"This place was a great find. Everything we tried was excellent. We sat outside near the boat docks which was fun. The prices were very reasonable, staff was attentive and friendly. The only thing I'd change is more beers on tap - our server just listed 4 of them when I asked her. Otherwise - A+ and we'll definitely go there again next time we're in town."

"My family took me to Frigate's since I had been wanting to try the restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the lobster roll which had a lot of lobster. We went for lunch instead of the brunch since the price jumped to $ 27.95. I will try the brunch when it is regular price and sit outside next time."

"My husband and I had a great time at Frigates. Very casual atmosphere with zero pretentions and a nice mix of people of all ages and backgrounds in a clean fun river side environment!We had booked a table outside but my husband decided he wanted the two available bar seats and the hostess was most accommodating. The bar was busy with two or three groups all drinking shooters so the two barmaids were overloaded and the rest of the bar had to wait fairly long periods for service. However, once one group left that all changed for the good. I have to say that the bartenders did stay in good spirits while they were buried.We had been to Frigates on an earlier occasion and sat at the inside bar and had great service. "I called Sat afternoon for reservation for 5 and was told "no reservations on Sat". Went online and made my own reservation.
The waitress forgot to bring us silverware and plates for our appetizer. We ordered "crispy" calamari. Very soggy and sauce was not very good. We had free appetizer coupon but still got charged for calamari. Manager took it off the bill. Food not very good for the price.

"Frigate's is a great find for casual dining with a delicious food selection. Service is wonderful....especially Leah. When the live music starts, I would suggest turning off the outdoor speakers to whatever is playing inside. Also, I will call for reservations in the future. We had booked online and was told our only choices would be 615pm or 845pm. At 7pm, there were a number of tables available and remained available until we left at 8pm."

"We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at The Frigate. Our food was delicious, served hot and just as we had ordered it. Our waitperson was adorable and 'spot on' with her recommendations. I am only sorry that our 'winter in wonderland' is ending so soon... we'll definitely return next fall to enjoy many more offerings.

"It was our first visit and we highly recommended. They were very accommodating. I requested if one of the dishes to switch for part of another one (sauce and fish) and the waitress told us, there is no problem. I didn't want salad and she said that since I was not getting the salad, that I could order another side dish. And that was without me even asking if it was possible. The food was fresh and very tasty. I love the "friggin potatoes"...yummy!"

"It was my birthday. This was my first visit. Had the fish dip which was good. And for lunch the lobster roll sandwich which had barely any taste to it. Not something I would order again plus almost broke a tooth as there were pieces of shell left in it. Also ordered the frigging bucket for a beverage and ended up wearing it as they overfilled it and it was leaking out of the holes the handle fits into. Will be back to see how the Sunday brunch and music are. Hopefully better than my birthday lunch as I was not impressed with the food at all. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing however. "We went on St. Patrick's Day and were surprised at how empty the place was. The waiter was generally not helpful. He either was at the table every two minutes or not at all. When we were served our Irish coffee, he re-appeared in two minutes and wanted to know if we were done yet when we needed him because the soup was cold, he never came. He asked us if we liked the soup because it was the only order he had all day and 'who knows what a leek is?'.
I am not sure why open table is even part of this establishment. Empty on St Patrick's Day says it all!"

"We went for Sunday brunch arriving at 11am with reservations. We were greeted by three young ladies at the door and quickly escorted to our reserved table. The open air dining area was delightful on this sunny Sunday and our server was friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food selections were abundant and fresh. The Shrimp & Grits are an unusual feature on a brunch buffet, it was nice to see something different and delicious!The only flaw encountered was a lack of a supply of clean plates. Although we were lucky to have clean one's available on our intial trip to the buffet, many others after us were not, although two young fellows were constanlty running back and forth from the kitchen in attempt to keep up. "While we mostly enjoyed our evening, the hostess was rude, claiming that I did not request an outdoor table (I did, in the notes section of Open Table). The food was okay. My "medium rare" prime rib was definitely very rare and the mashed potates were bland. The appetizers are overpriced and not worth it. We will go back, but to sit at the bar during happy hour, as the outdoor vibe is great and the bar music was terrific!"

"Very disapointing.Service was substandard.High prices but no class.No tablecloths.or linen napkins.Waitress couldn't find a lighter for our candle.She had to read the special to us.No cutlery on the table.Won't be back."

"Very comfortable grill food served out along the water of a small inlet with boats. Tidy menu with some interesting items, such as their own potato dish using a play on words in their name. Our server was gracious and attentive and our Norweigan salmon scrumtpous. Casual, comfy cuisine."

"The food was pretty disappointing, actually. Fries were cold, grouper was way too salty. One person in our group had the french dip and was very happy with it. Our server was very cheerful and attentive, though."

"Super Sunday brunch with steel drum entertainment. Great menu of prepared to order omelets, beef , shrimp, fresh fruit, and all the expected breakfast foods. Shrimp and grits was especially good and the bacon was outstanding. Neat Bloody Mary bar. Made a reservation while there to return with guests next Sunday since we enjoyed it so much."
