. The downside, for us, was that it was kid-friendly and kids were screaming, playing video games (loud) so that we found the kiddy noise, frankly, a bit off-putting. The manager (or owner, not sure which) seemed to be very interested in making us happy but our waitress wasn't very good. She forgot to bring us out items we ordered. In her defense, however, she was serving a lot of tables and it was quite busy. It was our first time there and my husband and I decided we would try it again but, perhaps, more of a later night dinner when the little souled customers are (should be) sleeping."

"We have been to Earth many times and enjoy the food but service is hit or miss. I know holidays are unpredictable but service was off-seemed short staffed for the day."

"Very enjoyable — Sunday family dinner for 4 adults and 2 kids (13,9) celebrating a birthday. Three hours flew — starting at 4pm with half-priced Happy Hour appetizers! Very enjoyable culinary experience — kids ate from the adult menu and loved it! Gnocchi dish was absolutely our crowd's fav dish! Excellent! As was the Duck Confit with pesto and pecorino flatbread — amazing!! Italians love their food and this place did not disappoint. Lovely decor! Love the reclaimed barnflooring as accent wall. Friendly waiter!! Heard about Earth and always wanted to try it out. Glad we did. Big supporters of Earth's philosophy — think global. Buy local ! We loved it!! Very proud to have Earth's founders place their roots in our neighbourhood :)"

"Overall...an OK place for dinner in BWV. The steak was great but some of the specials were too salty (cod).....and the green beans were very very uncooked....almost raw.
Nice looking restaurant and staff were great. Received an apology for the over salted food."

"On winterlicious menu - the apple cherry crisp was delicious, and would have been divine if served hot not warm. But was very disappointed in the first two courses. The root vegetable salad seemed more an intellectual composition rather something enjoyable, all the individual components were well done and spiced, but did not as a whole come together. The cod themidor entree was a wreck! The dish was not composed, and not seasoned enough. The "hollandaise" sauce on the top of the fish was not a sauce but cooked egg with an overpowering brown butter taste, scrambled eggs on top would have tasted better (not that that goes with fish)! The potatoes were cooked well, but could not the chef find a better spice than nutmeg to season them?"

"My only complain, we booked brunch on a Saturday, when we arrived, the place was fairly empty and they put us smack in the middle of the row tables. I requested one that is closed to the end and was told that it will get really, really busy and can't accomodate my request. It would have been fine if the place DID filled up.
However, it was maybe 50% full when we left and I did not appreictate the fact that they did not even attemp to locate another table for us. Due to this little instance, it irked me a bit, OK maybe more than a bit if I am writing about it. Will I go back? Maybe not for a long while since there are many good restaurants around and some may even accomodate my requests."

"a pleasant surprise.... at the very last minute, we decided to dine at earth last saturday. great decision. from the greeting at the door to the first course of winterlicious, our meals were delightful. especially good was the parsnip soup and the rib with mashed potatoes; dare i suggest that these were almost as good as mine. if there was any observation/complaint, it would be that my roastsed potatoes were a bit dry......very small criticism as they had good flavour. will certainly come again.....only wish we'd discovered this gem earlier."

"Earth has a decent menu but it feels like they are trying to pull off a fine dining vibe but falls short. The menu I'd good for the sort of place you want to hit with some friends for a fairy simple dinner or even a few drinks and some apps. All in all it was okay but nothing to write home about."

"WOW! The food truly a gastronomical delight...every taste had me raising my eyes heavenwar especially the mushroom papardelle with rapini & squahs + root vegetable salad. It made my Birthday so special, the staff professional, fun and friendly! We told all our friends about it and may come back with them this week for Winterliscious if we can get in."

"Overall, this is a great place to dine. I love everything I had. I went there for Winterlicious. This is by far one of the best places I've visited. "I had always wanted to try Earth, because of its philosophy, so we came for Winterlicious. We were impressed with the variety of options for the prix fixe. The complimentary bread and honey-sage dip along with everything we ordered was exceptionally delicious and beautifully plated. The service was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and courteous, if not quite friendly. The decor was dark, earthy, minimalist and modern - extremely appealing. It is definitely my new favorite Toronto restaurant! :)"

"I made the reservation with open table and the restaurant did not have it when we arrived. The restaurant accommodated us. But we were in a noisy section not really suited for our purpose that night."

"This was my first time visiting 'Earth'. I enjoyed 2 of my 3 courses; unfortunately my entree, a cod, was substantially over-salted and under-sauced, although my parsnip and white chocolate soup was nice and rich.
The ambiance was nice, until the hostess sat a crying baby in an already-filled room of diners. The service was attentive, although one of the servers stood at our table twice staring awkwardly without speaking.
Overall it was a nice place for lunch and I would try it again - maybe for dinner this time."

"Went for Winterlicious. Definitely a 'nice' place, but a little stuffy/pretentious. Service was good but a little aloof for my taste. The food was ok, but again, a little pretentious. The best piece was the desert - chocolate torte, excellent. I probably wouldn't recommend but only because it's not something I think many of my friends gravitate toward, however I could see it being appealing to a different crowd. Very quiet and intimate, which was relaxing.
Side Note: In such a nice place, I would expect better washroom facilities, it's like an institution with the standard metal door-ed stalls etc."

"Went for dinner during Winterlicious and they exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent and we were surprised by how much we got for the $25 prix fixe. Of particular note were the ribs that my husband had and my veggie cabbage rolls with quinoa. The caramel pumpkin pudding for dessert was also fantastic!"

"Visted for Winterlicious dinner menu. Decor and ambiance very nice, had a great corner table that was super roomy and comfortable. Service was good, food was good value. Parnsnip white chocolate soup was great, short rib was slightly charred and bland, apple cherry crumble was great!"
