For eleven years, the Bavaria Restaurant has offered the warm ambiance of the European Alps. It has been a popular spot for families and social gatherings.
Our Owner and Director Angela Ruffer and her Restaurant General Manager Matthias Ross, invite you to join them and experience the fusion of Swiss, French bistro, German and Austrian styles. Discover our appetizers such as the famous Raclette from France, The Bratwurst platter from Germany, Escargots, and many more European delicacies.
Try our Specialty fondues, from the Traditional Swiss Fondue to four different meat fondues, followed by a Belgium chocolate fondue.

"We have been coming to Bavaria for years, it's a must for any Whistler trip. The cheese fondue is fantastic and one of the best we've ever had. The service is always great and tonight was no different. Our waiter was really great and also tipped us off to some cool live music happening in the village. They always go above and beyond here and that's why we always come back."

"We had the cheese fondue and fondue chinoise. The cheese fondue was delicious as was the chinoise with fresh prawns, pork and chicken to cook in a tasty broth. Plenty of veg and sauces to accompany and service was excellent, always replacing our stocks! The restaurant has a great look and feels like you're no longer in Whistler. Price is fairly standard for Whistler at $300 for 5 including wine and would definitely reccommend!"

"Great food, great service. Nice dining environment with the music (very original). Felt like we were in the Alps. Service staff were accommodating and pleasant, and the food was wonderful, servings generous."

"Although there was a computer booking error (we were booked into a 'blocked' table), they quickly found a table for us. We've been here before but it was our first time trying the Vintage Fondue. The tenderloin was extremely tender but the elk however was very chewy! We could not chew it. Our server was very nice and gave us some extra tenderloin instead."

"(fyi: I live in San Francisco, I like going to good restaurants, and half my family still lives in Germany -- I know German food.)
This is a surprisingly inconsistent restaurant. As others have noted, the ambiance is nice and the service is pleasant. The food is mostly mediocre though and definitely NOT German -- Italian cold cuts with a cheese fondue? And the vegetables and bread were cut to inconsistent sizes, hard for fondue use. But then ... with little hope I ordered the bison Rouladen, and it was EXCELLENT. As good as my Tante Trudchen's Rinderrouladen. Shocking. The other shocking thing was how large the bill was. So if you go, expect a good ambiance and a high tab ... and order something other than fondue. Good luck!"

"we returned to Bavaria with some trepidation as our last meal there (dec 2011) was not very good. I think our expectations were low so we were very pleasantly surprised that the food was back up to their original standards.
The cheese fondue was thick and creamy and hot!
If I had a complaint it would be that the portion size has decreased significantly.
There was a bit of a wait upon arriving as the hostess was MIA!
Overall though a great experience! Would definitely return!"

"Overpriced, blue napkins no tablecloth doesn't go hand in hand with prices on your menu.. We waited for drinks 30 min. and for starters more than an hour..Food quality was below my expetation, I don't think I will go back. Ambiance, umpapa music, slow service, flags?? even in Whistler shouldn't cost as much!"

"A great restaurant for that special occasion, a little pricey but still well worth it. As an example, while we were eating we were discussing that it would be worth the 2 hr drive from Langley just for the meal."
