"The tables are nicely space, it is not too loud -- so you can actually have a conversation!, while not being overheard by neighoring tables.

The service is great and the food is excellent.

I had the vegatable salad on this day, a wonderful choice, with chicken added.

This will be my restaurant of choice for lunch... only a few steps from my office.

I just hope it has staying power!!."

"Bedford and Burns is my go-to at least once a week. Consistently delicious food, friendly staff, great service, diverse menu choices. Will work with dietary restrictions. The chopped vegetable salad and the Gazpacho are the best I've ever had and the salad dressing is light and superb. The fresh flavors come through, the presentation is beautiful. Highly recommended."

"I work very close and so B&B is convenient for client lunches. After one very bad experience (plastic fragments in my mushroom soup) they are now well on the way to redepmption. The service is very good and I like the understated environment - not your typical BH nouveau-tacky ambience. Hope they keep it up."

"Classy interior, more in NY style than LA - traditional but updated. Quiet and romantic without being "too" quiet. Excellent food - an absolutely perfect Ceasar Salad, sea bass, and lemon tort. Above all else, the singular best service I've had in 15 years in LA - no kidding, and my wife and I dine out constantly, since I am in the wine & spirits consulting business. The main waiter in this place - don't know his name, is consummate. You know how irritating it can be when a waiter doesn't know his/her daily features, and clumsily has to "try" and tell what it is? This guy has the best delivery of specials I've seen - and both he and supportive wait staff were right on time with everything, never becoming a bother. Great experience!"

"Really wanted to like this place and we did like the overall ambiance, but the food was very mediocre and nothing special. The server and service started out great, but then it took over 20 minutes to get the bill after asking 3 different times, so we went elsewhere for dessert (which would have been mediocre as well, I'm sure). So we don't recommend this place mainly because of the highly average-tasting food, and we won't be back unfortunately."

"The french onion soup was just as you'd like it, plenty of cheese and bread all melted together. The judori chicken was juicy, the potatoes and spinach especially tasty. The service was friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. I'd go back anytime."

"We were looking for a last-minute dinner spot in Beverly Hills, and Bedford & Burns checked all of our boxes. Classic cocktails and a good wine list. The New York Strip is an affordable must-try, and the cheesy biscuits were an amazing way to start!

We made reservations for 8:45, but that wasn't necessary. By the time we finished our meal and dessert, we were the only ones left in the restaurant."

"Bedford & Burns is in a tough location. Many restaurants have tried, and it hasn't been since "The Ginger Man" that a restaurant has succeeded. I certainly hope that this one succeeds. The food is terrific. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I've been many times. Love the Vegan Green Soup, The Chopped Salad, and the new Chinese Chicken Salad."

"We really hope this place makes it. It has been a tough location for every restaurant since The Gingerman.
The interior is just right---well designed, elegantly casual, comfortable.

"I never wanted to like a restaurant more and never had a worse experience. The restaurant was empty but a private party had taken over the bar and spilled into the dining room. They were suppose to leave at 7 but when we got there at 7:30, they were still there and the noise was deafening. The food was mediocre, the wine list lacking and overpriced, as were the spirits. The evening was saved by an outstanding server but it is not a good omen when the Hostess apologizes to you when you walk in for all the noise and helps you find the quietest table in an empty dining room."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Service was good and food was well prepared. I had sea bass which was delicious. The rest of the party had chicken ( wonderful ) and salmon ( yummy ). Started with a huge chopped salad - enough for 4 . There are some very comfortable looking booths on the front patio - even though it is on the street it is relaxing because the street doesn't have a lot of noisy traffic. Can't wait to go back."

"Everything about the restaurant was great the food, selection, ambiance and service were all excellent. Our only complaint was that bread was not served with the meal but biscuits (which were very good) were available at $5.00 for two. For the prices charged we felt that either the biscuits should be served, if requested, at no charge, or at least have other bread available at no cost, if the restaurant wishes to charge for the biscuits separately."

"While our waiter was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, the service was a little uneven. It appeared he had a difficult table that seemed to put him off-sync with the rest he had or he just had too many to cover. Also, our appetizers/starters came out at the same time as our salads and soup. Didn't give us much time to enjoy the first few courses - just ended up with a lot of food on the table at once."

"The food is innovative, honest and delicious. The menu is extensive and even if there's something you like off menu which was the case (we asked for our salmon salad to be blackened, Cajun style) they gladly accommodated us.
My only criticism is, like most restaurants today, unfortunately on the louder side."

"Our party of 5 arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly and the (much noted on this site) noise level was fine. The restaurant is a nice space. Everything that from the kitchen and to our table was delicous. After 8pm B&B was full and much louder than most high-end restaurants (maybe all). Having said that, we held a conversation without a problem. Other diners have commented on the very slow service - I'll call it slow but that pace happened to meet my needs that night but any other time it would have dissappointed. One of the outside booths would be a nice place for lunch."

"The owners of Marmalade opened this great new restaurant and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the spicy yellowfin tuna tartare appetizer; it was sublime! Wild mushroom pizza had a thin, chewy crust and was baked perfectly. Artichoke's were some of the best I have had - the size really is for sharing. There are so many great appetizers you won't go wrong -- don't forget the cheesy biscuits! Service was spot on and the waiters were versed in all the ingredients and different preparations. The seating is comfortable and the tables are not too close that you feel like you're dining with the entire restaurant. The bar area is a good spot for a bite if you want to get in and out quickly The outdoor seating has couches and heat lamps."

"This location is doomed. Ever since the Gingerman closed decades ago, no restaurant has been able to succeed. The ambiance is lovely and the seating is nice but we ordered two salads which can within 3 minutes. They were tasteless. We asked for more dressing which didn't help. The chopped veggies were laden with dried herbs which are bitter when combined in a salad. Judging from those two salads, this place is also doomed to close."

"On a whim we decided to go to this restaurant. Everything was great. We sat at the bar, which we normally do at most restaurants. Service was attentive and the food was great. Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. Got the chicken liver pate and OMG, it was the hit of the night. Never thought I would like a dish like that but the flavor was incredible. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection and the flavor was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back."
