The Kill Devil Club is an adult oasis, downtown. It's Kansas City’s newest hot spot featuring hand crafted cocktails, plates for sharing and live music that moves you.
"Unique experience and unusual drink list. We went early (around 7:45) and it was pretty empty but as the evening progressed it got busier. Music was very good. I would not necessarily recommend it if you are looking for a quiet spot to have a lot of conversation but the atmosphere was very good. Drinks are a bit pricey."

"Great great fun, we were looking for Swing Dancing, found it with a GREAT band. "Dave Stephens Mustachio Bashio" party. Major fun, in fact I already checked to see if I could make reservations when he returns in June."

"The Club is really a fun, nice, energetic place to be, I enjoy going there especially to hear Dave Stephens. I will be back to hear other bands too. I will and have told other friends about this club.
I will definitely be back for more fun and the fun fabulous drinks. the specialty drinks are fun. I love the dance floor."

"Our group of 6 had a great time. We were disappointed that all of the deserts weren't available. We did have the cheese tray that went over well with everone. We will come back when we are in KC the next time. Thanks for a great evening."

"Definitely did not live up to expectations. The wait staff was rude and inattentive, drinks were terrible and short poured it seemed, food was overpriced and overcooked. There was a cover change in addition to the extremely high food and drink costs and the band, which was terrible, didn't start playing until 2 hours after its advertised start time. Definitely will not return and will recommend to friends to steer clear of the Kill Devil. Plenty of better bars in the area with better food, service and atmosphere."

"'Lively' place with a lot of energy. Got a feel that it was a meeting place for the locals which is always good!! Enjoyed the band and crowd interaction."

"Found in the southern end of Kansas City's Power and Light district, the Kill Devil club sounds like it should be a great music venue and dinner joint. Turns out, it fails to deliver on both counts. The ambiance wasn't just vibrant, it was annoyingly loud. I had to shout at my companion who was sitting next to me, our shoulders touching. And that serves to make the place a lousy music venue as it was difficult to hear the music played by the band (on a sub-standard sound system to boot). Dinner? Extremely expensive tapas-like items. Service was great...but nothing else was. 2 tapas plates and 3 glasses of wine cost $80 after a well-deserved tip. Go someplace else that knows how to be the bar it wants to be."

"Service was very poor, waitress seemed to forget about us and by 11:30 pm, this place wasn't busy, so can't account the poor service to that. Band was packing up just as we arrived, so no live music past midnight. The doorman was incredibly nice, and the company of my friends was delightful, which are the only positives I have. No matter where we go, we have a great time, but would have spent a lot more on cocktails had the waitress given us the time of day. We were a table full of women, she seemed to prefer the large party of men celebrating an occasion at a nearby table."

"It's the Power & Light district, so I expected it to be overpriced and sterile. BUT, a music club with a poor sound system is not acceptable. And the service is atrocious. We waited at least 40 minutes for our first drink. It takes forever to get a server to come to you and when they do, they're surly. I won't be back."

"The space and the band were outstanding! The service and the drinks, were not. Server rarely checked our table for drink orders. We were thirsty most of the night. Making Movies saved the evening!"
