Ruinas del Mar, “Ruins by the Sea”, is Hyatt Regency Aruba’s signature restaurant offering contemporary cuisine in an open-air environment. Guests are invited to enjoy menu items such as fresh seafood and steaks, hearth oven specialties, and a display of multiple food stations offered during breakfast, Sunday brunch, and special events. The design of Ruinas del Mar pays homage to several original Aruban architectural elements including caliche stone and the use of water in design.

"The Lobster/Crab cakes were excellent. The server thoughtfully split the portion onto two small plates because we informed her that we would be splitting the appetizer. Our two servers could not have been more attentive and polite and still remained unobtrusive.
We opted for outdoor seating which was extremely romantic.
The manager even came around asking about our meal and our stay on the island. While this wouldn't have been surprising a few years ago, it is an act which is in decline.
Only two caveats:
The outdoor seating is dark. While this adds a romantic feel, it makes it hard to read the menu. Two, while my steak was cooked to perfection, it did have a little too much fat on it.
All that being said, it was excellent."

"This was our favorite dinner spot in Aruba. The food was fabulous (scallops appetizer is a must, and the Kansas strip steak was delicious), the view was lovely, and the service was impeccable. 5 stars!"

"We dine at Ruinas Del Mar whenever we are in Aruba. It is our favorite restaurant. We love to dine outdoors near the pond and watch the beautiful four black swans swim by.
It is an elegant dining atmosphere--very romantic. It is dining as it should be."

"We have gone to this restuaruant for many years on our trips to Aruba
This time the decor and the menu have changed and not for the better limited menu choices and not prepared in any unique manner which is disappointing since it was always a place we would return to yearly even though expensive We will be taking this restaurant off our list of places to go while on the island"
