A taste of Tuscany and local treasure that is simply delicious. For over three decades, Luceti"s has served Italian cuisine created by world class chef and awarded San Franciscan, Roger Bertola. Founder of the legendary Doro's, Ruggero's and master chef of Fior and the Iron Horse. Mr. Bertola was also the personal chef to generals Eisenhower and Paton. Today, Luceti's owners carry on the same tradition and cuisine that was started by Dr. Ron Luceti in 1984. Luceti's is a great place for private parties and business meetings. Full menu is available at bar.
"My husband and I now make Lucetis our favorite go to place when we don't want to go to SF to dine out. Their open face crab sandwich with melted cheese is to die for."

"My husband and I have recently "discovered" Luceti's and have gone back time and again. We take out of town friends here when we don't want to go into San Francisco. It's easy to get to and a great neighborhood restaurant. The calimari steak is great!"

"When arriving at the restaurant, it immediately has a neighborhood feel to it. It was what I was anticipating, and it was a very nice Italian restaurant where people knew each other and the service was lovely."

"Always a good dining experience! Consistently good food. Difficult to carry on a conversation when dining room is full; noise level is very energetic when everyone is enjoying the food and service,"

"We went on a recommendation by friends that dine there often and love it. However the minute we got there we were ready to leave..The few tables seated in there were loud and I mean so loud we had to tell to yell to each other to be heard. My chicken parmigiana must have been frozen, it had a not so fresh taste to it. My husbands fettuccini Alfredo was bland and also disappointing. Needless to say we couldn't get out of there fast enough. We didnt bother finishing our food and we actually went somewhere else for dinner.I'm sure the place is good if you want bland but this was not for us. Sorry."

"We were there for a 70th birthday celebration which we noted in the OpenTable reservation. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays as there was nothing brought to the birthday celebrant at the end of dinner.
The service was not good. It took quite a while before our order was taken. Entrees were brought before our first courses were cleared from the table. The wait staff was nice, but the service just was not up to par.
The birthday celebrant liked the food enough to come back again since our dinner there. The minestrone soup was good. The entrees were okay but nothing special."

"I made reservations for 4 people thru Open Table for 6:30 PM. We arrived at 6:15 and were told to wait a few minutes for our table to be ready. Although there was an empty table with no reserved sigh on it, I asked why we couldn’t sit there. Their reply was that that table was set up for 5 people. We were not seated until 6:50PM, and the table for 5 - was still empty. It wasn’t until we were almost through with our dinner that the restaurant seated a party of four at the table set up for 5 people. Apparently making reservations thru Open Table doesn’t do much good, we could have just walked in and got the same service. I don’t think I’ll be going to Luceti's through Open Table any time soon."

"Definitely the gem of this neighbourhood! Now under new ownership, the menu remains the same with some excellent additions and, on Tuesday evenings Tibor, the gypsy violinist, is back after a hiatus of several years. I had the chicken Jerusalem - delicious! - and my husband had the seafood marinara, which was equally delicious. Be sure not to miss the tiramisu for dessert. You won't leave Luceti's feeling even the tiniest bit hungry!"

"The new owner was very nice, food was always good.
It was my mistake to bring a discout coupon. I had to ask a few times to get water re-filled. Water was overflow over the table when someone finally came.
I will go again as I had been going there for years but will not bring coupon again."

"Service was incredibly slow. I think the kitchen got slammed early and it took them a long time to recover. We ordered at 6:20 and got our appetizers at 6:52. I had the spinaci salad and it was tasty. My husband ordered the clams and got about a dozen of them and oddly over half of them had shells that were broken in half. My Canelloni Della Rosa was good, my husbands linguini Luceti was bland and under seasoned. We didn't even look at a dessert menu as we had no idea how long it might take to get them. We will give them a second try."

"This was our first time here and it was SO good! It reminded us of the old days of restaurants where the regulars kept coming back for the food and to be greeted by their friends who met you at the door & served you. The carpaccio was wonderful BTW"
